Discountsempai: Then those born again christians have gotten it wrong.
Many of us don't think we are moral because we are born again. LIke the alcoholic who has stopped drinking alcohol 30 years ago still calls himself an alcoholic, we ...I myself...think I am a sinner who needs God's help to live a life that pleases him, not a life that makes people think I am a moral or good person. Look at Nigerian Christian doctrines I don't cheat because I am born again I don't steal because God saved me I don't tell lies because I am born again I don't fornicate because I am born again. I became rich because I am born again The funniest stuff is that you don't need to be born again to have principles as a human being or to be rich |

Discountsempai: The day you realize that whatever the belief system, some people can be wrong....
Most atheists are moral people. Yet it was an atheist called Stalin that sent millions to the GULAG...some in very cold conditions....to die because paranoia.
Even pastors say crap sometimes. LIke pastor david. Hopefully he will correct himself someday, but if not...na his own bussyness. At the end Paul did say that we had to crosscheck what pasta says with what the bible says. Being born again and having moral principles are 2 different things Here in Nigeria, many Nigeria only believe that they can only be moral because they are born again They don't understand the concept that you can be moral without being a Christian or being religious at all. |

It is easy to start a religious revolution with the poor than the rich.
The rich were comfortable, so anything Jesus preach will be a joke to them.
Most of Jesus Christ teachings were against the rich, so how do you expect the rich to be his followers if he was always attacking them.
It was easier for Jesus Christ to convert poor people because they were looking for hope and a Messiah.
If you noticed, all the people he feed were poor people
Majority of the people he healed were poor
The marriage where he turned water into wine was a poor marriage.
His target group was the poor, they were easy to access and easily impressed by his mannerism than the rich.
the rich and elite saw him as a threat to their power because he controls and influences lot of poor people they have left to starved.
They killed Jesus because of his influence on poor people because they know he could tell the poor people to fight the government and they will obey. |

Do you think anyone will listen to this peller abi pellet outside the shores of this country. Does he even sound intelligible to begin with?
You guys spend all your time hating rather than learning. There are people that listen to them outside Nigeria Even the top content creators in the world recognize them. The pellet guy put in the hard work, so stop hating |

lacasera14: Peller and Portable are prime examples of grace. I don't understand what they're actually doing, why people think they're funny, or the kind of content they dish out to make it to fame and stay relevant, but they're just making it to the spotlight and cashing out. I tried listening to Portable and Peller on two different occasions to at least make sense of why they're popular and I slept after the first two minutes. But they're popular. Is it that Nigeria is too populous that millions of jobless people will celebrate anything they find online or may be I should stick to my idea of grace. It has nothing to do with grace. Those guys put in the work and they build a community. Peller and portable have a target group which are people from the ghetto of which majority of Nigerians come from. Both also create content everyday of which millions of Nigerians can relate with. You might not relate with both of their content but there are millions of Nigerians that do. People like and share their content and they get more popular. |

How much Netflix dey give Funke Akindele,Kunle Afolayan and other established and prolific filmmakers/actors. You guys miss something Peller and Jarvis control lot of young people who are potential movie goers. You guys just blab without understanding marketing and also preparing the future generations for cinema watching Netflix are investing in the future which in return will benefit all potential movie makers to make money on their movies This is just the same tactics they use in the US |
Food › Re: Price Of 50cl Coke In Canada Vs Nigeria by motymop: 8:40am On May 17, 2025 |
There are many reasons why coke is expensive in some countries and why they are cheaper in another and also why they taste differently.
Why are they expensive. Production cost, tax and also logistics cost( moving them from one place to another) one important stuff is foreign exchange fluctuation when importing the base ingredients.
A 50cl coke cost around 300 naira in Canada like you write down 2.49( 400 naira)
It is obvious that cost of production will be higher in Canada than in Nigeria, wages are also lower in Nigeria.
Also the only reason coke taste differently in Canada and Nigeria is simple. Most times, they make sure to adapt to the local taste.
The base ingredients are the same but they also try to adapt to our loca taste in terms of sweetness. Making it too sweet here in Nigeria might make them lose sales while in another country if it is not sweet they won't buy it.
It is the same way KFC in New York will have different taste from the one in Japan. |

Magnetic010: I really do not like commenting in topics like this because most times they make no single sense....That $2.49 is technically just 2 unit of their currency..can 2 units of nigerian currency buy you that anywhere in Nigeria or Canada? Berankis: But in all honesty, I have seen a few videos like this, involving Nigerian guys with "Minors". My question is, if the meeting was online, how was the guy supposed to know the girl is underaged? Because, to me, this really looks like a setup. You claim "Minors" but Minors aren't allowed on dating or adult sites. At least, you would have given consent that you are 18 or above before registering your account. The most insane part of it is that, these guys can't even put up a good defense for themselves, they immediately start fidgeting and talking stupidly. How are you supposed to know she is a minor? Minors aren't allowed on dating sites, except you went for her physically or privately online. You are right. This people are being setup by a group of anti immigrants white nationalist organization that hate blacks. The guy should get a good lawyer What is a minor doing in a dating site when the terms and agreements of the site says 18 years old. I am not putting up excuses for the guy but I have seen a pattern in these videos. This group are known to honey pot immigrants unfortunately these guys fall the trap If this guy was not shaking and act smart, he would have defended himself. These groups are taking advantage of people who are ignorant of the law |

The lesson I learnt is simple.
Always have evidence and proof of any dirty deal in the corporate world even if you are involved, it is your leverage.
If a boss is threatening you, dig hard to find dirty stuff on them and present your facts finding
Silence the boss with proof until they start begging
Be ruthless, revenge is always sweet.
Always have leverage, it is a game of power |

Romance › Re: My 4million Please Help!!! by motymop: 6:23pm On May 02, 2025 |
Meerahbel: 🚐 Option 1: Buy a Mini Bus and Drive Pros:
Daily/weekly income stream.
Potentially higher return than passive investments if you manage it well.
You have more control.
Cons:
High operational risk: repairs, fuel, accidents, inconsistent revenue.
Time and energy required if you’re the driver.
Regulatory/ticketing issues in some areas.
Depreciating asset.
Recommended only if:
You have solid knowledge of the transport business.
You’ve done cost vs. income analysis (e.g. average daily earnings minus fuel/maintenance).
You’re ready for active management (or have a trusted driver with accountability).
📈 Option 2: Treasury Bills Pros:
Very safe (government-backed).
Fixed, guaranteed return.
Great for capital preservation.
Short-term options (e.g. 91, 182, 364 days).
Cons:
Low return (typically around 10–13% annually).
No early access without penalties.
Doesn't beat inflation significantly.
Recommended if:
You want zero risk.
You’re saving for a near-term goal.
You’re okay with modest returns and just want your money safe.
💼 Option 3: Mutual Funds Pros:
Better potential returns than T-bills (especially equity/balanced funds).
Diversified portfolio (bonds, stocks, etc.).
Managed by professionals.
Liquidity (can cash out with little delay).
Cons:
Moderate risk (market fluctuations).
Returns not guaranteed (depends on fund type).
Recommended if:
You want a balance between safety and growth.
You're okay with medium risk and don’t need daily cash flow.
You’re looking to grow your money over time.
🚨 Final Advice (based on your tone and urgency): If you urgently need income and have business experience, the mini bus could work—but only with a clear plan and backup savings for risk.
If you're not sure, go with a split strategy: ₦2M in Treasury bills or mutual funds (safety/growth) ₦2M saved while you research/test the bus idea or another business
Never tie up 100% of your funds in one risky venture without backup. This one use chatgpt |
