Spy360: How did it contradict my stance? Have you been following?
Giroud (A) hardly scores hatricks, he will only score an odd goal per match. But RVP (B) scored a lot of braces and hatricks. Do you deny this? Exactly.... You see those braces and Hattricks, they're actually an edge. And this also proves you can't use stats alone to judge players which you vehemently disagreed with. |

Spy360: Their goals per game ratio is similar. So what's blasphemy here?
You guys are hypocritical in opinion. In one voice you say strikers must score goals and that's what matters. In another voice you say stats don't matter.
If we compare Nketiah and Jesus who would you say is the better striker? Because Van Persie had the better stat. There is the golden boot to back this up sef. Even, your 'Player A vs Player B' comparison which you brought as illustration already contradicted your stance. |

Jodera: True talk tho but Arteta has shown he has trust issues regarding his bench so far.
Now that he has a fit Nelson for some time now, let's see whether he'll ever get to start him. One thing with Arteta is that even within his bench, he still has "First eleven".
The only time he switched up this season (especially that Midfield) was against Sheffield. He's hardly tried it before nor after. I wouldn't dispute this. Naturally, I like giving people free reign in situation like this. Let him just do whatever he wishes so he no go get excuse when it is time to sack him. BTW, United, Spurs and Liverpool will be affected with this AFCON o. They will miss there stars o. |

Spy360: This is false now.
Jodera said Giroud was 'very very average' and the worst striker to play for Arsenal similar to Lacazette. I only proved that Giroud had similar stats to RVP and Adebayor which is true. You guys need to read first before jumping into argument. Actually, Giroud is average or which category would you place him? You said Giroud and RVP are on par which is a blaspheme. |

Jodera: This same team have been winning earlier this season which is true but you'll notice even during the wins, most of us weren't comfortable with the play. It was as if we were struggling to win or play our game. They were always complaints here and there that our attack isn't as fluid as last season.
Why I might agree that they might be mentally tired, Arteta needs to trust his bench more. Nelson ought to be starting some matches as far back as weeks ago. ESR have been fit for some time, he needs to be starting matches too. Let this guys rest and recharge as well as knowing that their spot isn't guaranteed. He did that to Martinelli early this season and the first 2-3 matches after, Martinelli was playing good. That is even after having a good 2nd half cameo against Man city. Now, he has gone back to default settings.
He needs to shake these guys up and he also needs improve on his own formula workings too. This season hasn't been sweet in terms of performances. Na just defence they try hold us. This is what happens when you take the "defence wins you league" mantra too personally and that's what he's doing The issue with using the bench has a lot to do with reliability IMO. The like of Tomiyasu, Partey, Nelson, ESR and Vieira have proven that they're not reliable due to their incessant injuries. I don't think any manager would want to put them at the heart of the team. Immediately we sold Xhaka, I was happy ESR will finally get his chance but man has been in and out of treatment room twice now. IMO, the foundation of the team needs to be reliable and available. |

Exactly what I needed Jodera to see. You putting Giroud and RVP in the same category was what Jodera opposed, not whether Giroud is good or not. |

We have the players but injury is dealing with our bench. I think our problem is the lack of flexibility in our playing structure and the fact that the players are mentally tired. The latter is evident with the way Gabriel and Rice were arguing and Martinelli ignoring handshake.
This is the same team that has been winning matches earlier this season. All I can say now is that they are mentally tired. Arteta needs to shake things up both on and off the field. And we need our subs back too. They should shake that injury off. |

Without even legends or pundits saying so, many admit that Xhaka departure has contributed to Nelli downgrade and Kai is not at that level to improve that or make that any better, asides Nelli's own loss of form. This is not hard to see. You're saying something else. You clearly said Arteta changed the team's style in order to accommodate Havertz. And I asked you to prove it. Yes, we have shuffled between 325 and 424 this season even when Trossard was played in midfield. Havertz is not up to par. He has not really improved the team. Agreed. Just tell us how Arteta changed the style to favour Havertz. Simple! |

In as much I agree that he needs improvement and up his game - which every player must - saying odegaard is not good for you guys is a careless and way below expectations from an Arsenal fan.
One thing I noticed about Arsenal play this season is that, they are too blunt, stagnant, no high press, no quick transition and no hunger like last season.
I watched few Arsenal games last season, I was impressed with their team work, high pressed and hunger to win. The trio of saka, martinelli and Saka were very active and dominated their opponents. I watched them and I instantly rooted for them for EPL. When one compares that performance to this very one, you guys will be deceiving yourself if you think it's an improvement.
What went wrong? Definitely, not the players but the system and the structure!!!! Gbam! But yours truly has been following arsenal since 1925. |

Sensationalism won't get us goals. As far as Kai plays on the Left majorly, irrespective of role or whatever, his impact is way way way far from the overall impact Xhaka has on that same region.
The more shocking thing is that Arteta changed the style to accommodate THIS ONE PLAYER
LET THAT SINK DEEP. A manager doing that to the setup of a team that finished 2nd?? Repercussions dey, asides other troubling issues with the attack. We just pray he utilizes this January. How did he changed the style please? I want to know. |

E go be like sey na bad belle, but I've been proven right every single time. You're carried away with stats, se-len-se football and flair. I'm not. All I'm saying is, what we have cannot take you and I to where we want to be. But I guess the definition of where we both want to be is subject to our varying interpretation.
I know where I desire my club to be. But I know that these guys won't take us there.
Come'on! We didn't win the League in 2005, 06, 07 and 08 with far superior players and u think we will now? How? Why? Better Coach? Better squad? What a joke! We almost won last season, like we didn't almost win it for many other seasons.
One ucl final in over 20 years and you think we can now reach even the ucl semi finals with these players? Are u not seeing what our competitors are doing and how they're doing it? Nawa ooo!!! History plays Football, bro. Know this and know peace.
You will keep dreaming and get nothing. Unfortunately, whatever you get is what I also get. The same player you said couldn't push us to win titles almost won it last season but for injuries and thin squad, we could have won it. Who are these far superior players abeg? |

Spy360: I expected that given a low block Arteta would send Havertz into the forward position as aerial threat.
Let me use this post to state that statistics are recommended evidence and should be respected. But as Davep said, they are indicative but not conclusive which I agreed.
You see, me saying Giroud is on par with RvP is based on stats which is true. However, everyone of us who watched Arsenal knows that RvP is a far superior player/goal scorer.
That said, my grouse with you is when you make unguarded statements probably due to arrogance like saying Giroud is very very average. Which we have seen that it isn't true because it is not backed with facts.
You can say you prefer RVP or you can say RVP is better than Giroud. But don't say Giroud is very average just to push an agenda. Spy, na you type this thing? You will be honored bro...both home and away, you will command respect. That a player is average doesn't mean he is not good. |

daveP: Wait one, you guys on here with this constant "mention somebody better" thing, why do i find it very odd, especially when viewed from the lens of inference?? It is hilarious o. There's always going to be someone better. And then again, there's always going to be averages that click in teams that makes one forget they were ever average. These things are not too direct now.
For now, all our Forwards need competition. If this is how we play, UCL football go do us wiunnnnn for ear.
The 2nd problem is Arteta refusing to just give minutes to players. In a way, Tierney, though, injury prone, was a good one.
Make we sha see 5buys this January.
We also need Arteta to find ways to end this direct approach thing. It is very annoying. It is an open discussion. Suggesting players that would add quality to the team should be seen as an agenda |
