Education / Re: Beautiful Lady Who Graduated With Third Class Shares Her Touching Story (Photos) by mosbiod(m): 3:35am On Apr 08, 2017
I am not saying a third Class graduate won't make it in Life bro, I am familiar with the western culture as I am a postgraduate student in one of the top world universities currently, She graduated with a third class because she never tried to catch up, she was tired of trying, I wish her the best actually and that is why i made the statement in the last paragraph of my comment, She can always get back up again and soar. Again, I am only against why she stopped trying to move up higher from that grade, not against third class graduates..
Taryur3:

Am not saying third class is a good grade but if you believing you have hope of making it in life more than third class graduates, you are kicking your ass by yourself...let me tell you, in the western world, nobody cares with what you graduated with...once you are done with the courses and the university awarded you with the certificate....my brother, you can apply for any job and and compete for anything within your field of interest....the problems with Nigeria is the little jobs available are for millions applicants...you have to wake up from that sleep now.

Please I am still looking for where the story is touching.. I can only see a lady whose brain is probably been made up with Mary Kay.. You got a blow in 200level and you settled for it??.. You could at least finished with 2:2 if you tried... you didn't give it a try.
I wonder what you would have graduated with if you studied the same course in OAU or Biochemistry in my school..

The world will knock you down several times, get back up again and don't let those coming behind you trample on you while you are lying down flat, at least crawl if you cannot limp anymore...

I did not do Renewable Energy questions, and if you have been writing English Aptitude Test for Jobs, you should be fine just go revise accordingly...
Advice: IF you have been studying materials on Renewable Energy for the test, believe God and go do your Test. On the day of Exam some people who did before you will be like they can tell you all the questions they did for their own subject, don't fall into the trap because you probably have no idea of the course but you want to do it because of free questions. Stick to you and believe in yourself. This happened to me last year on the day of the exam, but i went for my course!

Thank you again for your time to share light on this topic...we appreciate.

However, can I get material on Renewable Energy or other related fields you used to this mail emmanuel.ojediran@yahoo.com

hahahhah grin This country is a joke...
Someone asked me how did we get here??
I said Nigeria is a place where we pray more than we take actions.. we pray to God daily to guide our leaders right and deliver us from the thieves among them, yet we never take actions to chase these people ourselves.. the more we pray for them, they more they flourish in our wealth.. by the time they are done pushing us over the wall, we will do the right thing.. maybe by then many Nigerians will be living on top Lagos Lagoon..SMH. undecided undecided

Sent... you don't need Newcastle University's lecture notes or materials for your PTDF exam.
Your homework and courseworks are meant to test your resilient and research skills it will help and improve your mental skills.. always do them yourself without looking for a template. I don't encourage that! my 2 cent**

This strategy might not work for everybody, but it worked for me. I already know what course and which school I want to apply to before the advert of the scholarship. in fact I've been following up since 2014 for 2016 scholarship. I simply went to the departmental website of the school I want to apply to. e.g. Pipeline Engineering department Newcastle University.  I looked at the modules they will be teaching on that Msc program and I downloaded at least 2 different textbooks for each Module. you can download textbook www.bookfi.net Gogle can be highly useful also. that's where I got my Materials.  You don't need to download heavy textbook, just download or search for something like "Handbook of Offshore Engineering" or "Rule of Thumb for Petroleum Processing Engineer" I did this for all the modules and I read wide those textbooks, not too wide cos it's boring reading randomly, but I had to do my best. I also joined a WhatsApp group which was of tremendous help to me. A group of scholars of the same pursuit and target, you can form yours or find one. I went for the exam and to God's glory over 80% of the course related questions were something I've read before and since it was multiple choice, it was easier for me to locate the answers and I knew deep down that I have done well. But nevertheless not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that showeth mercy. I intensified my prayers and I intensified my service in the church. Sowed seeds and fasted like never before and yes I made it. God did it. it's only God  that did it.. not the strategy but you gotta do your part and let God intervene. just like I said you can always find another means to get this done, but this was my style and it worked. so try this or locate your style but the one I know that works for everybody is prayer either you're Muslim or Christian.. just pray and work... It's a lifetime opportunity that will probably change your destiny and in fact the destiny of your father's house. I am currently an MSC student of Pipeline Engineering in University of Newcastle courtesy of PTDF. All the best in your pursuit.

cc: lalasticlala this might help a lot of candidates.

Hello Everyone,

How does one check/preview IELTS Life Skills A1 Test result? I did one on the 14th of July, 2016 but their website: https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/CheckResults.aspx does not recognise my details. Meanwhile, i have used this same link in the past to preview my IETLS General Test and it went well.

I suspect there is a disconnect somewhere. I have called their useless telephone line several times with no headway.

I hope someone here can point me in the right direction.
I wrote the UKVI test on the 14th of July also but the link is saying "no result found".. I think we need to go to the nearest British Council office to get the TRF

Hi y'all, I didn't put any address of any organization where I want my results to go while registering for the IELTS, now I need to send my results to a school in th UK urgently as I await my results on Thursday. Please how do I go about it without paying British Council to send my results to the School? I learned they can send result to five different organization for free. Please it's very urgent!
