Teaching good precepts... Well, it all depends! To all of you shouting Poverty mentality... I really do hope you understand that as parents, you are obliged to train your own child the best way you deem fit. The OP has done his own part for the sake of nurturing his child in the way and manner he deems fit... Do your own part for your children, it will all tell in the future. Receiving the birthday gift isn't the problem here... I think the major problem here is the fact that the gift made the OP look like he couldn't have appreciated his own child more than someone else did. The mind of that child at such infant age isn't well developed enough to understand the consequential damages that can happen. It's then up to the parent to show the child that parental love is much more valuable than the PS4 itself! |
I thought this happened in Iju Ishaga ![]() |
When will all these stop? |
The rate of child abduction in some of these Asian countries is overwhelming. Glad to see the family reunited again! |

I'm so happy about this... This has been a well fought battle for justice for a long time. |

How does an average increase of about 18% translate to 50% in the price of bread ![]() |
It's quite simple... Politics There are certain rules governing politics that when it is introduced into a whole new game where politics isn't required, destruction follows! The NBA shouldn't have invited El Rufai to their AGM in the first place knowing fully well that he was guilty of Human Rights violations... The question then boils down to how they conduct processes that eventually lead to invitation? The decision to correct this sole error angered the Northern Muslims and they are currently using Malami as a Co-conspirator against the NBA because they feel an injury to one is an injury to all. What best way to fight the NBA than to cut off the hands that feed them! The very first step towards crumbling the structure of the NBA while giving room for an informal NNBA to be functional. Such selfish motives would not just affect the NBA alone, but would take a toll on judicial processes at large! Let us all not forget that this same Malami faced scrutiny Last year when he was scheduled to appear before a disciplinary panel of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee to face the petitioners seeking the stripping of his Senior Advocate of Nigeria rank for alleged misconduct. |

olasaad:The people of Okun never migrated from Kwara... Historical account has it that they migrated from Ile Ife. Nobody is bringing Kwara into anything as you referred, i am only stating the obvious fact which is that the okun people need all the help they can get to be successfully ceded to the south west else, nothing worthwhile will happen. |
Even though their concerns are genuine, it is practically impossible to cede them to the south west based on geographical segregation because they represent just a chunk of Kogi's landmass that shares land border with Edo, Enugu and Benue. Their goal can only be achieved with equal cooperation from Kwara state and Kogi as a whole. They all must speak in unison else, nothing worthwhile will be done. |
Public institutions and in depth corruption are close relatives. I served at the bursary unit of a reputable tertiary institution in the south east and I can categorically tell you that the claims in the post made by the OP are very true. Not to talk of tertiary institutions with less popularity, total reliance on state allocation and no feasible IGR. Little wonder how such expenditure passed through internal audit without any red flag being raised. The answer is that many of this institutions don't enforce principles of accountability and transparency... Therefore both the bursary unit and internal audit have been compromised. The only form of external audit that is being done in this institutions is when they go for budget appraisal and defense at the state house of assembly or Ministry of Education. Guess what... They are birds of the same feather. There is a growing need in the public space that can only be met by Men and Women of Integrity! |
Acts 2:19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke; The End is Near!!! Matthew 16:2-3 He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. |
Vieve021:Aha... Thanks for the clarification on the competence level tho. However, there is virtually nothing you can say to convince me that this is not a glorified Ponzi scheme. Thank You! |
