Hello Nairalanders, I need help from experienced car users. Can good tyres become bad because they were unused for like a year? They tyres were bought in brand new condition. The car was parked for a year with the tyres on it.
Mode, kindly move to front page as this thread could save lives this festive season. |

Toks2008: You guys still don't get it.
The big question is why have we not put the refineries into work all these years?
Imagine the ijebus bringing cassava to Lagos to process to ijebu garri and now take it back to ijebu land to sell at increase prices with the excuse that the facilities to process cassava to garri in ijebu land is faulty.
Cant you see that we have been taken for fools all these years?
these guys steal our crude oil through exporting and this is why they refused to repair as well as create more refineries yet they still suffer the citizens to pay for their own greed, lapses and mediocrity.
Is this fair? So what solutions do you have in mind since you don't support the removal of oil subsidy? Mind you government has proven again and again to be unable to curb corruption in the oil industry. |

eligibility: Its very unfortunate that you are not a typical African to have insulted OBJ with such a derogative statement. Lets respect elders even if we youth has grievances against them. OBJ deserves whatever insults he gets here and even more. I am shocked that OBJ without any sense of shame would even contemplate passing judgment on GEJ's performance when his own 8 years in power did not witness any infrastructural development |

Keneking: With this statement, I can safely assert that Jonathan is going next year.
Chief Obasanjo has spoken well again. I beg to differ. Those who live in glass houses don't throw stones. OBJ of all people should know that he is not in a position to make judgement on the achievement of GEJ's government. By the way what was his own achievement after 2 terms in office? I believe GEJ achieved even more in 4 years compared to the 8years of OBJ. OBJ please shut up already. |

bushdoc9919: Was expected
Thing is, we are wasting money on a bottomless pit called Fuel subsidy. It has been subject to a lot of abuse and stealing.
I guess the money saved can now be used for Power, Railways, and education as well as health.
Well Nigerians.....looks like the era of cheap fuel is over. And this is one PDP policy that I won't be criticizing......because, unfortunately, it is the right thing to do.
Modified at 7.58: We must spend the saved money from the removal of fuel subsidy on improving power....so that we can no longer be dependent on oil....and instead...be doing industrial development, industrial development!
And no longer have a dutch diseased economy....the true problem of Nigeria.. Removal of the oil subsidy remains the only valid option for us without any doubt. My concern however is that whatever is saved from removal of oil subsidy is very likely to end up in some private pockets or accounts. I am in full support of the removal but only after our local refineries are fully operational at 100%. Many Nigerians can't afford oil at dollar rate especially with the naira loosing value on a daily basis. |

ikaboy: "make una de use una head here na". Is Rochas the President? Or do you think he would have declared if such carnage had taken place in his state or even anywhere in the south east? GEJ is the Chief Commander. I had wanted to overlook this response as one of the many s.t.u.pid responses we are used to reading on NL, but ... So in your narrow mind, Rochas who is seeking to become the president of Nigeria should not be held to such high standard? |

jauntty: Cataracts is not usually heredity. I would like to know if she is diabetic cus that also result in blur vision. Although blur vision from diabetes tends to change depending on the level of d blood sugar Yes, she is diabetic as well. So lowering the level of her blood sugar can possibly take care of the blurred vision? Thanks for your help. I have gained a lot of enlightenment here. |
Health › Re: Ask The Eye Doctor Any Problem Concerning The Eyes by morningsta(m): 1:55pm On Oct 25, 2014 |
jauntty: @70 cataract is common and its not surprising. Its actually the lens in the eye that dev opacity. The management is simple : if the cataract is mature, then she should go for cataract extraction. Usually its done one eye at a time. If it is not mature, then the doctor might try some optical corrections to determine if there will be any improvements in her vision and comfort until the extraction. NOTE : Be careful not to allow anyone deceive u into buying cataract drugs such as catalins n catarest with the claim that it will clear the cataracts. Although they might help a little especially @ the early stage of cataracts BUT they do not cure or clear cataracts completely esp when dealing with mature cataract. Save ur money and do the cataract extraction.(The doctor will have to first assess the integrity of her ocular system especially the Retina to make sure that it is healthy b4 doing the surgery). Dr. Thank you. What medication do you suggest we give to relieve the pain and improve vision? Is it by any chance hereditary? Thanks |

Hello Dr. Please help. My mom is about 70 years old. She complains that her eyes itches a lot and tend to water. The water does not come out, rather it forms a kind of cloud in her eyes that clouds her vision making her vision blurred. One Dr said it is eye cataract. How do we treat this please. |

hungryboy: DISCLAIMER i'm not trying to discourage u from going into this particular business, am just trying to show u the hazards involved in this business, As a businessman,i always focus more on the risks involved rather than the profits in a particular venture, before i throw my cash into it, so as to mitigate against future stories that touch. Well, while it is ok to pay attention to the risks that can possibly run down your business, it is not too wise to focus too much on the risk as there is no business without risk/s. Rather, proactively take measures to mitigate against possible losses or risks. |
