If there's something I have learned in 2020, this is it. People make communities and communities are strong forces. Just look around you. If we can assemble for a common purpose and contribute our efforts to building a community that in turn builds things that are valuable for society. You will never lack.

Fashion / Re: Google Shows Agbani Darego As ‘Ugliest Miss World'. Nigerians Angry by motivate555: 9:36am On Oct 03, 2020
A lot of people don't understand this.

WoundedLamb:
Someone must have started but if only the reactors knew their reaction would only ensure the Google search result stays consistent. They keep using her name and the expression "ugliest miss world" together. Even the bloggers and news channels that try to milk the situation dry keep fueling it with their headlines. Now when you Google that question, you get something like "Nigerians react as Google search shows Agbani Darego as ....". OP, even your thread is a factor here.

This is why Chinese bots are 'busy' feeding the internet with their cooked up version of the covid-19 story (second pic).

God be praised! We will definitely overcome this. A lot of things will change though. Some people will be made billionaires out of this and some people will be poor. We pray that we will come out of this period stronger.

Webmasters / Re: 5 Reasons Why You Have Failed Or Will Fail Woefully At Blogging. by motivate555: 5:06pm On Apr 16, 2020
I agree with you, the truth is failure is part of the process also. That you failed today and tomorrow, doesn't necessarily mean that you will fail the day after. Understanding why one failed is important to ensure success in the next attempt.

chatinent:
As an expert blogger, I think the predominant factors that may kill a blog is the dearth of time and experience. No matter what they offer to host your site, if you have no blogging or programming experiences, you are bound to fail.

Why did you fail at blogging? Comment below
Webmasters / 5 Reasons Why You Have Failed Or Will Fail Woefully At Blogging. by motivate555: 4:44pm On Apr 16, 2020
You probably were thinking that you would be the next Linda Ikeji or Seun Osewa when you started and so you were very gingered to just start something online because you wanted to make quick money yeah? So sorry, even though you might have made peanuts, you still failed and not only did you fail, you failed woefully.

If you are having the thoughts of starting a blog and you do these same things you will fail woefully too...

Here is why you failed or will fail;

1. You failed because you thought blogging was very easy - You probably did not even know what a domain name was, but you started researching and found out that you can actually buy a domain name and then hosting and you will become successful by putting up articles probably every day. Then you stopped researching and went ahead to buy a domain name and hosting and probably googled "How to Start a Blog" and ended there.

2. You failed because you weren't really passionate about writing. For you, it was all about the money, and so you figured that the time you were putting in wasn't necessarily commensurate to the amount you were getting and you are like damn, this isn't working out! I am moving on to the next thing.

3. You failed because all you had was passion, nothing more. Passion is good, but it takes more than passion to be successful at blogging especially if it is going to be a source of income for you.

4. You failed because you are doing so much and not niched down to specific content. You are trying to do everything and at the end of the day you will not achieve so much.

5. You failed because you did not carry out a simple task. Keyword research! to help you understand your audience problem and know the kind of content you should create to help them solve it so you can become an authority and cash out.

Blogging is still very lucrative, but you need to achieve traction in the shortest amount of time with minimal effort, the key is to spend most of the time sharpening the axe so you will spend less time cutting the tree.

Yes. Google Ads Keyword Planner is a Web Application. They also have a mobile app version, but it isn't as robust as their web application. It is designed for advertisers using their platforms to advertise (Google Ads) but, SEO professionals utilize it to do keyword research as it shows the monthly search volume (estimates) of certain keywords, CPC, competition, forecasts and more ~ Zigarmy

southniyikaye:
aside ahrefs, can't we get an entirely free niche validation?

And Google keyword planner, is it an APP?
Cos you just mentioned it you didn't explain it

Sad and Crazy.

Let's see anyway. Afterall the Israelites were allowed to go after the plague...

AreaFada2:

I hope it does change. That mankind can see that we are after all just human.

Sadly Africa is not ready to change. They still won't build enough hospitals or equip existing ones.

If Covid wasn't ravaging the West and our elite could jet off with their families abroad, most won't bother.

But as they can see, not every time looted money can open Western doors to you.

Hopefully Covid-19 doesn't become a seasonal occurrence every winter like common flu.

This is for the public good. It becomes imperative to disclose in this case. Obviously the state does not have means of getting to know the people that she has been in contact with. Hence the reason for the disclosure. So that people who she has been in contact with can isolate themselves.
