Just solved a Toyota Corolla 2009 air conditioning with the help of a Toyota scanning tools called techstream.
Pls be careful with technicians you give your cars to repair.
The airconditioning pipes was freezing up,firstly I thought it was excess of air in the system,but my digital manifold guage was given me a good reading so I had to put in my techstream just to be sure the electrical system is ok.
I scanned the car and it was complaining of the evaporator thermistor which every one of us know as the thermostat.
I checked to my greatest surprise they have bridged the thermostat.

Just changed a Ford Edge 2008 air conditioning evaporator,it was damaged due to lack of cleaning the cabin filter and pls when ever you change any air conditioning parts in your car make sure they vacuum the system before refilling.

Finally I survived the issue of and ES 350 2008 it has electrical issue with the air conditioning,pls be careful with road side technician they almost damaged the brain box,but with the help of all data I scaled through.
I had to read all the wiring system from the fuse bus to the air conditioning amplifier.
Pls don't allow any road side technician to by pass any wiring connection with any reason.

you sure i need you help on this this first time i refill my gas it was chilling very well but recently i see that the ac not chilling like before again and when it was filled it was filled with that cynlinder type for house air conditioner type dey use can that cause it

Pls confirm if the rear fan is blowing ,if yes the evaporator expansion valve is blocked,and if the gas isn't enough it won't get cold until you have the right amount of gas in the system.
Look for a good air conditioning technician make sure he uses manifold gauge to check the system.

I am not an expert but something similar happened to mine, the problem is a faulty thermistor and what happens is that the compressor keeps running Without shutting off, hence it causes freezing on the Ac lines, which then causes a blockage and prevents cold air from going in. After you turn it off, the ice melts and cold air starts to bkow. It was a tough diagnosis cos evertime the Ac technician checked, he said there was nothing wrong with it cos honestly, it takes a while for it to happen, until the day it happened again, I parked, popped up my bonnet and realised there was ice block all over my ac lines, despite the hot engine. Any way. Use the Ac again, once it stops to cool, open your bonnet and look at the Ac lines up to the point where it enters the cabin. If you see ice on it, then it means it's the same issue, only then can j give you my solution

you are right,the evaporator will be iced up,because the more you drive faster the capacity of the compressor will increase,you need to take it to a good work shop that has scanning machine,so has to prevent the compressor from getting damaged because if this same fault persist the compressor valve plate will get damaged.

where is your location.if you are around Lagos go to asmanda in trade fair you will get any type of compressor lubricants you need.

Your car ac can last you for years,pending if there is no leakage.
But by standard even if there's no leakage you need to change your gas every 3 years reason is the strength of the gas will be weak bcuz it has changed so many stages.
Pls don't learn that practice of toping gas,the best to do is drain off all the gas and refill

Refill without starting the car it will take some quantity of gas after then start the car and refill it to the right quantity required
