Kbs468: Arsenal currently have 27 players to fit into the 25 list. Who should we lose?
by Tony Attwood
The purchases
So, as we know, we have purchased four players. A number of others are being discussed, but for the moment let us work with these four…
Willian: Winger — from Chelsea, free
Pablo Marí: Defender — from Flamengo, £14m
Cédric Soares, Defender — from Southampton; free
Gabriel Magalhães; Defender — from Lille £27m
All four have foreign status, meaning that they cannot be counted in our home grown list – which we shall come to in just a moment.
Who have we got
Keepers
Bernd Leno
Emiliano Martinez (home grown)
Matt Macey (home grown)
Backs
William Saliba
Shkodran Mustafi
Calum Chambers (home grown)
Rob Holding (home grown)
Sokratis
David Luiz
Kieran Tierney
Hector Bellerin (home grown)
Sead Kolasinac
Midfield
Ainsley Maitland-Niles (home grown)
Lucas Torreira
Granit Xhaka
Mohamed Elney
Matteo Guendouzi
Joe Willock (home grown)
Mesut Ozil
Forwards
Bukayo Saka (under 21)
Gabriel Martinelli (under 21)
Nicolas Pepe
Reiss Nelson (under 21)
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang
Alex Lacazette
Eddie Nketiah (home grown)
Other under 21s can of course be added to the squad at any time Papa,Kola, Torrera, Guen might leave.Laca and Bellerin might also depart. The thought of Ozil wasting our money and still wasting space is infuriating sha. |

BlueRayDick: I don't like the idea of using makeshift players like that Jàre. I prefer natural players to be used in their natural positions Same here too...but the wing is overloaded already and the cash to be use to fund Bellerin' replacement (if he leave) can be use to strengthen other position. IMO |

iamoyindamola: Nelson in defence Another player out of position then someone will blame him that he's useless I mean as a WB. He is not a newbie to that role. That was where he usually p ays before he went on loan. Not convinced with his defensive side though. |

kokaneprodigy: He has his weaknesses which I have stated clearly that are not good enough for a 4-3-3. But it’s ridiculous the number of things he’s been blamed for on this thread, Xhaka is the reason for the terrible midfield under Emery, he’s the one responsible for Guendouzi’s subpar performance, he’s to blame for the slow growth of the young midfielders, he’s to blame for 3-4-3 that was switched to by Arteta due to lack of an AM. If u can’t impregnate ur wife it’s Xhaka’s fault. Lmao..the pregnancy statement though. |

Spy360: If he wants to go we shouldn't stop him. After all we sign players from other clubs. But if you're asking whether he is still good for us, sure. He is good but I think he has now become too conservative. |

we need funds to bring in aurora and party
AMN is younger, faster and better defensively I hope we don't get disappointed by this Partey deal. |

Kbs468: we are only mentioning Ceballos because he was with us last season but in truth, how many chances did he created for our attack line?
we seriously need AMs that would create chances for goals so that when we concede, we can easily reply back with goals in truth I seriously thinks if Ozil ain't leaving, he should get his boot on and get into training.A lot of capital one cup games are on the way...Even Guen too. |

Kbs468: Yes selling is the best option.
Odsonne Edouard has even been left out of the Celtic squad for their last 2 matches already-One, a champions league qualifier and a Scottish league match I don't really know how good Edouard is sha but I heard he is 6 ft. Welcome addition. Auba and Laca will likely not be at arsenal in about 3 years from now so we should start preparing for their departure. |

Roland17: Does Gab's signing mean we will go back to a back 4?
I am thinking Arteta favors the 3-4-3 because of our fragile midfield. I think 3-4-3 is still the best if we want Auba and Pepe to score more goals this season. With 4 at the back, they will be playing as a winger... a bit far from the opponent box. With 3 at the back, they automatically become the WFs. |

iamoyindamola: Nah he won't, xhaka is slow, can't pass, panicked on the ball and can't guide himself. Once he's exposed wahala Dan start I beg to disagree bro. He is even the reason why the 'passing from the back' has been successful for some time now. |

We want to play a friendly with you,dassol... We could have meet at the AFCON but u were too pvssy to advance to the next round...same thing with the 2013 edition...
Again, nobody is obsessed with your country... so apt!

Noisyrians: You are entitled to your opinion. But football is not played with mouth, it is played on the field. Nigerians have been doing all the talk and Ghanaians have been winning on the field of play. That explain why Ghana has reached the quarter finals at the world, and almost reached the semis, while Nigeria is yet to taste a quarter final berth.
This reminds me of one of our last matches at Afcon. Nigerians were brimming with confidence because the Ghanaian team did not have “top” stars. A corner kick and Asamoah Gyan headed in the ball. Goal. That was how it ended and Ghana qualified for the semis. I don’t know how old you are, but never underestimate Ghana. It is a country with a very strong football pedigree. Here comes our Breda. We're in 2020 now for God's sake. |
