Kieran Tierney is available in two strange circumstances. KT still has two years left on his Arsenal deal and Arsenal are using a not so used "rule " KT could use a Bosman to buy up his own contract and move abroad. Or ! Arsenal have offered a loan to Club's on a pay as he plays deal . Arsenal would cover KT's wages if he doesn't play ( this would include automatic buy option if he was to play over 20 games .
He returned to full training date has yet to be announced.
Edu Gaspar is nothing if not creative. #arsenalfanaticsnews |

Deltamani: With the few number of game Regina has played for Nigeria she hasn’t had any bad one, even when Randy was Commending Ucheibe for her performance for Benfica, he took a long while to give her a chance in the team..!
Again I believe he wanted to phase out Rita Chikwelu, Ngozi Okobi etc from the team gradually but it took alot of time.. Regina Otu isn’t a bad player, if at her she will give what Ucheibe offers and again she’s a good passer of the ball.
Regina Otu have also been getting call ups under Randy which sometimes she isn’t available for one reason all the other.! I wish she was among the 18players right now at least she would probably get some minutes coming in for Abiodun when tired out. Thank you. The bolded is exactly what I'm driving at. |

lovewins: You read to respond not to comprehend. There's literally a trail of thought that led to what you quoted so read again, this time slowly.
I didn't say Otu "should be ahead" like it's her birthright. I also can't remember me what you claimed to have asked. Maybe I missed it so quote it so I see.
The point is simple, Regina Otu had ample chance to stake a claim in the team. To claim Randy gave her few minutes is being disingenuous. She literally played loads of minutes during the Aisha Buhari cup and had as much opportunity as Uchiebe during the WAFCON. The difference is Christy made a case for her inclusion and she's been in the team ever since. Otu has also featured in numerous friendly games, to claim lack of minutes as excuse is just being dishonest.
And the "coach doesn't trust her" wasn't used just for her. You'll notice I used it first for Rinsola who is a fat better player than Otu is. They see what we don't see or a player just doesn't fit their strategy. It's the coach's decision and we respect it.
Randy incompetence? No point even responding to that. The ample chance is what I'm even referring to. You need to cut that girl some slack. She came in and play but your coach decided to ignore her. How is it her fault that she couldn't nail a spot? The Ucheibe you mentioned here, do you know how many months it takes for her to get a chance? That chance even came after Randy was pressured due to the stinker Rita dropped against RSA in that AFCON. Tomorrow, we will discuss Rinsola when there is a new winger in the squad and you will still make the same 'ample chance' comment. The same way you wrote Macleans off with just the few minutes cameo in AWCON. The only way to justify your stance is if Otu was given playing time and she performed badly. Finito. |

lovewins: What excuse? According to you, Otu should be ahead of Ucheibe and Abiodun and I asked you how many minutes has she played under Randy. Don't use the 'the coach doesn't trust her' excuse to exonerate Randy's incompetence. |

Jodera: ObaIgwe, I told you that it'll be difficult for Tavarez to come back. The way he said so many things while away on loan just made me know that he won't have a future here. Coupled with the intense competition at Lb I would like him to choose another position. He should work on doing the Bale transformation. Move him from LB to LE or RW. E bad e bad, he no fit worse pass Antony. |

Deltamani: Camp Update
As a result of injury to Halimatu Ayinde, Coach Randy Waldrum has moved forward Ifeoma Onumonu to the 18-player squad while Regina Otu has been invited as alternate player. WTF! Is Ify even fit? Demehin is coming back from injury and we only have 2 DMs who are expected to start together. No backup DM. We have Macleans, Oshoala and Ihezuo who can play CF but this coach still went for another striker. If na local coach do this one, internet for don catch fire. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 12:53pm On Jul 10, 2024 |
lovewins: He doesn't trust her simple. Like I said Regina has played enough under Randy to earn a place. The fact that she isn't even under consideration as a bench player tells us everything we need to know. My only issue is how Alani made the list. But again, it was the same way I felt initially when Abiodun was first invited by Randy. Maybe just maybe there's is something he sees that we don't. This is assuming Alani didn't make it as a NPFL quota though. Please, don't make this kind of excuse again. |
