No one is talking about Payne’s work rate
She’s a gem. Every defender and midfielder that started today actually deserve their place for the next match, for the front 3 only Ajibade and Oshoala have a cemented spot. Kanu did well by scoring but definitely has a lot to work on. Hope halimatu’s injury isn’t serious sha. Anyone have a idea how well Echegini can play the no 10 role, so Payne can move to the wings and perform more magic

No we have to pull out my best squad possible. Remember teams playing for pride at the last stages can be quite dangerous. I think we can still technically be knocked out of the groups if australia punish canada.. We have to beat that defensively notorious ireland well.
Great point, I fear European teams the most, they are always so clinical no mater how small they are

Imuran and Alozie as wingback so we can provide crosses throughout. Oparanozie starts cos cross and nod only effective that way. But one thing is sha certain. Ajibade abd Ayinde are starting next game. So this won't work.
Bro, spent last night analyzing Australia’s matches this year and I can confidently say that cross and nod will not work against them (might only work for them against us although they even aren’t so good at scoring it but don’t count them out). If we want to beat the Aussies or get a result, we’ll have to do it the hard way, by actually playing direct football with intelligent & accurate passes and defending well, we won’t even need dedicated wingers and counter attacks else they’ll tame us. And the full backs, CBs and DMs will be extremely important on Thursday cos most of Australia’s attack will come as those square plays and through ball into the box. I will go with a front 3 of Kanu, Oshoala and Ajibade. But Ajibade will have to spend more time in midfield alongside Payne to help transition into attack. That’s just my take, I’m open to criticism, corrections and appraisals till the reality of Thursday’s match comes

which fair game he played awfully that kai first goal was partly his fault
then that irrational tackle on timo that got him booked
defensivly aina is bad
Omo, Aina has suffered sha. Person wey dey ball.... Among our defenders, he’s the best passer, the best dribbler and the best goal scorer. Even his marking is not bad, he had quite a number of successful interceptions yesterday. Let me tell you something about Ebuehi, I’ve been watching his games in the Eredivise these past few months and it’s been average, Ebuehi’s strength is his pace and marking(paradoxically Aina is quite better in marking skillful opponents but poor in marking Pacy opponents), but when you watch Ebuehi’s game closely, you see flaws in his technical abilities, don’t get me wrong, he’s good but he’s still raw, he joins the attack often but hardly contribute positively cos his crosses are still below average and his confidence is still far below Aina’s own. For Ehizibue, well not yet o, with the past few games I’ve watch him play in the Bundesliga, it seems he’s better off the ball than on the ball.

Agreed

Chukwueze played nonsense

Chuks doesn’t look like he he improving

But I still Dey observe
Lol, he still has that NPFL dribble and waste it mentality but Samuel is beast when he plays well, you can’t take that away from him.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mowah: 7:22pm On Mar 30, 2021
My opinion, though I Know many won’t agree
Aina > Ebuehi (but I’ll pick Ebuehi if counter attack is the plan)
Aribo > Etebo (but Etebo plays African football better)
Uzoho > Maduka ( I feel Maduka will become better with time but for now, he’s just lucky he hasn’t been exposed)
Anayo proved Rohr right about NPFL
Onuachu has really improved (he’s added that “Giroud” factor to the Afcon 2019 Onuachu)
Iwobi didn’t train yesterday probably wasn’t match fit, he’s done so much for me to criticize
Sadly, Iheanacho hasn’t still found his place in the team even with his quality
Rohr needs to experiment Balogun with other CBs
And finally, we need a Yaya Toure kind of player to pair Ndidi and a solid CB to pair Balogun

SE lineup to face Lesotho

The Oyibo wall has gone back to being our first choice pairing
Great one from Rohr, this will certainly settle the Aina vs Ebuehi debate. I hope Uzoho is tested so he can prove Rohr wrong and will love to see Ajayi.

We are likely to meet Cameroon or Ivory coast in the next round
Thank God they are in the same group, so the risk is minimized. As long as it’s not Senegal, Egypt, Algeria or Tunisia we will be fine. Still have a feeling a minor country will shock everyone and qualify for the World Cup next year

Ebuehi, Osimhen, Ndidi can certainly play for England
Let’s be honest with ourselves, non of our current players can cement himself in the England squad, Ndidi and Osimhen might just make it occasionally but would struggle to be a key member of the team, but that doesn’t mean they’re a better team, one interesting thing about this current eagles is the dynamics at which they play as a team, it’s like a synergy of average players forming a great team, just like what we saw in Leeds Utd,the Aston villa vs Liverpool, Lyon of last season and Atalanta

Saw it on Africanews yesterday, made Uyo stadium look old, honestly if Nigeria was a better country, we should have that kind of stadium in Lagos.

Lol na true bro, Nigeria has always had this goalkeeping issues for over 15 years now, Enyeama just masked it, remember those days it wasn’t him between the sticks how shaky it used to be, but why won’t we have such issues when the grassroot is faulty, In Nigeria na the most otu player wey wan play by force dey do keeper in grassroot football, that’s how Uzoho became a goalkeeper sef, when I visit some academies here in Lagos, the goalkeepers are the most ignored when it comes to technical training.
