Education / Re: IELTS: Share Your Experience, Ask Your Questions, Tell Us Your Score If You Can. by Mpchi(m): 12:19am On May 17, 2023
I wrote my exam on the 1st of April, 2023 with the British Council in Rivers State. After I registered and paid for the exam, a linked was sent to mail to access a site called Clarity English. In this site, you are given guidelines and tips on how to perform well in the exam by staffs of British Council (Those tip really paid in my listening and Writing section). Also, there were two real time examples of each section of your exam on the Clarity English site. I was not too strong in writing but with the tips, advices, and real time examples, I built my confidence and gave it my best. From my experience, the reason why most people fail the listening test is because they fail to adhere to the instructions (if it states “use only one word”, please religiously use only one word). Furthermore, pay attention to when words are pronounced with “s”. Finally, pay attention to where the word is placed in the question as will ensure if your word will start with a capital letter or small letter (remember names of people should begin with capital too). For the reading test, you need to be super fast. Practice a lot of examples, this will boost your speed and ability to fish out answers. For the reading section, always underline words or ideas that originated from a person. This played a great role in my exam. I also used online site to increase the number of example I answered. Don’t be scammed, IELTS exam isn’t hard when you follow the instructions of the exams and tips provided from Clarity English. I did not pay money for any teaching or materials, just did an intensive four week practice and I was good to go...
P.S. this is my first time of taking IELTS

Health / How Do I Treat This At My Throat by Mpchi(m): 4:35am On Jun 27, 2022
I saw the reddish and sore boil at the back of my throat in 2021. I visited a hospital and I was told to gargle warm water mix with salt and was given some antibiotics, which I did, still to no avail. Since I notices this reddish boil on my throat, breathing has been difficult and there is a constant rashes in my throat and I easily get cold with blocked nose. How can I treat this?

Romance / Re: How Can I Survive A Heartbreak? by Mpchi(m): 10:24pm On Dec 04, 2020
No amount of words will ease the pain you feel now, try to do something that takes your mind from her (biking, hanging out, etc), also try telling a good friend how you feel, talking about it with someone makes you feel good. Now is a better time to invest in yourself and a time for sober reflection, note what you did wrong and try not to repeat it in your next relationship and also note where you excel in the relationship and ensure you work more on it... The best part of your love life is yet to come, I know the pain you are going through and you feel like your world has no meaning but this might be the best thing that happened to you when you think about it in a few years from now.... Finally, remember time heals.... If you feel like crying, please do... Ensure you don't bottle up your emotions...
surebona:

Paroman: Jose Mourinho on an interview with CNN after leaving Inter to coach Real Madrid
“I could write a book of 200 pages of my two years at Inter with Mario, but the book would not be a drama – it would be a comedy,”
“I remember one time when we went to play Kazan in the Champions League. In that match I had all my strikers injured. No
Diego Milito, no Samuel Eto’o, I was really in trouble and Mario was the only one.

“Mario got a yellow card in the 42nd minute, so when I got to the dressing room at half-time I spend about 14 minutes of the 15 available speaking only to Mario.
“I said to him: ‘Mario, I cannot change you,
I have no strikers on the bench, so don’t touch anybody and play only with the ball.
If we lose the ball no reaction. If someone provokes you, no reaction, if the referee
makes a mistake, no reaction.'
At the The 46th minute
