Don't panic ! UI always have unique model for her admission screening. So if you have 50% and above ,you are a uites already. But it might not be your most preferred course. Congratulation once again.

With less Dan average..especially last year dat u r laying emphasis on UI didn't admit cand with 49%(imagine how close 49 nd 50 was)
And moreover last year UI publicly update cand. Post ume score,jamb reg numb,names nd course of choice. Those with 49's were not admitted...I myself, copied nd paste those with 49's reg. Numb to confirm dre admin status in jamb website..guess wat i found... ''NO ADMISSION YET''

UTME APPLICANTS
Candidates who wrote the recently
concluded post UTME of the University of
Ibadan and scored less than 50 marks have
been advised to start seeking admission
placement in other institutions, a source
close to the authorities of the institution
who preferred anonymity made this known
to campus times on Friday. According to the
source, as of Wednesday (Oct. 2) names of
candidates who scored less than 50 marks
in the examination had already been
dropped by the admission office.
Campus Times gathered that already, names
of candidates who scored 50 marks and
above have been sorted according to the
departments they applied to and ranked by
candidates’ scores. Sources informed CT that
there was no automatic admission even for
those who scored above the 50 marks, but
that there were chances that some of them
would be recommended for admission in
other less subscribed departments.
Meanwhile, there are indications that the
admission office of the university may snub
inputs from the various departments in the
institution in this year’s admission process.
This is due to the lingering industrial action
by ASUU which has delayed the admission
process till now. “NUC has issued a deadline
for the conclusion of admission process by
universities this year and we have to meet
the deadline whether or not ASUU calls off
its strike soon” a source said.
Although academic staffs in the university of
Ibadan have always been instrumental in
fixing the cut off marks for admission of
freshmen, ASUU, the union of the academic
staff, has been on strike since 1st July 2013
over issues of breach of agreement by the
Federal Government, a development which
leaves the non-academic staff at the
university’s admission unit to take the sole
decision on this year’s admission process.

matson247: Hello guys. Dont feel so pessimistic abt ur admission into U.I. I knw one tin for sure dat U.I will pass d percentage of people dey want to admitt. So if u make d cut off be happy oo. And also if u wanna know ur faith abt ur main course. Gon and check last year cut off. A prof told me dat last yr cut off wil also be use for dis yr cos many people failed dis yr if not for many nairalander dat pass u will knw wat i am saying. I thank God for my Life

don't think dat ui will use last year cutoff mark!! Cause dixx year ui adopt anoda method entirely diff frm last year method!! Though I'm bit terrify about my course of choice cutoff i.e. Pol science 69.6 and i had 66 i just pray ui won't exceed dixx range 60-65 for pol science cutoff @ worst.......
