PoliticsRe: Panic In NNPC, Other Oil Agencies by morningsta(m): 11:42am On Apr 04, 2015
Keneking:
Ok...I recommend a committee made up of the following persons to aggregate opinions on all records and documents relating to this sector since 1999 - 2015.

1. Former petroleum and downstream committee heads in NASS - HoR and Senate

2. All previous NEITI and Special committee reports

3. Oby Ezekwesili and Prof. Charles Soludo

4. PwC, Ernst &Young and all past independent auditors

5. All past ministers and CBN governors

6. All past ministers of finance and economy

7. Investigate all subsidy claims paid to oil marketers from 1999 - 2015.

8. Invite the leadership of MNC and local players in upstream and downstream to submit their position on moving forward on that sector.

9. Sack the current leadership of NNPC and FIRS.

10. Sack the current minister of economy and finance.

11. Immediately invite the companies responsible for TAM of our refineries to fix within 90days or refund all payments made so far.
Why not wait for the report of the committee before you begin to sack? We should at least wait for them to be found culpable/guilty before you begin to dish out punishment na. Anyway, it is natural for new governments to appoint new team of ministers and other officials for sensitive offices that are critical to the success of their administration.

SportsRe: Jonathan’s defeat deflates Keshi by morningsta(m): 10:02am On Apr 04, 2015
Obviously Keshi is no longer interested in coaching the Eagles anymore but has held on just in case he does not get another contract elsewhere. In a nut shell, he has been holding us to ransom but thank God those days will soon be over. I personally recommended outright sack for him as his heart is no longer with us.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Reasons Why You Don't Need To Die For Any Politician Before, During And After El by morningsta(m): 5:32pm On Mar 21, 2015
Well said, but this would not change the fact that some people will still die as a result of violence on account of the forthcoming elections. I pray none of us or our loved ones will meet untimely death before, during and after the elections in Jesus's mighty name. Amen.

Nairaland GeneralRe: How Long Are We Going To Be Slaves To DSTV? By Ecetera by morningsta(m): 11:05am On Mar 16, 2015
@Op, why do you even bother? Several people have cried and complained to relevant authorities without any result. Dstv has all the people that matter in their pockets. Why do you think the House of Reps quickly discarded Dstv matter the first time it was discussed on the floor?

Don't be surprised this post may not smell front page as valid as your concerns are.
As for me, I have resorted to patronizing Alaba boys as soon as my current subscription expires.

@Op, given the current exchange rate (Naira to dollar), now may not be a good time to save your money in dollar. Supposing you buy dollar now and naira begins to gain value against the dollar, then you begin to make losses.

TravelRe: NIS Discovers 144 Illegal Border Entry Points Into Nigeria by morningsta(m): 9:08am On Dec 14, 2014
darqly:
Does it really matter where the points are? The irony is that Seme border where the country loses massive custom duty income due to smuggling isn't in the north, is it? We have to outgrow this closed mind mentality of region, religion and tribe to progress.
Yes, in this case it does matter that most of the entry points are in the north because right now Nigeria is battling to contain the Boko Haram onslaught against ordinary citizens. We all know that their entry points in and out of this country is in the north. That is not to say I dispute your claims that economic losses are being recorded at Seme border in the s/west. If you however consider the loss of lives and properties, the destruction of public infrastructure and the impact of boko haram activities on foreign direct investment, then you are likely to agree with me that more losses are being recorded in the northern illegal entry points than the Seme border and urgent action need to be taken to block all the illegal routesin the north asap.
