Seriously speaking, I don't like this rohr, he is too conservative to change. That's why he was sacked by Bordeaux and they won the ligue 1 after he left. Most people have been hailing him because of our results have improved since his arrival. But that was totally due to the rebuilding process and motivation of the players. But I'm sorry to say, I've not seen any tactical genius from rohr. How can someone use a 4-3-3 formation against england without a good dmf? He should have studied the English team and realized that they hardly concede goals from the wings in their past few matches . Now, he drops ola Aina without really giving him a chance, Brian idowu has tried but hasn't really been top notch like ebuehi, let's say, idowu gets injured during the WC, we'd be doomed with echiejile. He knows echiejile isn't good but doesn't want to drop him because he's a senior experienced player and was more involved in the qualifier but the dude doesn't have anything to offer. Now hes taking joel and onazi. After this wc, i think onazi should be removed as the vice captain and it should be given to ekong .I just pray Wilfred Is back on time and maybe we practice the 3-5-2 formation against Czech republic. I'd love to see victor moses as our left wing back instead of idowu cos I don't know where he'd fit in the formation but Its just that, if you put him as left wing back he'll start forming big boy and feeling reluctant to play and run the way he plays for Chelsea. But anyway, rohr knows best!
I said it earlier, but guys didn't believe, gernot rohr is overrated, there was a reason average African teams like Gabon, Burkina Fasa and Niger Sacked him quite early while our own late Steven Keshi took Togo to the world cup and improved the Malian team. Rohr needs to change his tactics against Iceland (I won't be surprised if he doesn't) 3-5-2 should have been used against Croatia but we can still try it against Iceland only if our wingbacks are more attacking because we will need a "force de frappe" of attack to crack them, With what I saw on Friday, I think victor moses can play lwb for us (dude has the ginger to play well in this wc) then tyronne should take the right. But let's think of it? We can actually drop Mikel, I hope gernot is bold enough to, (the only game we've won this year, Mikel was absent against Poland while we've lost every game he has played In this year) y'all need to remove that mentality that we can't play well without Mikel, etebo would do well and even ogu sef(I just like this guy cos him no dey do pass himself and does a great job too) my line up against Iceland would be 3-5-2
Uzoho; omeruo, balogun, ekong; moses ndidi etebo iwobi ebuehi; iheanacho, ighalo. Iwobi plays behind the 2 strikers while etebo and ndidi take up the dmf. This should work against Iceland as long as they play like beast with all their hearts, who knows we might even trash them, the only disadvantage of this formation is that it is too dependent on the wingbacks so if they Bleep up, we are dead. I still believe in this boys, hope they make us proud again #Naijaalltheway

Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached

Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached
Versatile Chelsea fullback Ola Aina might have taken his omission from Nigeria's World Cup roster in the right way when he publicly wished the Super Eagles all the best at the 2018 World Cup.

However, there are repercussions over that move made by manager Gernot Rohr, with foreign-born talents of Nigerian descent based in England vowing to turn down the opportunity of playing for the Super Eagles if approached by the Nigerian Federation.

This website can exclusively report that the very talented Manchester City trio Tom Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Tosin Adarabioyo, who have all debuted for City's first team, are no longer interested in playing for Nigeria.

''Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Adarabioyo are the hottest young players in England at the moment,'' a top source close to the three players told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''They are unhappy over the way Ola Aina was treated by Gernot Rohr and the Nigerian Federation, and they don't want to play for Nigeria again as they could face the same fate.

''Apart from his debut against Argentina, Brian Idowu has not impressed in all the games he has played for the Super Eagles and Echiejile was not playing for his second division club in Belgium, Aina should have made the 23-man squad.''

Aina became cap-tied for Nigeria when he replaced Elderson Echiejile in the closing minutes of the Super Eagles 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo last October.

The former England U19 skipper has made four appearances for the Super Eagles.

TheGoodJoe:
Long story. The simple point is that against a top class France, Keshi's team matched the French side until they resorted to injuring his players to win. That is a clear description of the strength of Stephen Keshi. Remember our two-two game against Italy or our 1-0 defeat of Catalonia. Calling Keshi a scam is nothing but a joke. Heck in the AFCON, we put 4 goals pass a strong Malian side and in the CHAN, Keshi led the team to a Dramatic come back from being down by three goals to win the game in extra time.

Please you should acknowledge him,
Because Keshi deserves some accolades,
He does deserve some accolades.
Keshi was simply the best in my lifetime

NFF organizes seminar for Super Eagles

The leadership of Nigeria Football Federation has concluded arrangements for a seminar on wealth creation, investments and portfolio management for players and officials of the Senior National Football Team, Super Eagles.

NFF 2nd Vice President/Chairman of Strategy Committee, Mallam Shehu Dikko told thenff.com that the seminar, which will see leading voices in the private sector who are partners of the NFF delivering papers, will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.

“We believe that it is important to also afford the players and their officials the opportunity to listen to critical advice in the area of wealth creation, business opportunities, investments and portfolio management.

“The focus should not always be entirely on playing football. Of course, the game on the pitch is important. But after the game, there is that aspect of human existence that also requires adroit management and knowledge –based action. Moreover, they cannot play football for ever. Management of what they have is key to life after retirement.”

The Super Eagles delegation is set to fly out of Port Harcourt to Abuja on Tuesday morning, and the Nigeria Football Federation has informed players and officials about the seminar, which will hold between 1.45pm and 2.30pm.

Mr. Bismark Rewane (Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives); Mr. Olufemi Obaleke (Executive Director of WAPIC Insurance Plc) and; Mr. Tolu Adeleke (Partner, PriceWaterHouse Coopers) are among those who will speak to the World Cup –bound Eagles.

Organizers hinted thenff.com that the National Integrity Officer, Dr. Christian Emeruwa will also have a few minutes to talk about integrity matters at the session. The session comes before the contingent is scheduled to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) at the State House on Tuesday evening.
Is this necessary? Anyway , who knows when the 25 man list is coming out?

See wailing and gnashing of Teeth for what?! On a Pitch like ridges at Ota Farm? LMAO!

Offensively Ola Aina is far better than Echiejile. Moreso, Echiejile with his Experience, would have cost us a one man down with his reckless, career ending Tackle in a competitive Match.

If we can give Excuses for Iheanacho, Etebo and Co for failing to live up to Expectations due to the bad Pitch, why ain't we giving the same Excuse for Aina too?!
Olaoluwa Aina. He learned his Trade on world class Pitches not on Farmland Ridges.
You talk with so much wisdom and understanding.
Ola Aina was far better than echiejiele

He brought out the best of etebo, he was faster and more skillful, he defended better (he had 2 interceptions , echiejile had just one) , his long throws were okay. C'mon , why would anyone pick echiejile over him. I pray rohr sees this too. But anything he says is final. I just feel for ola Aina because he has been so unlucky, y'all need to see him play at his natural position for hull. He's damn good with ball

EducationRe: How Tough Is Medicine And Surgery As A Course? by mowah:
Well, medicine is definitely the toughest course to study in Nigeria, According to statistics only 56% of all admitted medical student in Nigeria end up being a doctor.

First of all, admission into the university to study medicine is really a Big deal. According to jamb only 1.6% of people who apply to study medicine yearly get admitted.
The second barrier is moving from 100l to 200l in the college of medicine, this is another challenge in most schools in Nigeria as the student are required to pass all their courses (@ least 50%) to cross over. Many student's ambition have been cut off at this stage especially in UNILAG as the pass rate for this year was just 40%.

The third barrier is passing the 300l professional second mb exam which has proved to be the toughest stage as students only have 18 months to learn basic medical science courses such as anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. It's just like Learning all the biology, physics and Chemistry you learnt in secondary school in 18 months with rigorous practical classes and all students are required to pass all courses with at least 50%. Student who performed excellently well (above 70%)are rewarded with a distinction, although it's could be as rare as just 5% of the students.

The next step is passing the 3rd MBBS exam which You'll do Harder courses like pharmacology, pathology, microbiology and You'll also be introduced to some Clinical courses also like paediatrics, Gynecology, obstetrics, orthopaedics, forensic medicine etc

The final steps include the Clinical stages where You'll write your 4th and 5th exams. With successful candidates being rewarded with the MBBS degree and will require to complete a one year housemanship and also nysc service.

But, with consistent handwork and study habit. Anyone can be a doctor, thanks
Hope I answered your question well
