ezme: I recognize that this is a ploy to get me to meander.... #Say no to anonyismLol, interesting. Especially since you were the one that meandered into a question I didn't ask you. Then when I ask you the same question you claim it is a ploy to get you to meander. You are an amazing character |
mazaje: Sure, i will want a world without sickness.Good me too. would you like us to explore what a world without sickness will actually look like? His hard work and the people around him helped him to attain what ever position he has attained in life. . .Your god has nothing to do with that. . .If you disagree then you should tell me exactly how your god has helped him attain anything in his life. . .in bold: He'll have to actually tell his life story for me to meet that demand. But let me ask, how do you know it is his hard-work and not his cheating that helped him up? Let us leave things we don't know, let us assume it is as you say that his hard work and people around him helped him up. Yet neither he nor the people that "helped" him had any control over his life. None of them kept him alive, none of them kept his heart beating, none of them kept his brain working, none of them kept his lungs working or helped him breathe or helped his cells function. Let us even come to how he met these helpers of his; what is the guarantee they would like him and what t help him? what about all the multiple possibilities that could have happened such that he didn't even meet them not to talk of them helping him? There are so many factors affecting where he found himself. To claim that it was his own doing is just ignorant. |
Logicboy03: hahahahaYawn. you haven't shown any abuse anywhere other than highlighting some lines and claiming to be abused. As I said, you are always welcome to report it to the mods |
davidylan: I was only pointing out how pathetic muskeeto is actually lol. At least logicboy has an opinion... no matter how dumb it is.Lololol |
Logicboy03: My thread deserves a ban? A thread that had no abuse rather it was a bible quiz on bible people and events that happened in the bible.Lololol. You know you are always free to complain to the moderators if you feel offended by that post |
Logicboy03: See the dishonest fellow? MtchewLol, you asked my opinion, I gave it. Then you called me dishonest just because I disagreed with you? You are such a crybaby . . . .and definitely a fanatic |
davidylan: lol at the sheer dishonesty. Muskeeto is best ignored to be honest. I have considered him a poor man's logicboy. Basically a cheerleader who contributes next to nothing with regard to intelligent discourse.Lol, a poor man's logicboy makes logicboy sound like a luxury. He isn't. |
Logicboy03: Guy, before you do your Anonyism....address the op!Yes both of them deserve bans |
mazaje: And this means what? What part exactly did you not understand? |
ezme: I'm not responsible for the conclusions you draw from reading my premises.lol, then please point me right: Would you like to live in a world like heaven where there is no sickness? yes or no? |
davidylan: this is just silly... how else do you parse the following statement - Funny things is he's yet to point out what was offensive about the thread.. There wasn't any falsehood or lies on that thread as far as I'm concerned.Dude, do you really think he didn't see that? Logicboy is a fanatic he'll employ dishonesty and bullying tactics if it helps him. BTW Here's more from our muskeeto on this thread musKeeto: Ihedinobi: Ah, good! My mistake! So we are agreed that his thread was offensive. Pardon my error, I was under the impression that you were speaking in his defence. musKeeto: THE LIAR has been caught pants down...This exchange simply made me laugh. It's that moment of pure dishonesty where someone lies by calling another person a liar. Let us ask muskeeto now: Was logicboy's thread offensive or not? |
mazaje: The responsibility comes from his compassion as a human being to another human he see is in need of help. . .Why do you keep asking silly and weak questions?. . .Lol, do you even know what a responsibility is? The fact that you want to do something does not place a responsibility upon you to do it |
mazaje: As some one rightly pointed out, isn't that the utopia you guys call heaven?. . .I will love a world where your god will do his job, at least hell the sick kids whose parents are constantly praying for them to be healed without relying on humans to do everything for him, since you guys claim he exist and interferes in the world. . .you still haven't answered my question. Do you want a world without sickness? Yes or no? because if you don't, then you have no business complaining that there are sick people in the world you currently live in. The position he fond himself is has nothing to do with your god. . .How do you know this to be true? |
ezme: You would find my view on this here >>> https://www.nairaland.com/1219892/how-appealing-promise-eternal-lifeWill I be right to conclude that you don't want to live in a place like heaven? |
davidylan: Frankly i dont care. I would say JeSoul should simply have gone ahead to create an atheist section and moved your threads there. That way you all can mock the bible to your heart's desire with no one to bother you. No point closing the thread to create hypocritical martyrs who cry intolerance when their attempts at abuse and ridicule of others is denied.Exactly |
ezme: Is the bolded not part of characteristics of the Utopian earth you describe as Heaven?Would you like to live in such a place as Heaven? |
bolaino: why should'nt I help sick kids? I believe providence has put me in a position to be of help to people who can't help themselves, and I have chosen, as a responsible human being to help as much people as I can,You see my problem with you here is that your argument is not consistent. If your argument is that life just happens, then if the kids suffer and die it is just their luck, if the kids survive and live healthy, it is also just their luck. Likewise, if you help them, it is just their luck, if you don't help them, it is also just their luck. Whether you are rich or poor it is just your luck, whether they suffer or not it is also just their luck. Whether you help or not, life just happens. Where then exactly does the "responsibility" you are talking about come from? P/s: I'm assuming that by "providence" you actually mean chance because providence really means divine guidance and if that's what you mean then you would have conceded that God put you in such a position to help those children. |
bolaino: well I honestly don't think so, the concept of being grateful to God is a very tricky subject, cos if you're thanking God for sending rain to water your crops, you should also acknowledge that it's the same God that allows hurricanes and tsunamis to kill and devastate people. If what you say here is true, then I don't see any reason why you should be concerned about sick and dying children neither do I see any reason why you should help them. That's just life, things just happen right? |
mazaje: Why can't your god help the kids himself by protecting them against the diseases in the first place?. . .Or healing them directly when they get sick, since according to the narrative he can do all these things. . . .Would you like a world where no one could ever possibly get sick? Would such a world prove God to you? Your god did not place him any where. . .He placed himself where ever he found himself and is using his human compassion to help the kids. . .Your god has nothing to do with anything. . .The bold is a terrible contradiction. You either placed yourself somewhere or you found yourself somewhere not both. So which is it? |
musKeeto: All judges have power to execute a criminal. What ever judgement the judge decides to hand out will be based on what laws/rules he's working with.Lol, we both know that you are setting up the muslim/generic gods strawman to help you evade the question I asked you. I won't push you further just hug your strawman tight. Whatever helps you close your eyes and ears bro. |
musKeeto: Which God?Interesting. How dishonest can you get? So you have suddenly forgotten which God you were talking about here: musKeeto: Yeah, I do. Would you agree then that man's will may overshadow God's will? God places on in a position to do good, and he ends up doing wrong...It is interesting to notice how you knew full well the God we were both talking about but at the mention of God's judgment of evil people, you immediately developed amnesia. Could it be that you are afraid of God's judgment? Only criminals are afraid of judgment, good people look forward to it |
musKeeto: Yeah, I do. Would you agree then that man's will may overshadow God's will? God places on in a position to do good, and he ends up doing wrong...I wouldn't use the word "overshadow" I would rather say that man can go against God's will. Now would you agree that such a man who opposes God by doing evil when he has been placed in a position to do good should rightly deserve to face the full wrath of God's judgment? |
Two sermons i just recently watched, hope you enjoy them. I'm off to church now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6_1zQJrdPg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8nnIybTQX0 |
musKeeto: God could also have placed him in a position to sell fake teething mixture to the kids.I hope you do realize that there is a difference between placing one in a position and the choices one decides to make while in that position |
bolaino: well as an individual I have done my best to help kids with various illnesses, I have a foundation here in Nigeria where we provide drugs and free medical treatment for little kids, although it's just starting but at least I know I love children more than the christian God,Very good, and you don't think that it is possible God placed you in that position so that those kids could be helped through you? |
bolaino: @op, very insightful, as an agnostic, I personally do not feel the need to be thankful, thankful to who? To God? The God who allows innocent little children to die of starvation and disease? Nahh, I'll rather acknowledge my hard work,What have you done to help innocent little children dying of starvation and disease? |
striktlymi: The only case I can think of right now would be that of Lucifer....he was with God in heaven but still had the ability to sin. Are we saying that that part of sacred scriptures is only relevant for man and not angels?Hmm, the reply I would give might be quite long. Permit me to come back to this at a later time |
Boomark: For a harmony between Jn1:1 and Jn1:14, All i know is Rev 3:12 no way to escape this one.For even more harmony, I know Revelations 22:12-13, there is no way to escape this one. |
benalvino: yeah I see it that way... things like jesus body was dispose by the power of God they believe even if it was not in the bible... things like jesus materialize with human body after is resurrection they believe but he says it was his body that died... all this teaching are not in the bible they believe them. But John 1:1 says Jesus is God they refuse to believe.let me get you right, do you believe that Jesus Christ resurrected bodily? |
benalvino: don't mind him he doesn't want to accept the truth... I have provide 3 verses jesus is called almighty and there can not be 2 almighty also God cannot be almighty and mighty at the same time... so is Jesus.some people will stubbornly deny the truth even if it kicks them in the head |
frosbel: "....8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God,"Good. Now compare: "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star. The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price." Rev 22:12-16 Was the statement in red made by Jesus Christ? Or are there two Alpha and Omega? |
Rossikk: If the ''personal opinion'' of a majority of people is that they would NOT demand worship in the position of Creator, then we can reasonably extrapolate that neither would the Creator. Not really. I'm sure if you ask most people, they don't ever want to die or grow old but they want to have children and they don't want overpopulation. They also all want to be filthy rich some even want to have super powers. They all want to rule and none wants to serve. No my friend, the voice of the people IS NOT the voice of God at all. ![]() |
