This clip does not fully capture how Mendy was treated. I have seen a clearer video showing that the Senegalese bench had to assign the second goalkeeper to stand behind the post so that, whenever Mendy needed his towel, it could be handed to him directly. Even then, some individuals still roughly handled the man in an attempt to take the towel, despite the presence of security

I made the mistake of rooting for Morocco in Qatar. After that video of their celebration came out, I learned my lesson.


I will never make such a mistake again.

Like I knew their character and I was willing to look past it just for the thrill of seeing an African nation get to the world cup semis

But this? This is disgraceful.

As a response, Senegal positioned their second goalkeeper behind the goalpost, to hand the towel to Mendy whenever he needed it.
But many Moroccan fans or their security repeatedly bullied and chased him away even dragging him away from that position.
The referee and his assistants clearly saw these incidents but failed to take any action to stop it.
And yet CAF award them the fairplay award of the tournament . Nonsense .
