PoliticsRe: Obi Should Just Forget About The ADC Ticket With What I Saw Yesterday At Kastina by MrDDM: 5:00pm On Jul 16, 2025
7demons:
If they will listen. This is what I have been telling them but it seems our people like doing politics with emotions not our head that's why this country take us for a ride. Buhari said we're a Dot in a circle but they failed to think logically the meaning of what he said. If Obi fails to align with Atiku and go the way of few of his so called Obidents fan, we will never smell that power again in 50yrs to come. Obi himself knows what's at stake now and he knows Atiku is his last chance.
You said the sincere truth, Nigerian politics is drived by religion and tribalism. Obi hardly win in the vote bloc of the north west, because the evil politicians will use any propaganda to make Obi appear bad in the the eyes of northern electorates. They can start saying he's supporting Biafra movement, if he becomes president he will divide Nigeria. This and that. But if he joined the coalition as VP north will know him better so, he can easily broke the record to become First igbo president.. since 1999 igbo man never be a Vp or even president. Despite they are number 3 tribe in Nigeria and spread all over the country. The chance for igbo is now or wait in next millennium.

This thread remains relevant till today. The level in which our Nigerian girls engaging in hook up is alarming. I stayed in Gwarinpa all the girls around especially those from south are advanced olosho. Being patronise by high ranking individuals. Sadly enough their private party has turned to instruments for money making.
I can bet anyone , in every 10 girls u meet in Gwarinpa 7 are oloshos

Its not easy to born a baby girl in this generation.

casualobserver:
It is a tight call for 2nd spot between Yobe, jigawa and Kebbi, but you see that Gombe, e dey on his own for no1 spot.

Then again this is from the point of view of the south. If you ask people in the North they may see things differently and ask which state is Ebonyi or Abia.
You are very right most average Northerner no nothing about southern states. State like Akwa ibom, Ebonyi, Ekiti Osun are less popular, some towns are even popular than the whole state. Eg Sagamu, Ijebu, Ilesha, Ogbomosho, Onitsha, Warri, Auchi, Aba so on. May be they are popular due to trade and commercial activities exist between those town and North.

scholes0:
I already kind of knew from the start that your main grouse with the news is not that this achievement isn't newsworthy, but rather the composition of the achievers.

But back to your fallacious post, if you are a real student of history then you would have known that for most of Nigeria's existence starting from the first republic- Yorubas have always been in the opposition, while the Igbos and Hausa-Fulanis have always been bed partners. But the good thing is that you can't hide the truth, especially when It is glaring. Let's look at the timeline of those who have ruled Nigeria since independence

1960-1963 — Azikiwe/Balewa
1963-1966 — Azikiwe/Balewa
1967-1979 — Civil war/ Military Rule
1979-1983 — Shagari/Ekwueme
1983-1999 — Military Rule
1999-2007 — Obasanjo/Atiku
2007-2010 — Yar'Adua/Jonathan
2010-2015 — Jonathan/Sambo
2015-Date — Buhari/Osinbajo

Now look at the list and tell me when this "Yorubas playing second fiddle to the Fulanis" fable became a thing among you people? Azikiwe in fact neglected Awolowo's handshake across the Niger and instead chose to go play second fiddle as a ceremonial president to prime minister Balewa who had the real power. He also frustrated Chief Awolowo's plan to include the secession clause in the constitution.

On the issue of Southern Unity, did you know that Chief Awolowo picked an Igbo running mate. Yet, the Igbo voted en masse for Shagari, an illiterate Northerner to spite Awolowo and the Yoruba. In fact, the Igbo wanted Abacha to continue ruling, matter of fact, the [Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha (YEAA)] campaign was led by an Igbo man, by the name Daniel Kanu. They even voted against Abiola who had wide acceptance across the board in Nigeria, including huge swathes of the North, and instead chose to support Tofa the Northern candidate whose collabo partner was an Igbo vice by the name Sylvester Ugoh who also happened to be the defunct governor of the central Bank of Biafra (shame). Abiola won in only 1 out of the then 4 Eastern states

—The Igbo had no problem with collaborating with the North when they supported Atiku and Peter Obi or in all previous occasions. They only have issues with Northern collaboration when they aren't the bedmates and someone else is doing the 'collaborating' lipsrsealed
you are very stupid for calling Shehu Shagari illiterate.. Dan shegiya, Shagari was ahead of your entire generation

PoliticsXenophobia And Naijaphobia : A Comparative Analysis by MrDDM(op): 10:45pm On Sep 07, 2019
South Africans, especially youths are known globally for killing foreign nationals and destroying their hard-earned assets. Foreign nationals have generally migrated to the country in search of greener pasture. Nigerians are among the victims of such act of cruelty and barbarity of South Africans, generally referred to as "xenophobia". According to reports in various media outlet, not less than two hundred Nigerians have lost their from 2015 to date as result of different Xenophobic attacks, hence, millions dollar Nigerians-owned business razed.

Sometimes, people may wonder why an average Nigerian leaves his homeland to look for greener pasture abroad, while his country has vast land richs in resources and wealth. The answer to this question could be determined to what, the German-based journalist Faruq Kproogi called "Naijaphobia".

In this case, xenophobia involves the assassination of a Nigerian in South Africa by a South African, while Naijaphobia refers to the killing of a Nigerian by a Nigerian in Nigeria. A UN report reveals that Nigeria is the most dangerous place live on the planet. Given the ongoing massacres, murder and growing tensions in the country, the UN report could not be rejected.

Its beyond shadow of doubt, that all types of social circles involved in the ongoing Naijaphobia which is seen more dangerous than xenophobia, the Elite/ruling class and commoners, Muslim and Christian, North and South, Igbo, Hausa Yoruba and all other tribes. In fact nobody has been left behind in making the country dangerous place to live.

Moreover, the political class could be considered as the main actors of naïjaphobia. Corruption, nepotism and mismanagement of public funds by politicians and their allies have led many Nigerians to engage in various organized crimes against their fellow citizens.

Henceforth, these politicians are not content to plunder and extort public funds alone, but they also use religion and tribalism as tools to divide and promote hatred among the majority masses, in order to maintain the status quo, while citizens continue to suffer under abject poverty. Nicholas Machiavelli, a 14th century Roman philosopher, argued that a smart ruler should use religion as a weapon to control the minds of his subjects. A typical Nigerian politician is a concrete example of this postulation.

In addition, naïjaphobia is said to be fully present everywhere in Nigeria and its implications made many Nigerians to migrate to other countries. Here are the good examples of Naijaphobia to keep in mind.

*Activities of banditry across North West
* Farmers /Herders clashes in the middle belt and South East
* Boko Haram dilemma in North East
* Tiv/Jikun ethnic crisis
* Ethno religous violence in Kaduna and Plateau state
* Shiite /Sunni clashes in some part of North
* Inflammatory statements by politicians, religious and interest groups which heat the polity
* Streotyping a particular tribe, religion to a specific crime
* Abolishment of worship places both in North and South
* Regular clash between Hausa/Yoruba traders in South West.
* Humiliation of Nigerians by unconstitutional arrest and detention for being non indigenes.

Conclusively , Naijaphobia is more disastrous to Nigeria and Nigerians than Xenophobia. When Naijaphobia eliminated by Nigerians, Xenophobia will disappear itself.
