Its not cos i did/do not know it, but at that moment my mind was filled with interview stuff, things about the coy, nothing relating to church. I actually remembered immediately i stood up to leave, but i just dint want to go back to it.

oweniwe, you went through my files abi?
Thanks for the advice but truth is you can't predict the flow of an interview no matter how conversant you are with interview process. I have attended one too many and I can say no two interview situation are the same.

I have also heard of people who forgot their names right in front of their interviewer, it can be that bad. I've learnt one thing though that whether you are right or wrong don't lose your composure, nobody knows it all.

The question I asked the lady at that particular interview wasn't well answered but I just nodded, thanked her and acted like I understood her response. It is an interview, losing balance is sometimes a likelihood.

Very very very true.
Lol. Ive walked into an interview with full confidence before and one thing led to another and the interviewer asked me "what is your pastors name?"
I couldnt remember at tht moment. I was lost. I felt terrible n then he told me to find out immediately i left there.... now immediately i stepped out of tht room, i rememberd my pastors name, even surnname sef, but it was too late...

One can never be fully prepared cos u duno wat they'd throw at you.
Staying confident is key, no matter what.

Sir Moyarh:

Na naija we dey o...

Things no easy at all

Check the front page and see news of ppl whose lives got cut short in horrible ways...

Even if one is unemployed, as far as person dey alive and healthy .... Ah , make e thank God.

The motivational speaker aspect.... I only talk when im very prepared... Otherwise, it'll be like I'm speaking hindi grin

So... Why do you think i decided to stop applying for corporate jobs?
Truee. We must always always be thankful.

About the job thing, well several possible reasons.
You spent alota time reading so you know alot about alot, and would likely have found something that interested you that you felt if you invested your time in (instead of chasing jobs) you'd do well at it. . .

Or

You mentioned you've been writing since 07, which means you have interest there and you've developed it as a strength, so you decided to develop it further and turn it to something fruitful...

Or

You decided to just re strategise and map out something different to invest yourself in...

Or

You can just tell me/us the real reason (s) grin

Wrong sir.

Unemployment didn't turn me to story teller... Infact, i'm not "unemployed" as in "jobless" if that is what you think undecided

For your info, I started writing in 2007 ... i was in SS 2 then smiley wink

This is not a story... Please check the first post of the thread for the purpose of this memoir. smiley

Thank you cool

Lol. Bro, pardon me. My comment wasnt meant to be derogatory in anyway. I read it well, and i know its real, its your experience, its your "story" and i like the way you're telling it. Thats why i said i think you'd make a good motivational speaker. As for the unemployment part, i said tht cos obviously, d experience is from when you were job hunting.
Long and short is, i meant unemployment has given youths alota funny experiences tht we all can tell as stories... real stories, not fiction.

So still, welldone smiley

I tell my friends that I prefer an interview ending with, " Have a good day " rather than "We'll get back to you". I don't know which is worse sha... lol.
Lol.
Well dont be suprised if/when they all send their offer letters around the same period. Tht will be a good 'problem' to have, trying to pick grin
Just stay optimistic. Things will definitely get better smiley

People should learn to drive carefully.
See how fuel just dey waste.
I drove pass this scene today and i can point out two causes. 1) terrible road. 2) reckless tanker drivers. I dont know where those guys learnt how to drive but its really bad. Unfortunately, trailer/tanker accidents will keep occuring if proper checks are not put in place for ths people.

Iont even know if tht was compensation or...
Well till now thy've not gotten back to any1, cos i still keep in touch wth the other guys.

"We will get back to you" is the new "...until eternity". But God dey grin

Ehen! Moyarh how far? Saw that post where you said you've been mailing a particular company's HR but they are still posting you even though in an optimistic fashion. Are you still in touch? How much longer will you wait?

Lol
Those pipu. The story with them is just a funny smthn. I did interviews with the HR, and the GM, i evn got the GMs contact and mailed her directly and she responded... positively.
I taya fr them. Ive actually moved on, its just the way they keep sounding really positive tht makes me mail them once in a while and the GM always says "pls, we havent forgoten you" and it makes me wonder, if i was hanging on to such optimistic response(es) na so my life for just dey waste for months.
God dey
