Finally Chelsea won't be able to win la liga oh, they might get more fans even score more goals but then play and beat Madrid, Barca is another thing.

So it looks like it'll be Herrera and Matic in the middle as Fellaini is injured. Will be interesting to see how they fair as the 2 in the middle. Would like to see Martial and Lingard wide with Lukaku upfront and Mata behind him. Miki could do with a break. Lingard I think will improve our crossing from the right. Rashford could do with a break after that shift he put in the last match.

Sir Diggz, if Conte was to pull off the Pirlo, Vidal and Pogba midfield with Fabregas, Kante and Bakayoko, i.e 1 deeplaying playmaker and 2 box-box midfielders, please consider that Fabregas isn't as defensively aware as Pirlo nor is Bakayoko has technically gifted on the ball as Pogba yet only Conte's magic can work this out (even converting Willian to a box-box midfielder as possible option as he isnt functioning best as a winger). anyway

The notion was posts and comments here complaining about how porous chelsea's midfield is when Fabregas pairs Kante. Calling for 3-5-2 with Kante, Bakayoko and Fabregas (without considering if and how Kante or Bakayoko would fit a midfield system they have not played in before at club level).

Conte started clearly that he was going to address Chelsea's defensive issues, then the report about his reason for loaning out baba rahman - who is supposedly attack minded and won't fit his defensive requirements. Anyway Chelsea was defensively solid last season.
