Ojukwu is a name that rings a bell when it comes to Biafra and Nigerian history. He is heralded as the veteran who spearheaded the attempted secession of the Igbo people. Over 2 million Igbos under 30 months of the Biafra/Nigerian civil war of the 1960s were killed.
Today where is biafra as a country?
Never the less,there is no doubt that Ojukwu was a Biafra patriot and a warrior of great courage. He gave his all to the war, surviving by the whiskers.However, like we all humans, we have our flaws, and history is recorded so that mistakes of the past are not repeated.
I don't see the need and use of this Operation python dance II, IPOBS are not threat. They are just bunch of miscreant who need Education. Governors of the South-East should enlighten the youths and make them know that there is nothing like Biafra today. People should not be using Biafra as a tool for causing confusion and defrauding uninformed people. They do not deserve this attention they are getting. Instead of them to be protesting for employment, roads, water and other amenities that are lacking in the zone. If they are agitating for these things, they should not block roads and burn police station or kill their fellow Nigerians. They should talk to the government,senators,rep,chairman etc of the states in the South-East, not the Federal Government.
The Federal Government should withdraw the soldiers from the East and let the police handle the situation. IPOBS are not threat, they should wage war against these threat facing us which are BH,illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, unfair competition, communitarianism, delinquency etc.
And lastly, If Ipobs have made up their minds that they want to die for this struggle, I want them to remember that, powerful people and those pushing them don't want peace because they live off war.

The only thing that will change is the mindset of Nigerians I.e the president is alive. Beside there will be nothing like acting president again. That's the only thing I think will change.

Now that the President is back after spending more than 100 days in London receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. We are all happy to see the president, but what exactly will his presence change?

The northern youths must be warned and told in very clear terms. This is not 1966. Any pogrom or slaughter of Igbos in the north will lead to a swift, immediate and devastating retaliation throughout the south.
Those that gave the Igbo quit notice in the north are playing with fire and that fire will consumme them. They are opening the gates of hell and they will enter that gate.

I urge the core Muslim northern elders and leaders to call their youths to order before they spark off a series of events and a crisis that may not only lead to a second civil war but will also lead to the end of Nigeria.

An Eastern group, Igbo Youth Movement, IYM, has said that Ndigbo are not afraid of war, which is a reply it has given to an eviction threat by a northern youth group ordering all Igbos to leave the north in three months or face physical attacks.
A statement allegedly issued by the Eastern groups founder, Evang. Elliot Ugochukwu-Uko, it described the eviction order by the Coalition of Northern Youths, CNY, as “childish,” stressing that people of the South East are not afraid of war.
Evangelis Ugochukwu noted that rather than issue such threat, the group should write to the National Assembly and other world body to “urgently” conduct referendum so as to secure the future of the country.
“The statement from a hitherto unknown northern group is primed to deliver a message to the whole world that some people prefer bloodshed to peaceful restructuring of Nigeria.
“The non-existent group merely represents an attempt by the sectional security apparatchiks to intimidate the struggle to reconstruct Nigeria, in their blind and unintelligent attempt to sustain the clearly unworkable status quo.
“If they were serious, they would have addressed the FG to grant Biafra freedom to secede, but they are childishly targeting Igbo property in the North, without advancing total complete split of the country.
“Igbo property in the North have always been used to blackmailing our people, while the mindless oppression continues. We therefore plead with this unknown group to write to the National Assembly, northern leaders and the United Nations, to as a matter of urgency, grant a referendum on the future of Nigeria. That way, everybody will take them serious.
“Targeting our properties in the North do not frighten anybody, we are used to that. We beg them to amend their childish statement to demand for an early referendum. That would make more sense. Our people are living in hell already. We are not scared of war mongering, Referendum is the way to go.”
