komekn: For the SE Iwobi has been very good.
However, in club football Iwobi has been inconsistent and has huge dips then a huge rise.
And Arsenal couldn't resist the money offered for a player who has promised a lot but never truly delivered.
In comparison l see nothing that Iwobi has done that Willock can not do and even surpass.
One thing I find truly baffling is that Iwobi who is us an AM has a very low goal tally. It seems Willock can shoot something that Iwobi struggles with. ok |

komekn: Before you can progress to the first team Arsenal from the academy. Rest assured more than ever before you will be technically proficient.
So to say Willock is essentially rubbish is simply not true. I'm not saying he is rubbish but comparing him with Iwobi is criminal. |

BlueRayDick: It's not like AMN is the next Mbappe or Serge Gnabry na
The is obviously not going to be a starter next season if he remains at arsenal. At least we all agree he is not a guaranteed starter in whatever position the manager may choose to use.
Is it not reasonable to allow him move elsewhere if there's prospect of him getting first team football there and arsenal getting spare cash to prosecute other prospective arrivals at the club? You've a point but selling him at this time is not advantageous. we are currently not buoyant in the MF department. The transfer market might be affected by inflation due to covid19. Also, with Lucas and Guen on their way out, and with no plan of bringing in replacement, AMN 's departure is not in anyway beneficial. I also feel playing him in different positions didn't allow him stake a place in the first team. |

edi287: Yep. Plus we missed Iwobi's ball carrying ability in the beginning of the season when Pepe was struggling to settle in. The emergence of the Ceballos helped a bit in that regard. Martinelli is a bit like Auba in the sense that he has poor holdup play. Freddie and Arteta eventually realized you can't have both him and auba in the starting 11 as it'll be turnover galore. Willock had 3 good games earlier in the season and was mostly shit after that. You are absolutely correct bro. |

Barryseal: I recall vividly a point Emery hired a personal coach for Iwobi to work on his finishing. That same season Iwobi returned just 3goals and 4 assists. Iwobi is can be tidy at times with odd nutmeg here and there but that's just about it. Every other thing is unpolished. Emery hired personal coach for Iwobi Isokay |

Barryseal: Marinelli himself said he preferred playing on the left. Maybe you probably know Martineli more than Martineli. Watch his goal against Chelsea and tell me his starting position in that game. Even in cup games when Arsenal played him up-front because Nkatiah was out on loan, he always attacked from the left.
Iwobi is tidy player but not the kind of player to run your offense. His end product is flat out poor. 3 youngsters promoted in his stead all out performed him this season and yet, you claim Arsenal made an error selling him. Iwobi can have a decent career of course but it appears he wasn't destined to play for the top dogs. Watch him shine at Crystal Palace, Aston Villa or somewhere like Southampton with less pressure. ok |

Barryseal: Wait a minute, can you tell me Iwobi's weakness as a player. The most prominent. His shooting ability. Dude's shots are like pregnant woman's. This,i guess contributed greatly to his poor goal return. |

Barryseal: Jezz. Arsenal effectively replaced Iwobi's goals and assists with Saka, Martineli and Willock's contribution. Individually these young boys outscored Iwobi this season. Iwobi scored 3 goals in his last season for Arsenal. Each of these boys scored more than that in their first season. Selling Iwobi was a smashing decision. Evertonians are claiming Arsenal scammed them. Martinelli is a striker bro...and also it is easier to get assists from crosses and cut backs is Saka's case. As for that willock wey you bring,it is laughable. You can't use goals only to compare Joe with Iwobi. Arsenal are 16th in term of goalscoring chances created this season. That should tell you why we really missed Iwobi in the final third. Iwobi might be inconsistent but all your arguments were bore on hate. Willock of all people? Damn |

Barryseal: Yeah. Willock of all people. Give him Iwobi's minutes, he will crack double digit goals, that's the implication of his stats and probably the reason why Arsenal had no qualms binning Iwobi. I hear Everton want to get rid too. The same Willock that can not make a simple pass to save his life? And you lied about Arsenal having no problem getting rid of him. Damn! I only blame Emery. Dude really fumbled with that single transfer. |
