robbers attacked Ecobank three times at Ojo Alaba in a space of 5months last year and the police did not kill not even one of the robbers despite their heavy presence at the market with their armoured tank stationed in the market.
This has nothing to do with a VIP visit. The policemen are just too scared to attack the robbers because they believe the robbers have more sophisticated weapons than them.

I think the lekki robbery was largely successful because of the visit of president Jonathan and Muhamodu Buhari to Lagos yesterday. I think the over concentration of the entire security agencies on Victoria Island made other areas vulnerable.
From eyewitness reports, the criminals had a filled time operating from close to fifteen minutes in a very busy area of Lagos, an area with usual high police and military (OP MESA) presence and there was almost no engagement or fire exchange. In fact the policemen that lost their lives were escorts to a private body.

The VIPs, Presidents and other top officials should look for ways to sort out their own security instead of putting the rest of us in danger. I don't see any reason why policemen should leave their formations to position themselves along the 3rd mainland bridge and major roads like mascots just because someone is visiting.

The problem with the Nigerian Army is that it is loaded with too many "kabu-kabu generals" who, ordinarily, would not even qualify for a seargent in other places. Big pot belly generals too over weight, lacking the proper skills needed in modern warfare populate the Nigeria landscape. If wars are won by the number of generals a nation has, Nigeria will by now be a super power. The war against the insurgency has exposed a major weakness in our military. The fact that we have to use our hard earned resources to pay foreign mercenaries says a lot about the current state of the Army. After the civil war, the military has not engaged in serious combat operations other than peace missions. The more the military ventures into politics the farther away it is from combat ready, professional fighting force.


Mercenaries in this era of all sorts of smuggling? The attendant results from this proposition will spell doom for the Nation. Count me out supporting the move. Our Security Forces is not that derelict. Invoke war acts and pay them appropriately for the special operations. We can't subscribe to this pending invitation for trouble.

31years ago Buhari denied Lagos of a mono rail,today lagosians are still paying for it.

A lot of lagosians die young from stress,some die from traffic robbery whilst some suffer all forms of illnesses .

Gej revived the railway system nationwide and today,even celebrities avoid traffic by taking the train, even in first world countries,trains,mono rails and trams are sure means of transportation !
