In this back line, only rudiger and cesar I think is fast enough for a high line. Alonso will get terribly exposed in this set up (watch spurs 3rd goal and see how Alonso was struggling to catch up with son). Christensen is also not fast but zouma is coming back so that area is covered.

those teams have been in UCL for the past two to three seasons. their team bang in more goals than Chelsea and play an enviable style of football yet they didn't have to break the bank like city to win the league and Carabao cup or like united and still go trophyless.

money doesn't guarantee victory. if you can't establish your own players then you have a serious problem.

buying one or two "established" players doesn't change the fact that fringe (upcoming) players will be in a starting eleven.
