I have followed the alignment and realignment of the politicians in the past few months in preparation for 2027 election with keen interest. I have followed keenly for few reasons;

1. To see who will play a stateman and bring oppositions together to have a united front for 2027 election.
2. I also assumed that discussion has been held in the room which will make all opposition see that things are now different and we should act in a different way
3. I was also thinking that the fact that they have all seen how rulling party is using willing tool among opposition to damage opposition to be more determined and focus on the task ahead, but that didn't happened

The person of Peter Obi has not changed, He didnt believe in money politics and he has said it over and over.
Atiku also fail to understand the time and season, this does not make him a stateman. It is the time of the south and u are struggling to present yourself which was the reason your former house crashed. You put a coalition together just for a selfish agenda, it will not work
There is no region that can make themselves a president of this nation, there must be handshake across the Niger for a region to emerge. Obi got the message after 2023 election and started working to actualize is mission.
For those who said Atiku built the coalition, i dont think this is totally correct, El-rufai started it with SDP and fire erupted their and at a point they started pulling themselves together having meeting upon meeting. Yes, Obi joined late officially, but that is not to say he was not with them from onset. I am not an insider, am saying this from what i watched on TV and some video that surfaced online.
If Atiku had allowed the South to slug it out within themselves, am sure Obi will not leave. They also dont want direct primary, they are pulling concensus arrangement to arrive at Atiku, and you think the south will be foolish to cut short their eight years. Will any strong southern candidate try to contest when it is the time for the North? you know the answer.
Atiku killed the coalition, and Obi and his people has left to pursue their dreams elsewhere. Whether they will succeed or not is another thing. But they have escaped Atiku's trap.

A good leader should be able to win without getting into the ring, if your team win you have won, but because it is for a selfish reasons, there is no genuine team, it is about what my money can do.

Leason will be learnt towards 2027, upcoming politicians will have what to study for future.

I also wish Kwankanso will understand the time and be patience enough to work with Obi and actualize 2027 because if it happens, then after 4 years their is no need for any discussion other than for him to mount the leadership if they lead well.

I am worried about the state of the nation, I am worried how Nigeria has been polarized with tribal sentiment. Honestly there is hunger in the land, honestly the policy of this government has failed and will continue to fail unless there is a change in the approach.

I don't support protest anyway and I will tell you my reason: the first reason is that the country has been divided along ethnic and religious sentiments. No protest will work this days, politicians have effectively crafted that division since the days of Buhari and this administration is effectively using that tool now. The north is calling for a protest but I can assure you that it will partially take place in their region only. I don't see southwest doing any protest, not because there is no hunger in southwest or insecurity, but the sentiment is the president is our son.

The North would have gotten support if they had join voices that were complaining about Buhari then, but they were silent and when election came, it was decided in the north, so they were also right to protest because they enthroned this government and not the south.

If those calling for this protest can listen to my advice, I would have suggested that we all wait to another election and have a revolution through the ballot. Reason is this ladies and gentlemen, the protest will likely take some blood and I don't think we want that.

And to the North, we will not cut short the tenor of the southern presidency for any reason, if you guys want a change, then you will support another southern president for the second term that is the only way we can take you people serious. It has become obvious now that no region can single handedly install a president in Nigeria.

Fellow country men and women, whatever decision that you choose pls make it peaceful, some of us earn daily pay, so if economic activities is disrupted, you would have added to our hunger.

Stay safe, stay calm, 2027 will soon be here, I know may are dying of hunger, yes but that was the reason people were screaming that election has consequences. Definitely hunger will likely kill more, but for some of us that will make it to 2027, we will be able to make the right choice.

There is no need advising the president anymore, it is becoming obvious that they quarrel with anyone who has different view to what they are doing. So if I want to advise Nigerians, I will say just be ticking your Calender while drinking water or whatever you could find on your table. We are in it together.

Should we sail through this predicament we found ourselves as a nation, we need to seriously work on our leadership recruitment process in Nigeria.

I use to think anyone can lead this country, but with what is happening with this administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I have come to realize that whoever should govern any state or Nigeria as a whole should be scrutinized through debate. Not just one debate, it has to be at least 3 debate.

I have come to realize that President Tinubu is doing try and error and that is why we are where we are at this moment. Let me point out 3 things that he has venture into and he is on his way back to what we were doing before.

1. Removal of subsidy: yes Buhari did it. President Tinubu could have suspended it until he has fashion out a template at which it will work and not throw the country into confusion. The president banking on Dangote refinery and Portharcourt refinery which they promised will commence operation in December, but this is the end of February and we are approaching March already. And because this has failed, we are now paying double of what subsidy was during Buhari administration.

2. You floated naira when you knew that Buhari have sold crude in advance and pocketed the earning, there is no forex to rely on. While at that you started arresting and chasing BDC operator and dollar begin to approach 2k and he made a u-turn and began to supply the same BDC the forex u accused them of speculating.

3. Oransanye report
When you have caused chaos, you went to bring a document of 12 years old that might not meet the reality of today to implement and some people will be out of job despite crying that their take home is not enough. But now they will not have job again.

We can't continue to deceive ourselves at this juncture, our recruitment process for leadership is poor. Someone openly said "na statistic we go chop" and he was hailed. How can you plan without statistic.

What Nigerians is praying for now is if Tinubu can take things back to Buhari era at least before the 4yrs runs out, which I doubt it.

I hope we have learnt enough and I hope that the off season elections that are coming will reflect this. Nothing says ADC cannot win election, it must not be PDP and APC only, that is why we have multi-party system of democracy here in Nigeria.

Dear compatriots,
This platform gave us opportunity to interact, it gives us opportunity for national discuss, one of the things that bring me to nairaland.com everyday is to read people's view on trending issues. Suddenly the platform changed and people began to attack each other and it degenerated to ethnic bashing.

Unfortunately, Nairaland.com leadership were making money through it and there was no need to stop it. Fast forward 2023 election came and it became uncontrollable. Recently there was a trend calling Government of Lagos state to look into a road in Ogba area of Lagos state and the next thing that came from the first to comment was to jump straight to Anambra State and begin to compare roads. And the next thing ethnic bashing started. And I know that Government who doesn't want to deliver in their duties will be happy for some of the ethnic bashing that happens here because it will make sure that we dont have a voice and once that happens, you can't checkmate the Government.

I have closed some interesting thread after first two comments because I have seen where they are going. Tribalism has eaten deep into us in Nairaland.com and there is need to tame it right now, if not our national discuss will be zero. It is getting to a place where no matter how good the topic of the discussion, the first thing we do is to look at the ethnic of the speaker and pass judgement.

Dear compatriots, we are not helping this country, our tribalism and ethnic bigotry is only here and on the street. Go to National Assembly, they are united, why? Because they must be united to loot our treasury, there must be unity for fraud to take place. Politicians understand this, they also understand the needs to cause disunity among us to keep us out of what is going on in the treasury.

There is need to put a full stop to whatever we are enjoyin in the tribal bigotry and ethnic bashing that happened on every thread here. 2024 will be good for us only if we can hold our politicians accountable. Sharing of rice and some thousands of Naira will not lift us out of poverty. People need to get jobs to be able to earn a living on their own.

Poverty doesn't know tribe, insecurity doesn’t recognized party members. So let's all hands be on desk to make all tribe in Nigeria count, either major or minor tribe, Nigeria comes first. I was going out one day at Odogunyan in Ikorodu, Lagos state and an Hausa guy hawking yam with wheel barrow by the road side, the guy pause to take some rest before continuing his trekking. A Kekenapep guy ran into the wheelbarrow while trying to reverse and the next thing the Keke guy came down and started slapping the guy and before u know it they are coming in numbers to beat the guy up. Not really that the mob saw what happened, that was not their main problem, their problem was this is our tribe against another tribe. It took intervention of myself and some other people that were watching to rescue the guy. I told the Keke guy that you were at fault, you were reversing and u did not see your back and you ran into his wheelbarrow. And the mob disappeared. I am not from any of the two tribe fighting anyway but am a Nigerian and they are both brother to me.

Nigeria will be great, let's kill bigotry and tribalism. I should be able to stay anywhere is Nigeria. I should be able to practice any religion in Nigeria. We can continue to deceive ourselves, our politicians practice all religions in the country. If you doubt me watch them during election and you will know what am saying.

Your religion is not better than other sir/ma, your tribe is not superior to another. Let's be fair to each other. Let love lead.

some of us just read posts here and move on, i would have decide not to respond to this but it is important that i do. If anyone is sick, i advice the person go to hospital, but if medically there is no solution then, spiritually seek help. I was at a birthday yesterday, the woman was brought back from General Hospital after many months they could not detect what was wrong with her, at a point she was not hearing again. right in her house, we prayed, it took us about 7 days, each day there was improvement until she fully recovered and after 2 weeks she got back to her shop.

So, pls, church is not the reason people are committing suicide, even if it takes long for the healing to come and u keep believing it will come.
dont discourage people on social media. Church is not Hospital, what we handle in church are the cases that looks hopeless. whoever is sick, pls go to the hospital. but if its not working out seek supernatural intervention

Let me make it brief. I have a younger brother who just started his life, he just rented his first apartment last year, and immediately he got the apartment, the first thing was a girl who we don't know her family started staying with him.

I told him if you want to marry pls make it legal and not living with someone you dont know her parent.

Fast forward, the lady became pregnant and I told him since it has happened and I don't encourage abortion, pls find a way to at least go and collect the list of what is needed, up till now that did not happen.

December last year he went to bail the lady in police station because she stabbed a neighbor. Well I went to their place and talked to the lady, she promised not to do that again. February this year she delivered a girl and because my younger brother was broke then, I and one of my other younger brother rallied round to assist him and his wife. We took care of the hospital bill and we thought since they were having their first baby, there would be a need for someone who is experience to help them out for one or two weeks.

We I sent money to my mother to come and help them, the old woman came with all the food stuff she could arrange from village. The next day the lady started misbehaving, and mama didn't disclose all that was happening to me, she just wanted peace to reign.

A day to the day of naming, myself and one of my brother went to market to arrange all that is needed for the naming, before we came back my other sisters had arrived so they did the cooking. On the day of naming, it took thy kindom come before they could plead with her to bring the baby for naming. Her grievance was that why should we cook for her baby naming without informing her. Honestly all this was made known to me after the party.

We man aged her and let things go. I was thinking that we will have at least one of her relative during the naming and nobody came. A day after the naming she started starving our mother and mama called that I should come and pick her, so I was shocked. Getting there mama narrated all that has been happening withing her 4 days stay at my younger brother place, and the lady did not say anything after mama talked, so I took the old woman to my place, neither my younger brother or his wife apologize.

The old woman left back to village.

Now the lady's mother is threatening that she did not give us her daughter for marriage and if anything happen she will not take it likely, our elders also said they will not follow my brother to go for the lady. And my brother is the only one in the marriage. No family concent.

How or where can I report this so that in case so that the parent of the lady and a representative of my family can have an undertaking that we don't have a marriage in between us.

since electoral law permits INEC to review itself and the IREV is almost done, can we now expect INEC to seat again and review what they announced and the result that is coming from polling unit that has been uploaded on IREV. Because with some of the result that we have on the IREV which looks authentic to me, the result of this election need to be review.

I never knew that the IREV was well designed like this, why can't INEC partner with good network provider to have the result uploaded in real time? also why should they go ahead to announce result when they are struggling with their sure source of result from polling unit which is IREV? INEC knew that result is always manipulated from collation centre and am sure that they develop this IREV to rescue the situation.

I think there is no better time to start doing the right thing than now. call the party representative together and, collate the result from IREV again, it will not stop the national activity, even if your announced winner emerge again, no problem but it will give credibility to the electoral umpire. Also if there is any malpractices, trace it to those who presided over the collation at the local and state level and let them be prosecuted.

The money we spend on election is too much to have this type of manipulation, i just went through Akwa-Ibom on iREV, the results doesnt look like what INEC announced. Am not raising alarm but there is need for us to do the right thing.

No body will call for unnecessary revolution if we are sure that we can correct our mistake in four years through election. There is no need to subvert the will of the people. The only way to national development is through justice, peace and progress.

To Atiku Abubarka, you had the opportunity to make the Nigerian electoral system good with your boss obasanjo but you people did not, now you are crying foul, those who graduated from the school of corruption that you and Obasanjo created are now more perfect than you, so you should be happy that some people are sustaining your legacy. Obasanjo can continue to write letters, he will be reminded that he spent 8 years and could not give us a good electoral system that could make the voice of people be heard.

Also to PDP, the G5 governors, money cannot buy unity. And no one go to war with a divided troop. Another thing is that how do you 5hink that a Notherner will handover to another Notherner? It is not going to happen, not now or in the nearest future will it happen in Nigeria.

To the winner, opportunity has come to you today, will you use it to rewrite all the wrongs or will it be the same winner takes all game. I have read different opinion since yesterday towards Peter Obi's interview where is said he will deal with bandits and criminals decisively, while he also said he will dialogue with agitators.

My surprise is people were quick to bring IPOB, and I asked is it only IPOB that is agitating? What of the Oduduwa nation championed by the likes of Igboho and prof. Akinloye? The truth is every region in Nigeria is agitating. I have watch video on YouTube where someone is complaining that there is need for Hausas to separate from Fulanis.

I think if we have a leader that can bring people together, I bet u the south east situation will not be what it is today. If PMB had spent 3 days in south east bringing every agitators and south east leaders to round table to listen to there grievances even if he would not mean it from his heart, there would have been rays of hope, but what did you have , he called them a dot.

North is gulping trillions of naira every budget because s some people's agitation was not taken care off when it matters most.

So when Obi said dialogue, I think that should be the first thing that should be done across the 6 geo-political zone in Nigeria to calm nerves and bring hope to the people. Nigerians want to be reassured, Nigerians want to see hope in this nation.

PMB is rulling this nation like a conquered territories which is making everyone to agitate, so if anyone coming will not reassured people that they will have a fair share of this nation, then we will continue to use our money that should be for development to be buying bullets to kill our people.

Those who think bandit should be dialogue with, I asked what is there agitation? The kidnappers arrested in Abuja also should be dialogue with? Or the likes of turji in zamfara that is wrecking havoc for no reason should also be dialogue with? Common, let's leave politics aside and talk the issues that is affecting us together.
