kennysville: Hmmm... sofri sofri chief! The Iwobi we knew at Arsenal is not the same Iwobi at Everton. We all witnessed the fact that he was given loads of starts and he wasnt so impressive and quite frankly the manager has been fair in his faith in Iwobi. There is no time to be developing a player when there is much more to achieve. It is strictly Iwobi's responsibility to develop himself. If it takes extra hours of practice, less partying and more work on his passing accuracy and decision making... then thats what he outta do!
The fella that tweeted the stuff was just being sentimental (as a Nigerian of course) and I get it.
Take for instance, an area I see iwobi weak at is in his shooting. He shoots mostly with his side of the foot which ends up being tame (lacking venom). Almost like a pass. Whereas, it could be a lot more desireable if he learns to shoot in-step. And frankly when he gets into the goal area, these come in to play in his overall contribution to the team.
I hope he takes his chance when the time comes again. We all saw what James Rodriguez brought in. His composure and tidiness. He didnt do too much with the ball and was highly effective. Thats all we ask. There is an iota of truth in what you said. Now taking James as an example, do you expect him to give the same performance on the wing in a defensive set up.? The few time he played as the AM,Iwobi had good performances. |

Danielnino00: There's some truth to this... I said something similar like this not long ago. Iwobi would have improve immensely with Arteta in charge but the useless Emery couldn't stop the transfer. And to think Iwobi was part of his tactical set up.

Philosopher1979: Grassroots football is working in Nigeria. Academies youth competitions etc. It is a silent revolution nobody is noticing Of course, that was what we have been praying for but the main issue now is how to utilize them. At this rate, there are some players that may never feature for the national team irrespective of their performance. Take for instance, Aribo ,Nwakali, Oliseh then you have Tijani, Muazzam,Lesley,Ejaria fighting for a single spot. That is some serious headache there my brother. |

Spy360: You mean he could be. Leno is a very good keeper and a preferable choice. Emi will be leaving on a high, but it will be difficult to displace Leno. He served well and patiently. I'd wished he stayed one more season but who knows. Well..it's OK. Just that Martinez oozes more confidence. |

Honesty from the true Egyptian king.

This was what we missed in Arsenal, because at Arsenal we always loved to play football but we didn't care [enough] about giving 100 per cent.” Even we the fans sef feel confident going into every match. #Artetaeffects. this time last year, We were still on project grinding machine. |

Honestly we got players even as far as India. na wa o. This is a big headache. The only way I think we can utilize them is if CAF can add additional tournaments like Nation's league..age grade inclusive. |

Roland17: Martinez deserves better than being called that name. The man came through for us and deserves to be starting for a team in any elite league, including the EPL. He is 28 and at this age, goalkeepers need to have established themselves and that is what he has done to deserve the good hype he is getting.
I remember saying last season that the conversation about who should be our no 1 was legitimate and a tough one that most want to avoid. I wish him all the best. You're right. He should have been our number 1 this season but our coaching crews know best. |

BlueRayDick: I don't agree with the tag "coward" ó.
Everybody knows Leno will not be benched for him except Leno drops series of disaster class performance over Time ( which is quite unlikely).
I wish him well anywhere he goes Jàre. Actually, the 'coward' label came from fans on arseblog, justarsenal who feels he is too scared to fight for his place. Anyway, he is gone, less headache for Arteta. BTW, is Macey so bad? dude is 26 already |

BascoVanVeli: Under Puel Ndidi was taking steps towards being a complete midfielder but I feel Rodgers has stunted his growth. I want him to take on more creative responsibilities on the pitch. Right now he just passes to his nearest man. He is still a great midfielder but I feel that creativity is what will make him world class. They are about to convert him to CB. E be like another mikel situation will happen |

I know I should move on but Emery really goof big time by not making Iwobi stays. Watching how much the arsenal players have all improved, I'm sure Iwobi too will have learn one thing or the other. I know he needs to work hard at Everton but Arteta would have been a better coach for him than Carlos |
