Did Kiwior outperform Zinny defensively?

His removal shows either something happened in halftime room or he was the weak link. He doesn't even have Salah tonight o. No Salah, No TAA
Arteta decided to go with 4-2-4 instead of 3-2-5. With Rice-Jorginho pivot, there was no need for Zinchenko to invert. So he went for the more defensive Kiwior.

Apt context. The guy is literally shit coated with honey.
I was one of those who really supported him here. The excuse then was that he is low on confidence and that he has not properly settled in. One ridiculous back pass changed my mind. No way you're so low in confidence that you wouldn't be able to do something as simple as ABC on the pitch.

For the sake of our 65m, I hope he turns out well sha.

The probability of Trossard scoring that goal before he received the pass was like zero. Baba collected pass and deleted two players. He ran inside box and ridiculed Allison. Oh my God. Make Brighton send azza, I wan do giveaway.

After this season, we should find a way to bin Jesus and Partey. Two useless players that are so fond of shattering the fans' hope. See chances wey Havertz dey miss. This was Jesus' game ffs.
BTW, I don't know why we are not utilizing Martinelli's wing the more. Just send the ball to his wing.

Please why Gabriel jesus not on the match day squad and what is Jorginho doing in the line up or have we given up on the title?
Jesus is injured and Nketiah is obviously not trusted. Havertz to play CF while Jorginho replaces him in Midfield.

CIV will later win this match if Mali doesn't take their chances. You don't miss such PK at this stage of a tourney.
I like the ref sha... the way he first of all shook Kossonou's hand before awarding him a yellow card eh...

Nwabali just came out of nowhere and start 'balling' for us. That's kinda strange. He has become everybody's darling in that team.

But then putting two and two together, Enyeama said something about going to AFCON before the tourney starts. Could it be that Enyeama did alchemy of souls and swap body with Nwabali.

Just think...both even have the same head shape and usually shout at interval. Alchemy of souls?

Speaking to reporters at the post-match press conference, Peseiro said: "Before the break I called Iwobi and Onyeka, asked them who is more tired so I can bring in one substitute. No one said I'm tired.

"After five minutes Ekong came to tell me Onyeka cannot continue. Ekong informed me you must change Onyeka.

"From my bench, it's better I keep Iwobi, put Yusuf, and Onyeka goes out but I know all the players want to complete the game.

"I was angry in that moment. Two times Ekong said Onyeka is tired due to the pain in the shoulder. But I asked him five minutes before, not 10, 15 or 20 minutes, said he was okay, it's happening in football.

"The captain on the pitch can inform me about some situations - some players tired, some players feeling some pain."
TBH, this is a two way thing.
In this scenario, one could say Onyeka was merely displaying his patriotic spirit. On the other hand, this could have put the team in a big problem.

Stanley Nwabali breaks a 44-year record for Eagles goalkeepers, securing 4 consecutive clean sheets in a major tournament.

He has surpassed Best Ogedegbe's 1980 record and Alloy Agu's 1990 3-game streak

Let's celebrate him

Nwabali will definitely get a big club move after this tournament, the guy is just too good.
Yea... the first Nigerian goalkeeper to keep four consecutive clean sheets in a tournament in 30 years or so. Best Ogedegbe was the last to do so.

He's clearly trying to downplay the incident so that the media won't keep the issue by giving the two players unnecessary attention.
Exactly... and going by the way the 'switching wives' comment has been going around the media, he achieved his aim. If only he is as good on-pitch the way he is good off-pitch.

The match showed that without Onyeka we will struggle. I do hope the injury is not much!

That Osimhen chance! I don't understand why he had to put the ball on his left when he could have curled it with his right!!
We missed Onyeka because the coach made a wrong substitution. Onyedika should have come in for Onyeka not that Mummy's boy.
