IDENNAA: If he had it , it will show ,naturally. Ndidi cant push a ball not because he was instructed against it but he dont have that skill set. You cant learn some of these things. Etebor is a good example ;the coaches want to convert a left forward into a CM/DM. Like playing Nacho as a top 9. It won't work.
So , can fit into an old-fashioned DM but because he was a defender but he will fail in the duties of a CM And if he pushes the ball forward, exposing the defence and somehow the opposing team scores. As the coach , how will you react? Bro, in football, your BASIC responsibility is the most important, any other things that follow are bonuses. Now tell me how many goals, assists, chances, long passes, through passes can be attributed to Mascherano, Makelele,Busquet and Casemiro? Ndidi is just 23 and he is ALMOST on par with these guys. Bro,inasmuch as Ndidi is doing the basic which is protecting the defence, which he does efficiently and effectively, I don't think you should have any issue with that. |

Football is business and every football club is a brand!! Ok. .putting all parameters under consideration, Arsenal is certainly bigger. |

I understand the style and tactics angle but you can't give what you don't have. Ndidi lacks some quality partey possesses. And Partey lacks some qualities Ndidi possesses. For someone that was converted from CB to DM, Ndidi might not show his attacking prowess now but that does not mean he is lacking in that department. |

I think Atletico edges arsenal slightly on the trophies won in the last 10 years. But talking about money, pedigree, squad,i think arsenal is ahead. All in all,i will say both are on par. BTW,those who took up this argument are not arsenal fans nah. |

Ok...On Ndidi, Some folks here should know that what the coach/team demand will affect how a player plays. For instance, if Barca, a team known with passes and Passings, should sign Ndidi today, we all will discover another aspect of Ndidi's game we might never see at leceister. It is just a matter of what your team demand from you. |

Now partey go earn higher than auba
Anyway partey is a very good signing but arsenal should always remember that auba is the Lionel Messi there
But it’s so funny they Ozil earns more doing nothing vex? I don't think so. Infact,he told the management to improve the squad before he sign his new contract. So I don't think he will be angry about Partey earning than him. Naturally, he is a cool dude. As for Ozil, that man na lowkey Yahoo man |

Danielnino00: Abeg,we don't want a "cross and inshAllah" style of play tomorrow... We want fluid, easy flowing attacking football.. Dessers or Iheanacho should start... If Onuachu is going to be waiting for wingers to deliver crosses before he can score, then it won't be good for us.. He can come in the second half.. Yea...you know we can actually have both. I don't know about Paul's link up play. Iwobi,Samu and Kalu will create attack overloads with Sanusi and Ebuehi providing the width. Agu and Frank will cover all the loopholes at the back. It all depend on the tactic employed. |

Simon Moses also likely to start ahead of kalu( fitness wise) Ok. .i will just be observing. |

12large1: This ndidi case sef, I don give up. Its very insulting that Arsenal signed Partey before Ndidi not because of ghana vs Nigeria Rivalry but because of how people claim Ndidi is talented. Its eithee that he isn't good as proclaimed or he has a bad agent. Thunder go faya anyone that start posting ndidi is the beat ball winner again after this season They have different playing pattern. And Arteta will probably use Partey as a B2B |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 9:23pm On Oct 06, 2020 |
BlueRayDick: Ozil is still with us because he's an Arsenal player under contract. Ozil is a very controversial figure who would dabble into politics, religion and other sensitive matters to the chagrin of his employers.
Ozil's wages wouldn't have been a problem if he was a less controversial figure who does his talking with his game play on the pitch and leaves both the fan and management happy.
If Partey would follow Ozil's way then it would mean he would have to be as controversial as ozil has ever been ok |

BlueRayDick: Let me give u analogy.
A young guy who is in his early thirties and works as a financial analyst with let's say an investment bank is somewhere minding his business, gaining more experience and writing CFA exams with the little stipends he gets as salary.
He finally paases CFA level III exams, he now holds a CFA charter and his company is planning on promoting him.....While they are doing this, a bigger company has seen his profile update on LinkedIn that he holds a CFA charter and has hands-on experience so they poach him with a pay that is almost times 10 of his current pay.
Are u going to say the new company is not wise to him like times 3 of his current salary instead of the times 10 they offered him?
What I'm trying to say is this ; When Partey negotiated the current pay he had at Athletico he wasn't the key player he is now today, a lot has changed. He has grown from just that Ghana boy that plays for Athletico to a key player that has attracted the interests of top clubs in Europe. In other words his value had increased. This was what necessitated Arsenal giving him an offer he couldn't pass even for loyalty sake. Ok... it is well understood. |

BlueRayDick: Which future resale again? We just signed a 27 year old on a 4/5 years contract. By the end of the contract he will be above 30 what future resale are we talking about here?
Any other player that wants to seek new contract will definitely negotiate based on their performance among other factors. Bellerin or Maitland Niles no go wake up one day say they must collect Partey's salary na. There are levels to these things I'm actually putting the Ozil situation into context here. One of the reason he is still with us is that no team can afford his wage. He have no problem taking a pay cut but Baba want the money more than anything else. Now back to Partey, what if he follows the Ozil way? |
