Another route to this, ask your tafe school to package the course for you i.e D2D. That wil qualify you for SVP and u might b able to exit after u ar done wit d diploma. Usually the university will giv u upto 3-5 yrs after which your package offer will b cancel.

Social work is good, but it has no advance diploma which qualifies for SVP unless BSC which could b more expensive. Diploma should b cheaper but visa and account statement wahala.

i hope i wont have visa issues with my tafe program. having done bsc before amd now going for a tafe in somethg different. i hope im safe, and i hope i will qualify for pr once im done with tafe even without work experience bt ofcos majority of tafe in social work require wrk placements during studies? thank u izy i appreciate

I will start by saying this (general):

Its unfortunate based on the state of d nation and shallow degree of youth exposure in Nigeria that loads of youth end up doing degrees that are a mis-match to their work experience. U try advising a Nigerian youth on a course to study, but he/she is bent on what his/her passion was since wayback SS2. While some it just hapnd dey got in, and some for peer group ego or parental ego; forgeting about the economic part of d course.

Now the headache here is u want to dissert ur bsc degree, which is a fundamental pre-requisite for Aussy PR assessment or a 5yr post bsc work exp. related to d nominated field. Since ure deficient in this regard, pls do a course that will make u relevant in Aussy and at d same time secure PR. You need to do this reaearch on ur own. The sol and csol list + state list will guide u. Never do a course with the hope that a state will sponsor it in future and never do a course that is over flogged and stands d risk of being removed.

If u can stay on the health pathway. Its more of a certainty. Study route is ur best bet. So put in ur bucks and research in student visa.

when u say "pls do a course that will make u relevant etc" does it mean i have to do another bsc? again? cs since i cant use my bsc and i dont have the 5yrs wrk experience. or can i enter for tafe in social work? hear its for small children/kids i mean the tafe cn any1 confirm this pls. i have chkd d csol nd sol multiple times.

ferdimako , that marketing specialist is under the csol but @izsy says no state is sponsoring it. so it means i cant apply for pr with a degree in marketing?

that was why i said i wanted to do pgd social work. bt now im bn told i need prior learning. in fact its annoying. pls i dont understand dt ur state sponsorship thingy. does it mean if ur occupation is not on the sol u hv to make sure its bn sponsored by a state even if its on csol. is that what u mean?/meant

No state is sponsoring marketing specialist. Check csol and all state lists, then arrive at a favourable Msc course. Forget about ur sales experience so that it doesnt guide ur course pathway, rather embrace opportunities.

If u loved ur Bsc course, u can find ways of integrating into toxicology for instance. There are hotcake areas u can fashion ur Bsc and Msc degree to for Oz.

good day guys..my specialty is sales cos i have worked as a sales executive for 1yr6mnth...please i want to ask if doing a pgd-masters in marketing and when im through will apply for pr but im confused which of them on the csol. if i study marketing can i apply for Pr in "technical sales representative" please reply cs i cant see any course related to sales persay as there is also a job role called "marketing specialist" and wondeeing if its only for those who studied marketing... please your views Godbless

i might just go the student route then. in the mean time let me work and save more money ...for people going the student route, pls quick question. after your 2 year study, u have to apply for a temporary graduate visa, is it immediately u apply for the PR or you have to work for 1year first before applying for the PR?

5years? jesus. so i cant use my sales experience to apply? so does it mean even after my pgd i still need to work some more in the field of logistics befre applying. this is why i said it was complicated

after checking the csol i saw Technical sales representatives nec 225412 vetassess ... i worked as a sales agent for 1yr 6months and i worked as a logistics operation executive for just 9months

@bosslady funniest part is i am not jokin. i have read everythg on d thread from beginin to end. i wanted to go via school bt i changed my mind to go via pr. that pr language and everythg just seems confusing thats why. i read biology in school finished 4years ago bt never worked with it instead ive wrked as a sales agent/ supply chain person. started work in jan 2013 till this 2015
