So Algeria won this Afcon with the same goal record they used to win it in 1990 scored 13 goals and conceded 2. I dare say we can now predict future Afcon winners simply by going through history. |

just when we are complaining about Akpeyi ..boom!! Senegal keeper happens. I think the reason Algeria get the upper hand against us was because we were too gentle, our attackers especially ighalo and musa were crap and of course THE JERSEY.. Lolz BTW I expect Senegal to equalize with pne the free kicks ..what did hell were they tall for.? Sane,Kouyate,Starr,Niang and you couldn't score from set piece |

TheSuperNerd: Uzoho was third choice. A certain Abdullahi or so was second choice... Alampasu was first choice.
Mind you, from the CAF championships and qualifiers, A certain Adeyinka Adewale was first choice but MRI knocked him out paving the way for Alampasu. OK.. I just wonder where they are. 2013 sets really do us bad thing. With those talents then,we shouldn't have any problem in SE but... the 2015 set try small given they are not as talented as their seniors. Yahaya, zaharadeen bello, eze, nwakali, dem dem. |

TheSuperNerd: Super Eagles GK situation
The future of our Goalkeeping rests on the likes of Francis Uzoho, Dele Sunday Alampasu, and Maduka Okoye if we take our eyes away from the local front.
Jonathan Osegoagbon Zaccala will grow into a solid option by the next U-20 WC.
Uzoho recently got loaned to Cypriot first division side, Omonia Nikosia who finished 5th last season. Hopefully he gets enough playing time and continues to improve. He is 20 and stands at 1.96m. Lad still boasts a WC record as one of two youngest GKs with a WC clean sheet. He can only get better.
Alampasu Sunday saw a lot of action for Feirense's U-23 side in the Portuguese U-23 league and hopefully can make the step up to play top flight football in the 2019/20 season. He is 22 now and stands at 1.99m. Remember he was rated Best U-17 GK in the world in 2013 with a golden gloves award. Alampasu is still as talented.
Okoye Mad' plays in Germany's Fourth Tier in the Regionalliga West for Fourtuna Dusseldorf II where he is undisputed No.1. Hopefully he can grow and make the step up also to a higher league as he is only 19 now. Will turn 20 by next month.
Zaccala is still just 17 and playing academy football for Triestina U-19. He is one for the future due to his obvious unreal talents between the sticks. Hopefully the next U-20 exposes him more and he would have made more career progress in terms of his development by then. Alampasu ,taller than Uzoho? WTF |

Believe me if u re a striker and meet a defender with a smelly mouth u will not want to pass is route again ....just avoid him like plague .

Alampasu is not the answer bro. you have a point but nothing bad in giving him a chance. we are not blessed with good keepers right now . moreso. .he might be able to resurrect his club career if he can make good of his invite |

OMANBALA1: I started disliking Iwobi after he made a smelly gesture to a fellow African player....Very ffoollish boy. If it was white that did it all hell will let loose. But thats by the way. I am more interested in what he brings to the table which is a big gigantic NOTHING. To make things worse whenever he loses the ball he raises his hands like Ighalo and mouth like Kelechi. Its very infuriating. if you hate him on off-football issue, that doesn't mean you shouldn't appreciate him small. whenever he loses the ball, he runs to win it back not that he will raise his hand . cut the guy some slack abeg |

3 Gold (Titles) + 4 Silver medal finishes + 8 bronze medal finishes
The consistency is top class. Undisputed. But we need a fourth title. The next final we get to, I'm sure we will win it. Afcon 2021 is a target... It is in Cameroun. agreed sir |

OMANBALA1: I was one of the people that had high hopes on Iwobi but the truth is the boy is over hyped. Its gradually becoming obvious Iwobi cant even keep a ball on his feet...so much for a "playmaker"....poor passes, zero aerial abilities, zero ball control and disgraceful physical strength for a boy born in Naija lolz calm down bro. Am sure you will praise him to high heaven if he scores a match winner next match. See,am an arsenal fan ,I have watched iwobi countless time and i know a bit about what brought out the best in him. You can't expect iwobi to play well without any ball distributor behind him. At arsenal, there is xhaka,Ozil e.t.c. but who do we have in SE? cut the guy some slack. |

Even Chukwueze cant wear the 10 yet....maybe Samuel Kalu and Etebor for now. las las Iwobi go collect the #10 |

Victor Moses with one goal and an assist didn't leave up to expectations! 1 goal 1 assist? even Musa with 2 decisive goals didn't escape bashing here. |

andrew444: Maybe Na only victor moses go World Cup
Our defenders that was scared of those crappy Argentina players our players underperformed at the WC I agreed. Vicmo is good I agreed. In that Croatia match, you would expect a player of his calibre to show up and carry the team but he was just killing our attack and falling carelessly looking for cheap FKs. Some here believed we would have won this AFCON had vicmo played. That is debatable because we ain't sure of his dedication. If he decided to come back,I will welcome him provided he sought out his attitude. But if not,IMO i will stick to our current wingers. They are young and will only get better.BTW, they are way more totally committed. |

forgiveness: Victor Moses is better than those two in the gwg. Victor Moses singlehandedly won us the AFCON.
When he was benched by late Keshi at the beginning of the tournament, we played rubbish but as soon as he was given normal chance to thrive, he became the game changer.
Don't ask who Vicmo epp next time. I didn't say he was not good. For someone who put up a masterclass performance during the qualifiers, you will expect him to continue at the tournament proper. But dude was playing as if we forced him to play for us. Vicmo is good no doubt, but I hate his nonchalant attitude. Everybody is busy calling for him here as if he won't put up his arrogant attitude on display. |
