The way I see it is its neither black nor white.

Look at it this way since it seems we all agree its all about business.

Whether we realise that Real Madrid FC is not the only business in this matter is another discourse for another day.

For those of us working in target or budget driven environments, we work with KPI's (key performance indicators). If you meet it you get FULLY MET or EXCEED EXPECTATIONS scores and a promotion and/or salary raise and/or bonus at the end of the company year end.

So the question is;
Has the club met expectations?
Has the squad met expectations?
Has CR or Bale met expectations?

Now the questions;

Has the club revenue improved ocer the years and this year?
Has the squad been successful this year and past years?
Has CR delivered this season and other seasons?

I think we all agree YES for the above.

Now the next questions:

Do we have an alternative for CR?
Can the club comfortably thrive as at today if he leaves?

A double YES to the above is the only instance that the club should call his bluff.
If any of the 2 is a NO or a DOUBT then Perez just has to give him an improved contract.

You are just trying to force this Zidane vs Pep argument to make it seem like you are on some winning side. You are not related to Zidane. You support Chelsea. Zidane never played for your team nor coached it.

Zidane has done something in the CL that has never been done before. Just leave it there. Pep has done his own (in football) and in actual fact has done more. We can leave it there as well.

The shallow piffle that I hate reading is anything to do with spending because they only bring it up to water Pep's own down.

Zidane has coached 3 seasons, he has one league title to his name. Some other people won back to back to back too. Zidane did not win a sextuple. Zidane has been 2nd, 1st and 3rd. In fact he needed this UCL to keep his job.

Some other people were winning league together with UCL each time they won it. Benitez won UCL with Liverpool yet flopped with Madrid. RDM won with Chelsea and Klopp has flopped twice there fore RDM is better than Klopp?

The league is a better indicator of whether a coach is good or not. 38 games played and everyone plays everyone. Completely eliminates or at least minimizes luck from refereeing errors, favorable draws, injuries to oppositions players etc.
