So what is d diff with Shiite!!! Am not talking of Saudi, they the sunni's dnt just like the Shiite!!! They dnt v same blive but they are all Muslims. So the sunni's call dem sef the true Muslims and Shiite infidels and should be killed, just like the Jews and Christians. Hope u get the conspiracy theory!!!
Nice explanation.
I can't counter your points because I live down South.
But for the case of the Fulani herdsmen, they're known murderers, often genocidal murderers.
But thanks anyway.

MrCEO69:
so the fulani herds men aren't a threat to the nation! When v u heard that the Shiite did smth against the law, like killing sm1. This is mere conspiracy.
Conspiracy to do what?
To exterminate the little Shiite population in Nigeria?
Probably masterminded by the Saudis?

I'm yet to grab the conspiracy theory here.

Well, you can hardly blame them.

All the same, how are you Sir?

Thank God! The International dimension of this crisis is beyond our immediate resolution because known international supporter of Nigeria were showing stand-offish aloofness to the crisis. Its a welcome development.
Nigeria is a sovereign state, and not held to the dictates of other states. Most definitely not a rogue state like Iran.
In this kind of situation, mediation is the best recourse to conflict resolution, NOT THREATS.

Going by that, however, even if he is not released (personally, I don't think he should be released. the dude's a danger to national security), Iran can do nothing.
The diplomatic standoff with the Saudis and the latest revelation on their flouting of the nuclear deal should keep them preoccupied.
El-Zakzaky is just one out of a thousand Shiite scholars.

God bless Naija-Area.

Shall we then say that he got what he deserves?
seems more like a capital YES to me
Kanu needs to learn secessionist art from countries like Catalonia, Scotland et al.

You cannot engage the state with acts worth classification for treasons, and want to be seen as a hero.

Biafra might come.
But woe betides any Biafra that is born on Nnamdi Kanu's twisted and warped nationalist ideology.

Foreign AffairsRe: BREAKING: Saudi Arabia Cuts Diplomatic Ties With iran by MosquitoLaps(m): 11:51am On Jan 05, 2016
Appleyard:
Yeah! There is a saying that when two elephants are slugging it out, it is the innocent grass that suffers. I have said before now that the MidEast is a time bomb waiting to explode, and this work-in-progress tit for tat spat between Satan Arabia and Iran, might just turn out to be the last count on the bomb.

I see blood bank in the God forsaken and Satan rejected MidEast!

Why? We are talking of a confrontation that could spiral out of control because of the calibre of nations involved. These are the two most powerful states in the Gulf, and each pride themselves as the fountain and defender of their respective islamic sects - with Iran as the pride of Shiite muslims, while the kingdom of Satan Arabia represent the keeper of sunni islam. To say that things could get worse, is an under statement. Infact, they are already getting worse and hotter. From Syria to Yemen, Lebanon and Bahrain, the proxy war between these two children of chaos, is taken its toll in the whole region. And with this current stand off, one can expect more secterian violence in the aforementioned countries, as well as in Africa, increase ops in Syria etc, all of which could easily result in direct military show down between this two hot headed sons of islam, which would in turn have devastating consequencies for the global economy, particular with the EU, as more and more refugees would flood centre Europe, a place already suffocating from Syrian and North Africa migrant influx. Such a conflict could also lead to the much feared WW3, especially if major powers like the United States of Atrocities (having Iran in mind) and Russia (having the house of Saud in mind,) both get involved, even from behind closed doors, It can still easily get blown into a full confrontation, and we all know what that would mean to the world.

Nevertheless, a war between two major oil producers would send shock waves through the global economy, especially when it is still fighting its way up from the last recession, while struggling not to fall back the ladder. But such a war could also be a blessing to some nations - particularly those that relies on oil as a major source of national income, vis the current price of crude in the international market. Infact, i can see some countries eyes already burgeing out of their sockets with greed, and with tongues salivating with bathed breath and expectation to have a 2nd taste of excess crude account, as global prices would definitly go up in rapture to meet their lord of host - Nigeria, Russia, Angola, Brazil, Venezuella, Qatar, Gabon, and many more. I wont be surprised if any of such nations engaged in activities that could further exercabate the ungoing feud between the two sects. And given the proximity of islamic fundamentalism in relation to its followers fanaticism based on sectarian ideology, you can bet your last dime that such a trap and psyOP would easily work, not to mention that the region is already a hotbed of hostilities. Though it will all depend on what the ''elites'' who runs the show and own the multi-nationals want.

Some nations will always remain a catalyst to the success or downfall of others as played and determine by the dark knights in the shadow.

Yeah! What is another man's meat, would always be another man's poison.

Man is in deed, an animal.
Thank you Sir.

EducationRe: NISDEBATE: Strike: A Wrong Approach To Nigeria's Educational Problems. by MosquitoLaps(m): 4:11pm On Dec 28, 2015
TOPIC: STRIKE: A WRONG APPROACH TO
NIGERIA'S EDUCATIONAL PROBLEMS.

The Nigerian education system has, over the years, been bedevilled by lot of problems.
From cultism on campuses, failed educational policies by unstable political leaders, to never-ending strike actions taken by one set of the most important players in the sector--The teachers, tutors and lecturers, the educational sector has truly seen troubled times. Industrial action (or strike, as it is popularly known) seems to be our major headache.

If you will indulge me, I will introduce myself.
I, MosquitoLaps, am 200 level student of the Department of International Studies And Diplomacy, from the great University of Benin.

Judges, co-debaters and moderators, you'd agree with me that the way the Nigerian education sector is structured today, strike is inevitable.

This is due to the fact governments in power over the years, have failed to see the importance of education to national development. Their actions have shown it.
Payment of salaries are being delayed, and most times, teachers and lecturers go seven months without pay!
The governments at various levels have paid lip service to education.
During elections, we see promises about a revamp in the sector, but after election, everything goes back to normal.

You'd also agree with me that without government's insincerity and inconsistency in dealing with major stakeholders in the sector, there would have been no need for radical unions like the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and their counterparts in Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

Look at the 2013 ASUU strike as case study.
The federal government and ASUU reached an agreement in 2009, where the government will overhaul failing infrastructures in higher institutions of learning, increase salaries of lecturers and make learning conducive for all the stakeholders.
After signing the MoU, for five years, the government refused to implement their part of the agreement!
It is a well known fact education is the bedrock of national development.
And for a government that is sincere in safeguarding national interests and development, education will be at the top of their priority.
The Nigerian government has shown repeatedly that the only language they understand, is not dialogue, but industrial action.

Furthermore, most sectors of national and economic development has come to the realization that to get what you truly feel is right, is to grind your sector to a halt by engaging in industrial action. This way, the government will take you serious.
This seems to be the norm, instead of the exception.

A United Nations directive on education which directs member states to make education the top of their budget annually has been flouted constantly by succeeding Federal governments.
(UN resolution 2914/education act 2011)

For a government whose major preoccupations are to divert public funds into personal accounts and how to win the next election, national development can never be their priority..

Finally, as a case study, look at South Korea and Singapore.
These countries knew the importance of education to national development, and their governments invested so much in it, by formulating sound educational policies that serves and cures national defects.
Today, these countries stand out as just two countries out of the "Asian Tiger" league that has taken the tech industry by storm.

As I bring my argument to a close, distinguished judges, moderators and facilitators, I have this to say, until the Federal government of Nigeria starts taking education serious, strike action will continue, and so far, it has worked for ASUU, SSANU, NUT et al. The government has institutionalized industrial action as a means to getting them to listen to common sense.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria
