Politics / Re: Zakari Biu Released A Week After Suspect Escaped From Police Custody by mosunade(f): 10:36am On Nov 15, 2012
Your title is misleading. Released a week after suspect escaped police custody? Is that the content of the report?
Politics / Re: Zakari Biu Released A Week After Suspect Escaped From Police Custody by mosunade(f): 10:34am On Nov 15, 2012
OP, what is the meaning of your title?

The man was released after 9 months in detention. Not one week. Stop deceiving people.

Zakari Biu released from detention after 9 months

http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/lead-stories/50934-zakari-biu-released-from-detention-after-9-months

NINE months after he was detained over alleged complicity in the escape of Boko Haram kingpin, Kabiru Sokoto, former Commissioner of Police in charge of Special Investi-gations at Zone Seven Police Command, Abuja, Mr Zakari Biu, has been released from detention.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that Biu was released on the orders of President Goodluck Jonathan, following the conclusion of investigations into the escape of Sokoto from a team of police officers detailed by Biu to search Sokoto’s house in Abaji, for documents relating to the activities of the Boko Haram sect.

On his release to the police authorities from the Guard’s Brigade detention facility where he had spent the last nine months, Nigerian Tribune gathered that the officer told a few sympathisers that former Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, sacrificed him because he wanted tenure extension.

Nigerian Tribune saw Zakari Biu in the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Peter Gana, on Tuesday, waiting for the next directive on his release.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that for the period Biu was in detention, neither his wife nor children were allowed to see him, while his house, located in Jos, Plateau State capital, was vandalised during one of the crises in the town.

Too many conspiracy theories. Why not just wait 30 days before all these propaganda and unreasonable conspiracy theories?

No conspiracy theories never come to pass despite the opposition championing it. When Nnaji resigned, they wrote so many conspiracy theories that never saw the light of the day, now they have started, and the gulible who even knows nothing about the whole exercise will join them in singing unfounded conspiracy theories.

What do you mean? Before you know it now, you will begin to accuse GEJ of pocketing the money, yet he is the one who has ordered re - opening of the case.

Mr Gbawe, the man who always goes to the newspapers to cull articles and want us to believe everything in the articles but will not want us believe the government side of things. Three days ago, he was shouting himself hoarse about government discrediting the Ribadu report, now he is up in arms again accusing GEJ of corruption because a contract was scrapped and put up again for bid.

londoner: As much as it disappoints me to say this......I smell a rat here...seriously. I dont think Nigeria is ready to improve yet.......our leaders are not sincere and they will not move with the country;s best interest at heart.

This is making us look like a place not to be taken seriously.
Gosh......Nigeria is such a frsutrating place.....bad news every day. Obne step forward (or so we think) followed by three steps backwards. If there was a justified reason for this GEJ should have let us know with the news that the contract was scrapped.

You smell a rat because they say a contract that doesnt follow due process should be put up for bid again? with the same Manitoba coy free to participate again? why not wait till the 30 days before you start this lamentation of sodom?

He told you the reason but you are crying still that you smell a rat? Who is roasting the rat?

Mr Gbawe.

Go to government and get a first hand information as to why they did what they did. Stop relying on journalists and biased publications to make a point. Haba. Your mumu don too much for this NairaLand. Your points can not be heard on NairaLand, choose a better media.

You are a biased old man. Get your kids to take over from you. LOL.

Hey. Hope you get paid cool for all these efforts. Nice way to make money.

Politics / Re: Should Nigeria Give A Loan To Sao Tome And Principe? by mosunade(f): 4:55pm On May 15, 2009
i now see there are many idiots and fools on NairaLand. When Nigeria goes asking for loan legitimately from other countries, dont we get considered and they give us? What is there in Nigeria helping another country genuinely and legitimately? I think some people here are just illetrates and cant think or reason deeply. I am just short for words at these kind of responses.

Nuzo aint speaking for the masses, but for his pockets, he wants a way to share the national cake, but failing to get to him, he concludes, he wants to give up on Nigeria, if you do, nice try, i dont think we are much concerned about that bit. According to Ak, those who matters to Nigeria do know themselves and we can start loosing sleep when they start talking.
Politics / Re: I May Give Up On Nigeria Soon by mosunade(f): 2:41pm On May 11, 2009
Someone wakes up and tells us he may give up on Nigeria soon and we are all here trying to tell him not to? Who cares how many people give up on Nigeria? What good has that got to do to us?We should rather applaud him, tell him to denounce his citizenry, if he hasnt yet done so, and then bugger off into complete oblivion, never coming near anything Nigeria anymore.
