Pls never you allow then to top your gas for you,is either you let them check were the gas is leaking from, but if you can't have the patients for them to check, always Make sure they drain the formal gas in the system before refilling another 1.
Reason is they are different kind of gas in the market now some are mixed gas they aren't pure gas, some will just deceive us by writing the same organic name on the body, but do you no the kind of gas inside it,some are mixed with 22 gas, that is what use to damage our compressors, bcuz different chemical reactions are busy fighting each other inside your car before you know it,the entire system will be black and your compressor will knock up.

They don't need to loose out your evaporator before they know is leaking,@mosbus cool we have tools to run leakage test, because some car requires you to loose out dashboard, but for us we don't go through that stress before we confirm that your evaporator is leaking.

Ashiru:
I am at it again! The last time I had issue with my Toyota Camry 2008 XLE, their are different opinion of what really happen to the A/C, whether I should change the compressor to manual or maintain the follow come. After much deliberation, I finally replaced the compressor with the automatics compressor which i ordered from abroad. Now, after a year plus, the automatics compressor is bad again. My mechanics is advising me to change it to manual, but I am not too convinced with his opinion, Pls I need advice from the house from anyone with such experience. Its really hot hear in PH and honestly it been difficult driving the without AC. Thanks
Pls I will advice you not to change it to manual, maintain the automatic compressor, just make sure they use the right oil and gas,if possible look for a good technician that has vacuum machine, the manual compressor will cause more load to your engine, and your fuel consumption will increase bcuz it isn't designed for your car.
If you need more advice pls fill free to contact me 08026941215,am an auto air conditioning specialist in Lagos, pls and make sure they flush your condenser and change your condenser filter which is the drier, before replacing another 1 bcus the other thing that can damage the compressor is blockage,

earthrealm:
the technician did either or both things listed below

1. he didnt vacuum the whole system after installing the new evaporator, thus the refrigrant is compromised..and has mixed with air and water vapour...this will eventually rust tru the evaporator again...and develop a leak

2. he didnt fill the car to factory spec, most cars take btw 500 to 850g of refrigrant, and takes upto 45mins following standard refilling procedure...most mechanics do 10 to 15mins max...there end up putting 100 to 200g only.
they dont wanna buy the right tools/nor try to understand the whole ac principle.......with the present tools they have and mindset...i still would not advice you to insist they do more than 30mins to refill

3. probablly added too much oil o the refrigrant

conclusion: search out a qualified ac technician, or better still study up on ac refill technology, it aint rocket science.
my car ac grief ended , the day i opened my mind and researched...i do all ac work on my car by myself, and have bought almost all the tools required
your right, well for the filling quantity every car has a label sticker on the bonnet you will see the filling quantity and the type of gas and oil.
2.you do not need to spend up to 10 min when refilling the gas, bcus if you take your time to vacuum properly,by standard you vacuum for 30min,and if you have a recycling machine you will refill less than 2min,
3,if you cant find the sticker on the bonnet, you can download a software on your phone.that software contain the quantity of gas and oil and there types.
here are my equipment below.you can also give me a call when you have any issue concerning auto air conditioning 08026941215,i also work on hybrid cars

WHEN TO REPLACE YOUR CABIN AIR FILTER
The cabin air filter is a feature found on most 2000 model vehicles, cleans the air that comes into the interior through the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system. It catches dust, pollen and other airborne material that can make riding in a car unpleasant, particularly if you have allergies or other respiratory problems.
Manufacturer recommend every 12,000 or 15,000 miles, others longer — and how often can depend on how much you drive and area where there is lot of dust.
Some signs that you need a new cabin air filter are reduced air flow through your climate control system, such as when you crank up the fan too high and get more noise than results. Another is persistent bad odors. Even if you don't have these warnings, you should have the filter checked at least every 3 month, and you may be able to do that yourself.
Depending on how long the filter has been in service, you might be shocked at what you see: leaves, twigs, insects, soot and grime that literally cover the entire surface that comes in contact with incoming air and also your evaporator coil, before you know it the leaves and insect will stick on your evaporator coil after some while the coil will be weak then it will start leaking.

Car TalkReason Why Is Important To Vacuum A System Before Refilling Of Gas by mosbus(op): 2:59pm On Jan 20, 2017
Before you refill gas into the air conditioning system. It is important to vacuum the system to remove any air or moisture that can cause harm to the system, and also reduce the amount of gas quantity the system will take.
By definition AIR occupy space.
Air in the system reduce the cooling performance of the air condition and also allows the pipe to freeze up.
Then the ice produce will dissolve and produce condense water.
Condense water practically corrode the AC system e.g EVAPORATOR.
The evaporator is where the ice is been form and before you know,it will start leaking.
Always make sure that your A/C system is vacuum before refilling of gas.

Car TalkThread For Hybrid Cars Air Conditioning by mosbus(op): 2:43pm On Jan 19, 2017
Automotive air conditioning compressors require specific types of lubricants. Most 1996 and newer A/C systems use R134a refrigerant and require some type of PAG (polyalkylene glycol) oil for the compressor. If the wrong type of compressor oil or the wrong viscosity compressor oil is used, it may damage the compressor. In fact, the main reason for a newly installed A/C compressor to fail is using the wrong type of compressor oil.CAUTION: PAG oils should NEVER be used in hybrid vehicles because it is electrically conductive. POE (polyol ester) oil is usually specified for hybrid cars that have electrically-driven A/C compressors because it is non-conductive. Using the wrong oil may allow current to short circuit back through the A/C compressor, creating a shock hazard.always make sure you use ND 11 for your hybrid cars or synthetic polyol ester refrigerant lubricant.

The Importance of Car Air-Conditioner Maintenance
by mosbus cool
If your car has an air conditioner, and it most likely does, then it is important to get routine maintenance done on it. Many people don’t think much about their car air conditioner until they need it and it’s not performing correctly. But the best way to keep it performing at its best is to get routine maintenance done as needed.

Routine maintenance is important for every car air conditioner for several reasons, including:

• Keeping it cool. There are a number of problems that can lead to an air conditioner not working as well as it should. Before it becomes a problem these issues can usually be addressed through routine maintenance. That way you never miss a beat in the heat.
• Keeping it clean. When you have a clean air conditioning unit you will help to keep it in good running order. Routine maintenance will keep the hoses and belt clean and running as they should.
• Keeping it from getting worse. Routine maintenance on your car air conditioner will help us catch problems right away, rather than them compounding and getting worse. The sooner you can catch and fix a problem, the better off you will be in the long run.
• Keeping up the value. You paid additional money to have an air conditioner in your vehicle. The good news is that it will help keep the value of your car up if you take care of it. Once you go to sell the vehicle it is a plus if you can demonstrate that you have had routine maintenance performed, including having it done on the car air conditioner.
• Keeping you comfortable. One of the best reasons to keep up on air conditioning maintenance is so that you can actually enjoy the cool air. Being able to beat the heat on a hot summer day is worth the little bit of effort it takes to keep your car’s air conditioner maintained.

The good news is that routine maintenance and inspections on your car’s air conditioner is as simple as giving the Keepin’ Cool Auto Air-Conditioning Specialist a call. We are fully equipped professional. We can take care of all your air conditioning needs while you work or do other things.we will be glad to help keep your car air conditioning maintained and pleasantly cool!

BEST HYBRID CAR
The VW Passat GTE really is the sort of hybrid you could use every day without having to make any compromises. It can travel around 500 miles on a single tank of fuel, and with 31 miles of pure electric range on a full charge, the GTE could potentially cover the majority of journeys without without using a single drop of fuel.

In addition, the interior quality is every bit as good as on other Passats, there’s enough room for five adults to sit in comfort, and our preferred version, the estate, has a boot that’ll take all but the largest loads.

Vehicle Air Conditioning Maintenance Tips
How to ensure a long, trouble-free operation of your car’s air conditioning system
Maintaining your air conditioning system means that you always have enough refrigerant to properly do the job.
Small leaks in the vehicle’s air conditioning system allow the refrigerant to escape and the system can’t cool the air as well.
Keeping Cool recommends that you regularly check your vehicles air conditioner system.
The obvious faults which are associated with an Air Conditioning systems breaking down are;
The drive belt tension
Blocked air flow through the Condenser and Radiator
Visible signs of Refrigerant oil stain at the compressor, hoses, pipes or fittings.
Loose or faulty compressor mounting brackets
Service port caps missing
Anything beyond this visual inspection then requires a full Air Conditioning Service. Only a fully qualified air conditioning technician can carry out this service. Keeping Cool is a certified air conditioning repairer and can carry out all necessary repairs to get your air vehicles conditioner working to its optima performance Check out dara autotech/mosbus cool ENTERPRISES.
Tips For Maintaining A Car Air Conditioner
Running the air conditioner once a week for 10 minutes will maintain the gas pressure. This prevents hardening of the hoses and compressor seals failure. Turn the air conditioner to its coolest setting and highest fan speed. Run the ‘defrost’ mode for five to ten minutes to clean out accumulated moisture. This prevents mildew and prevents that dirty wet cloth odor in the system.
Remember your air conditioning system does not only cool your vehicle but in addition one of its primary functions is to remove the humidity from the cabin. So it is good practice to use your air conditioner in winter to keep your windscreen free of fog which impairs your visibility.
By allowing all car windows to remain closed, even on the hottest days, the aerodynamics of the car remain at optimum, keeping fuel consumption low and exterior noise to a minimum, increasing safety to the driver and passengers.
You may not be aware that over 10% of air-con gas permeates from the air-con system every year, which means that it may not work as well as it should. This is why car manufacturers recommend your Air-Con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years.
It is good practice to get a full air conditioning service at least every two years. Try and do this before the hotter month’s start, as this will ensure that you are not caught out by a sudden heat wave at the start of the season.
This will enable you to keep ahead of any system faults or potential compressor failure.
A poorly maintained system operating on a low amount of oil and gas will reduce your compressors capacity to run efficiently costing you extra in fuel.
Maintaining A Healthy State For Your Car Air-Conditioning
A car air-conditioning system can be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and fungus. This is particularly important for sufferers of asthma or allergies.
At Keeping Cool we have the latest Ozone machine to carry out this service we can treat the cooling evaporator also the cabin air filter and entire car interior, killing all the bugs and leaving your car air conditioning smelling sweetly.
This treatment is designed to protect you and your passengers and also help to remove the musty odor that can be evident from the air conditioner vents. For more information call;dara autotech/mosbus cool,08026941215,08037586148 or 08032089850
