Mindlog: Once you get back the custody of the children, please do create another thread to share your journey in getting them back...the police, government offices you had to go to, etc. This would motivate parents whose spouses/partners deceitfully took away the child/children between them to get back custody. Definitely , by the special grace of God.... amen |

So d officsr said dat with d way he is answering them he is going to be a court issue ooo. But av gotten a petition from DV unit in Alausa to be take to d lagos commissioner of police which av submitted and it has been approved as at 29th... d case is going to be handled at their gender desk. And d woman their av all assures me of getting my kids back. Probably they will call me after d holiday....... thanks everyone for their positive contributions and as for d naysayers............ rickpat: ...you see...it's even co-parenting you want...that's okay...at age 3 and 5years they really need their mum..just take it easy and go through the right channel...you will get what you want...the kids are quite young.. co-parenting is a good idea as well...the matter is easier since you two were not legally married ( hence you won't go through any divorce process)..so it's a little easier since it's just parenting of the kids you are going for...I wish you the best God almighty will bless u for ur consistent positive advice.. u are 1 out of d people here who really keep me going... ur rightfully possessions won't be taken away from u. ... amen WHAT GET U HERE MAY NOT GET U BEYOND...... rickpat: what's your argument about please?... common-law is the term for people living together without being legally married...I don't really get what your issue is at all...do you think in court the judge would be interested in whether they are married or not?...the argument would be on how the kids would be taken care of... whether sole custody (either the man or the woman) or co-parenting...I don't get you though Thanks ... am not depriving him of having access to d kids, but he just showed world dat he is not to be trusted with the kids. D children spends much and their better time with me cos he is a cso and always on d field working. He forcefully took d kids from me and he his making decisions for them without me.. he is trying to get dem a nanny when have vehemently stated am not parting with d kids. Is isn't influent... and r... like u guys are thinking to be able to fight me... none of us is going to take sole responsibility of d kids but joint one cos am sure they are his kids. |

Thanks for all d positive advices, and am sure with d rate of positive advices av gotten am good to gooo. To some of u saying i should collect 400k and move on... am worth more Dan dat ... and am fighting for my kids. What prompted dis actions was dat afterva quite introspection about my years in his house and d numerous domestic violence av suffered i called it quit. Reasons for his actions. I am a Baker and caterer, i sells and am into interior decorations etc. He gave me 400k for business in 2019 for those saying i wasn't saying d truth. My children school fees per term is 40k and 36k. So av calculated my self before deciding dat a new beginning most commence in my life before am officially 30years by September. Mind u i am ready to decline his child support in court for d world to no am not interested in d child support but utmost love for my beautiful kids. Thanks to everyone. |

Mindlog: There is nothing simple in getting paid off in exchange for not being actively in the lives of the children she shares with him and expectedly the man would make sure he drills it into the children' minds that their mother collected money (sold them off), so she can move on with her life....that would create lifelong hatred in their hearts.
She should go legal and let the law assign she and the kids' father, responsibilities of each parent. how custody would shape up for the best interest of the children. Thank u sir.... exchange my kids for money, no matter d price.... the children are already saying they don't miss me whenever i call dem. Just 5days of staying with him niyen ooooo |

rickpat: go to federal Secretariat in your state of residence..ask of legal aid council office...if you are not okay with a lawyer from there...then go to welfare...if you ain't okay with welfare...then get a private lawyer(usually more expensive)...this case with be duly treated...he can't forcefully gain sole custody if the kids without getting it from a court Sir u are really on point cos dis are d advices am getting offline.... dat if he had a valid point to take d kids he should has come legally But am going to d O P D at western Avenue now sir. |

Family › Re: The Father Of My 2 Kids Took Them Away From Me Unlawfully, Deceitfully by Movingon5(op): 8:23am On Apr 25, 2022 |
rickpat: the kids belongs to the both of you...so none of you have a right to sole custody except it is given BY A COURT OF LAW...it's even easier since you too ain't married(it's common law relationship you had)...so presently the man is wrong...he can't forcefully take those kids...get a lawyer and serve him the necessary papers(if you have the resources)...it's only the court that has the right to give sole custody to any parent...MIND YOU THE GOVERNMENT HAS A STAKE IN THOSE KIDS AS WELL...so get a lawyer...but if you can't file a lawsuit then I'm sorry cus you will be at the mercy of the man and he will be taking all the decisions...use the law... nothing like any intimidation from them once the case in in court...if it gets too messy file for an EPO(emergency protection order) against the man...all you need it's resources and the law...good luck .... Thank u sir, am finacially stable to take care of them D kids are minors and am capable to take care of them... He categorically stated dat he tricked me to kogi state. So he he his no longer to be trusted with d kids.... D kids are supposed to be in school today, he even bundles me out and i av fact against him he his no better person for d kids. |

Pls sirs and mas am not really in my right frame of mind.......
We cohabited for 7years and have suffered several domestic abuse so I decided to quit this January. So he left the house and took all the amenities the kids are enjoying since February...
So this, easter he called to tell the kids to come do easter with him in his village.. Getting to Kogi state, he sent me house and harrassed me with security officials. So he has apparently taken the kids from me and trying to take them to another state.
He has made attempts to buy the children from me by offering me 400k but I said noooo. He is a Deputy retired commissioner of police and ex director of EFCC and currently working in Dangote as their cso.
The kids here are minors age 3 and 5years.... where can I get justice and the authorities to report to. The kids are supposed to be in school today. He is 66years and am 30years.
Pls elders on family issues help me and how to get the custody of my kids back cos am ready to be taking care of them without his contribution. Am fighting for the kids becos of the motherly love I have for them not because of child support fee etc.
Am not married to him legally or traditionally...... we cohabited for 7years. And am his 4th wife and that is how he has been collecting the kids from his wives. He has a brother he puts in EFCC and they all threaten me to fight me cos they have the money to spend... |

ahnie: The Nigerian men I know are authoritarians, rude, with pride like python spread.
I think most of them are raised to look down on women and they believe they can shove anything down our throats.
I have seen a man that flung his wife from his car, threw her things out, shut the car door, then sped off....now tell me,which sensible husband does that?
See most things you Nigerian men failed to get is....no woman likes to be lord over rudely. Treat a woman well, and she would go miles for you just to please you.
You treat me bad,and you expect me to be docile n submissive, mba I go bite you. Input in,output out. Exactly.... dat what am going through now.... will find time to put my story here... am married/cohabiting (he refuses to come pay my dowry since 2015 QC been living with him)to a man 36 years older Dan me. Av been through alot from domestic abuses and assaults from him and his children brothers etc |
