How can a normal person just wake up one day and start comparing Benzema with Suarez.? Make Benz reach Aguero level first then we can talk. Benz only improved a bit this just concluded season but overall and based on consistency, I don't think he will make a list of top five strikers currently playing. |

I think the Onana rumored transfer now makes sense cos I was wondering what would become of Ryan if Onana is added to our goal keeping team This is good but Onana is still serving his ban. |

Jodera: Lol... Nothing pain me reach 2015/2016 season. The season where we had peak ozil, peak Sanchez, peak cazorla, peak coquelin. Defence not bad. What was just sorely needed was a good striker to feed off ozil Sanchez and cazorla creativity, but what did he do? He brought in injured Kim kardashian kallstrom. Average below par sub standard Giroud our stiker went on goal drought for a month plus if not more and our title ambition disappeared. Yet they will say we're still building stadium and paying Emirates debt. Laughable Bro..that season still dey do me somehow. All we needed then was a good striker. With a decent striker, we would have won the league. |

Spy360: You made valid points here, in that Wenger made the board comfortable, making UCL spot year on year despite very poor investments.
Should we blame Wenger for sticking to the club he loves or blame him for still finishing top four and making the board comfortable? I won't blame him for that bro. Like I said, he was partially at fault. By the way, Wenger still remain one of my best manager so I have nothing against him. |

Spy360: So you believe Wenger can think of doing this? Wake up one morning and saying 'I think I'm going to reduce the bar'. You guys are really messing up o What do you think could have been the problem then? I can remember the season we only have Leicester to compete with yet he fumbled. We were in the title race in a particular season and we only needed a decent striker in the January transfer window yet who did we got? An injured Kim Kalstrom. Wenger was partially at fault. Infact, if it won't be too extreme, Wenger made the board too comfortable. He practically carried every burden for them. Their unwillingness to spend might have been due to Wenger been too honest. |

Simon vs Kalu et al...
Now, we need to consider what each of our wingers bring to the table before we can decide who is best and who is worst among them.
I dare say Simon is the one with the different attributes among them all. He is the the proper winger while the orders are wide forward. Simon is that type that will give you width and defensive assurance while still contributing at the attacking front. His recent goals and assists addition is really commendable. One of his attributes I admire also is crossing. He is comfortable on either wing and can use both legs.
But if you want an inverted wide forwards with the sole duty of cutting inside, then Onyekuru ,Kalu and chuks are your choices.
However, Simon too is not bad as an inverted forward but his main strength is his wing play. And whoever said he can't dribble should go and watch his YouTube clip. Why I think his dribbling is unnoticeable is that he is more direct, not the showboating type like Ejuke.
To be honest, we have decent wingers ..it is just that their attributes are different. I'm comfortable with any of them.
Wetin dey pain me right now is that Ogbomoso-made Sam Allardyce we parade as coach. I'm totally tired of him. |

Guy at least you reason pass Buhari. Lol He has a point bro. Wenger came and built the invincible team. He was the same person that didn't adequately replace them and started competing for top four instead of the real trophy. Though, I'm not blaming Wenger but he is partly at fault for reducing the bar before departing. |

kodded: The mediocrity you are seeing today started from the board during wenger days.
No top club should be fighting for top 4 evry season, while their mates are fighting for the EPL title and champions league every season.
Saldy this mediocrity has eaten deep into the squad too.
By now a serious top club that just finished 8th in the league should have sacked the coach and sacked the incompetent edu and bring in highly trained professionals with experience to steady the ship before it goes sinking further down into the abyss of mediocrity, but my club is still showing faith when artea no be Jesus Christ self.
Aubameyang, lacazette, willian, xhaka, AMN, Bellerin, Nkeitah, guendouzi, willock, cedric, eleny and leno (if he do anyhow) should be used to raise our transfer funds since their presence in the field is as good as dead.
Our priority going into the transfer wimdow should be Beundia Bissouma Odegard (another loan + option) New RB Backup LB New CF that suit our style of play preferably Andre Silva from frankfurt
New team for next season should look like
GK - Leno, Ryan
LB - Teirney, backup LB
RB - New RB, chambers
CB - Saliba, mavro, holding, Gabriel, Mari
Midfield - Partey, Bissouma, odegaard and Smith Rowe (buendia, chambers and Azzez should be included in the midfield incase of emergency)
Attack - Saka, Martinelli, Pepe, Nelson, Beundia, Andre silva and Balogun
In the January transfer window, since we might have fewer and tougher games, I suggest we loan some of our youngsters with limited playing time like balogun, nelson and Azeez while we bring in a temporary EPL experienced striker to compensate for balogun loan.
We have only one goal next season and that is to go back to the top of the EPL since we will have fewer games compared to the remaining top 7 clubs.
It's time we prioritize quality over quantity in the squad, but alas we have arteta who might decide to renew lacazette, xhaka and eleny contract this season and might choose to bring either odegaard or beundia when in reality we need both.
That's all for now, na to sitdown for fence dey observe how this transfer window go be, I don dey even hear say Artea wan add another CB to the team meanwhile our major problem last season was our inability not to create chances because of the lack of creative players in the team. I agree with you bro. We started aiming at the ceiling since Wenger's days and now we can't even leave the ground. |
