TravelRe: Giving Birth In Canada by Mossaino(m): 5:27pm On Sep 02, 2025
@leksite120 Thanks for sharing the information about your wife's experience regarding birthing in Canada. Please, we are preparing for something similar in Toronto this winter and I will appreciate any useful information especially as it relates to the contact with Charity Organization and getting a Doctors appointment. My email is mosesasa1@gmail.com. Thanks

leksite120:
I don't know there was a thread like this.

Well, I would like to share my little story. However, I am not sure it will apply to most people here since you will be coming from Nigeria to just solely give birth, but you can gain one or two from my experience.

My wife and I entered Canada this year as a student while my wife is on spousal open work permit.
She was 8months pregnant when we entered. You might be surprised. Firstly, the bump was not big, it looked like a 5-6months bump and we were able to maneuver the airport wahala.
Though, our intention initially was not to give birth in canada but in Nigeria. However, there was a twist.

The twist was that I was supposed to resume school by September but there was a PGWP policy which will affect me after study cos my school is listed among those the policy would affect. So, I reached out to the school and they gave me an option of resuming earlier which was May intake.

Naturally, birthing and anything medical is free for canadian residents that are working and paying taxes but we were not working then hence, we were not eligible and was treated like a visitor who is not entitled to OHIP which is the ontario health card.

When we arrived, we were on the race and pressure of birthing. We reached out to midwives, but they were all booked. People always book midwives in Canada like 5months before due date.

Note: Midwives services are free for anybody whether citizen or non-citizen or even temporary residents. Midwives are free for anyone of any status in Canada ( that shows how intentional canada is in giving free healthcare) and their services are excellent too. The only problem is that you can't access them immediately, you have to inform them like months before the due date. Infact people normally book them immediately after conception.

Initially, we planned on using my student health insurance for my wife to give birth but it didn't work out cos the conception was from outside canada.

We tried to contact several doctors to at least get a manageable fee to pay, we couldn't. We tried almost all Midwives and Doulas in Toronto.
After all search, we got hold of an organisation, they are more like charity organisation that works with some midwives and they assisted us by getting us a doctor for our antenatal and they also took care of like 90% of our hospital bills and even 2 weeks post natal. We paid just $650 for all these, it was honestly a huge relief as against the almost $10,000 we would have paid.

Our baby now has her own health card for free with no stress right from the day she was born.
But remember, this is something we would have normally been entitled to for free if we have been working and paying taxes.
And I must confess, canadian healthcare is just top notch and they treated us like a human being compared to how Nigeria healthcare treats one, its just horrible.

The only problem they have is their waiting time which doesn't really matter to me cos if there's any emergency (emergency is not until you break your leg or have accident o), you'll be attended to. To me, apart from emergency, I don't think there's any serious reason why one should be bothered about the waiting time.

Will it be a sin if two partners have sex after their introduction to family ceremony??
Although the couples have set their marriage till next year after just having their introduction last month?
My brother, please note that introduction is statement or declaration of intent to marry but it is not marriage itself. From Biblical point of view, sex is for those who are legally married. It is only the marriage bed that is undefiled... Adulterers and whoremongers will be judged. (Heb 13:4)

RomanceRe: Are You Still A Virgin? by Mossaino(m): 12:13pm On Mar 28, 2016
Hmmn! Though the question may not be necessary unless the guy is seriously considering marriage, it still goes to say that if a lady is truly a virgin she won't find it hard to answer the question... So you see it shows that virginity is a virtue worth associating with, so young ladies keep yourself and earn the respect that comes with it. Happy Easter!

Hi guys, recently I have been feeling like the world's ugliest woman. Whenever I go out, people stare at me; some even stop to stare and I am beginning to feel like it's because of my bad looks.

So I have a question, am I the world's most ugly woman?
I think you look good and attractive but beyond the facial looks which is ephemeral, do you have the inner beauty of a quiet spirit and a loving heart? because that's what counts the most... be good
FamilyRe: She Slept With Her Husband’s Friend, Now He Is Blackmailing Her by Mossaino(m): 12:23pm On Jan 13, 2016
donogaga:
I’m 28 years old and been married for 2 years with no kid.

My husband best friend who has been away for years came to Nigeria on the 3rd of this month for a project and I don’t know why but he was so caring and always complimented me even when my husband failed to notice my new hair or look. He had this beautiful girlfriend who always came to see him

On my birthday which was the 12th ,my husband traveled to England for what he called an urgent business deal leaving his friend and I. I didn’t plan on celebrating it but he forced me to go out to dinner. He said his girlfriend was going to be there. We went to the venue and he started telling me about their escapades in the University .

I was cool with it till he said my husband had a girl he wanted to marry but he couldn’t because she was Igbo. My hubby and I are yoruba. When I asked where she is now, he said she lives in London and has remained single since then.

I was heartbroken because I know my husband has been visiting the UK a lot and he never told me about her. He said I was his first love. I believed because we got married 8 months after we met.

I didn’t know when I started crying and we went home. I don’t know what happened but we slept together and it was after it was over I realized I made a big mistake and confronted him.

He laughed and said it was ok and told me it was a mistake and he would never ever tell anyone. My husband came back 4 days ago and I just couldn’t confront him and ask about his first love since I know what I did with his friend.

I was starting to push my fling to the back of my mind last week my hubby’s friend asked to borrow some money from me. I told him I didn’t have the money he was asking for which was 500k. He said it wasn’t a loan, he said it’s either I give him or he tells my husband what we did. He said I didn’t deserve his friend anyway and called me cheap.

I’m confused and can’t tell any of my friends because I don’t trust them. I also don’t know if to confess to my husband first before he blackmails me. Knowing my husband, it will be over and since I don’t have a kid, there is nothing tying him to me. Also I am not from a rich home though my husband spoils me a lot. Should I just pay his friend or tell my husband first? Please don’t judge me.

http://www.tellyouall.com/she-slept-with-her-husbands-friend-now-he-is-blackmailing-her/
Please, confess your sins to God first and prayerfully tell your hubby you are sorry about what you did. You may wish to engage the counsel of your pastor accordingly. If you pay the money to your hubby's friend today, what makes you think he wont come back demanding another thing. You have made a mistake already, don't get blackmailed into losing more before everything falls apart because that will be too much of a disaster. May God help you.

Julietcutie:
Imagine your mum left your dad
when you were just 8
months old because He had no
money. Your dad
remarried a lady because He
needed someone who will
take care of you. So when u grew
up, due to the
financial state of the house, your
step mum sold her
wrappers so that she could
sponsor your
education.And luckily you
graduated as a medical
doctor, owned ur hospital.One
day due to your good
treatments, your hospital have
been crowded with
patients, all the sick bed has been
occupied by people,
leaving only a single bed. And an
emergency occurred
due to an accident which your
real mum and ur step
mum was involved and both was
brought to ur
hospital. who will u admit ? Your
biological mum / Or
your step mum.??(The situation
permits you to choose
just one.).
Hmmn! This is indeed a very difficult situation... Though there is a saying that "blood is thicker than water" but also there is also another saying that "Can a Mother forget her sucking child?" I would rather rephrase that as "can a true mother forget her sucking child". Well, from what you have written so far it seem your step mum fits in more as your true mother considering she went to the extreme to ensure that you had an education when your biological mum didn't really care what happened to you. With due respect to your biological Mum for bringing you into this world but she didn't do well by abandoning you at the tender age... notwithstanding what she has done to you be good to her and show her love. So I'm sure you should know what to do now if you are in such kind of situation but I hope you don't have a situation where you have to choose between the two anyway. God bless your heart and grant you wisdom to always make the right decision.

How can i control my Sexual Urges?
Flee from every appearance of evil and sexual arousing scenes like pornographic materials as well as stop being idol because an Idol mind is the devil's workshop. Rather focus on productive things and if you have the means, please find a good girl and get married so that you have a legal ground to exercise your sexual urges. God help you.

Adaure4ever:
Ladies and Gentlemen, come in, let us discuss.
I was watching a tele relationship show and one of the participants in the show said that the reason why the rate of unmarried ladies is growing is that the "HUSBAND MATERIAL" young men are Scarce.
Just drop your opinions, do you agree to that?
Well, I don't agree that with the statement that the reason why the rate of unmarried ladies is growing is because "Husband Material" young men are scarce. I think the issue is with the young Women of these days because they are looking for Ready-made-Husbands (Guys who are extremely rich) and would rather not settle down with young guys with potentials but not there yet. So essentially it boils down to "money". The love of money and comfort is the reason behind the large number of unmarried ladies. I can assure you there are many good guys out there who are good Husband Material. So ladies take your eyes off money and look out for potentials and learn to be contented as your strive for better fortunes. Don't wait until you are too advanced in age and desperation set in. Pretty Adaure, Hope you are not like one of those ladies..... God help us all.

Hi all,
I intened to travel to USA using my leave period. I work in a bank. What are the required documents i will need to show @Embassy?

But my fear is i worked with local govt b4 now and i was among 10 people dey sent for training in d US but i was rejected.

Hope this wont be a barrier to my visiting now as a banker?
Hey! It doesn't really matter if you were rejected before, you probably presented insufficient documentation at that time or you showed you were desperate or something wasn't right. Although sometimes you may have all it takes but still get denied. Anyway, my advice is that you get all the documents you need like bank details, pay slips, introduction letter from you bank, an invitation letter from whoever you are visiting etc and go fill your application form sufficiently not leaving out the fact that you were once denied visa and have faith in God that you will get the Visa.

guess what I was rejected the first time but got a 2 years afterwards and another 2 years..... So God can do it for you too!

Good luck and remember to share your testimony when you get the visa ok!
TravelRe: Netherlands Visa by Mossaino(m): 4:06pm On Oct 15, 2015
You probably need a Schengen Visa for you to visit the Netherlands. I think you can ask your wife to be to send you an Invitation letter to make things easier with the applicant processing. Anyway, you can google the procedures online and get more information on what and what you need to do. Good luck on your quest!
TravelRe: USA Visiting Visa by Mossaino(m): 7:42am On Oct 05, 2015
Hey guy! Your friend wont be able to use a tourist visa B1/B2 (Visit) to work over there in USA and he wont be able to use it for studies as well. Why not advise your friend to get the appropriate visa for whatever he intends to do in the USA. The Americans are quite strict when it comes to the visa issues.

Well, hope this helps but in any case you may wish to visit the US visa home page for more information
