sod09:Amen!! Fire!! ![]() Ride on pastor sod |
IghravweIG:I won't lie, I want us to end our poor record at Anfield. As in, bad bad. But it is out of my hands. If our players turn up, the match will be very tough. |
IghravweIG:Welcome ![]() |
solomonbrown64:My broda, that's AMN biggest problem. If he does not root it out now, mehn... Lemme not say bad thing. Me, too. Win or lose, I'll enjoy the match. Anything can happen, but I'm not holding my breath. I just want a good performance, not our usual 'score 1 and get 3/4/5 free' ![]() |
solomonbrown64:Thanks, read it. But it doesn't really say much. Most Arsenal fans know that Ozil's time is up at the Emirates. Unless he recaptures his Madrid form or the season he had 18 assists before Christmas, or Injury keeps out Ceb (that's if he maintains his current form). What I'm more interested in our style of play. Sometimes you see it, most times it's sideways passing. I wish Unai can adopt peak Wengerball with this players. I'm confident we won't finish less than 3rd. If his own system clicks, it will be a very different Arsenal. One I'd like to see. I hope bellerin can still run. 9months is not a joke ooo. I have not KT play, but if he is as good as his FM stat says, then I'm excited. P.s. we need to move AMS to midfield, and get a proper RB. We are wasting his talent at RB. However, from the looks of it, I doubt Unai will move him there. |
TheKingIsHere:Bro, the reverse is the case. Marvel is the one financing the Spiderman movies. Sony gets 95% and Disney 5%. Hence why Disney proposed a 50/50 split. |
I like what someone said earlier, that Burnley can never play City the way they played us. The same with Liverpool. Although we call some of these teams small, they know how to smell blood (weakness), and they would never let go of the opportunity to beat a 'big' team. If we can develop an aggressive (not physical) style of play, one that would make most teams tremble, then some of the 'small' teams will mentally accept defeat once it's time to play us. It's just like United of those days, they might have a rubbish 11 playing, but they would win convincingly. All teams feared them then. Same with city and pool. I hope Arsenal can get back to those heights. By the way, I think Silent Stan actually cares about Arsenal or maybe it's Josh. But I like the new atmosphere around the club. Transfer window only closed a few days ago, yet they're already talking about January. Reading the comments of other Gunners on Reddit is not funny at all. Most expect another bashing while some are cautiously optimistic ![]() Mehn, I won't lie. I want us to win. I really do. Imagine beating Pool and Spurs back to back... I can't remember the last time we started the season 4/4. On a side note, the battle for the top 6 will be brutal this year. Everton, Wolves and Leicester are not easy teams to beat ooo... The race for top 6 will be more interesting than the title race. Hopefully, we are challenging for the title ![]() |
solomonbrown64:I don't think most people will agree with me, but I believe it's down to individual ability if you want to beat a pressing team. Take Ceb for example, he was able to wiggle out of tight spots down to his own ability. Sometimes, he took two men out of the equation even when pressed. Meanwhile, Guen and Wilock had a more difficult time. Forget Xhaka, everyone here knows my opinion about him (when pressed), Lucas, on the other hand, had a terrible day the last time we visited Anfield. He, too, can sometimes wiggle out of the press, but the only problem will be his fitness. To be honest, using any formation that has 3 at the back is an open invitation for pressure, and I think that is something bwe should avoid going to Anfield. Play 4 at the back with hardworking Midfielders, surrender possession and look for the counter. Although Liverpool are press Masters, they're human, too. Survive the onslaught of the first 30mins, grow into the game, then anything can happen. However, we must be extremely disciplined (that will be the real challenge for us). |
solomonbrown64:This is what I said a few days ago. If a good winger (pacy) faces AMN, they usually get the best of him, same with Monreal. I can't imagine Niles doing anything to stop Mane, I just can't see it. Monreal, too, can't match Salah for pace. The baba of them all Xhaka, if he plays, Gini and Henderson will press shege out of him, hence baba will make mistakes up and down. Well, unlike Liverpool, we are chasing Top 4 while they're chasing the Title. Once all our players return, and the team gel, we would give them a game at the Emirates. For now though, it would take a very disciplined performance and a little bit of luck for us to walkaway with something from there. It's been over 3+ years we beat Liverpool. |
solomonbrown64: If Burnley can do that to us, what do you think Liverpool will do? Especially at Anfield. If we can't comfortably beat Burnley's press, then a tough time awaits us against City and Liverpool. Those two are the Masters of pressing. |
Roland17:I don't blame him, those Burnley boys are bullish in their approach. Most teams will find it very difficult defending against them. We even tried. Last season, we would have conceded from one of their set piece. |
BigJoe19:My brother, he should have gotten help a long time ago. Some of them have mentel problem, but most of them are monsters, hiding under the term 'Mental Illness'. |
Sick!!! I honestly don't know how a matured man will find a minor sexually attractive. It's just sickening. |
BlueRayDick:So you expect majority of West Hams to go into the city game expecting something? A team that surpassed them with 46 points. You should indicate some fans go into games expecting a miracle against superior opposition. Because, most fans already know what could possibly happen. However, they attend/watch those games because they're fans. It's like having hope a lightweight boxer will beat a heavyweight boxer. Only on a rear day will that happen. However, let's agree to disagree. |
BlueRayDick:It's not that I've a defeatist mindset, I'm a realist. Everything I mentioned earlier always happens when we play Liverpool. Naturally, I want my team to win, but let's face reality. Liverpool are the superior team. Optimism is good, but sometimes you have to face reality. To be honest, if a team like Charlton is up against Liverpool, most of their fans will have zero expectations. It's not just possible. But, they'll be elated if they get a win/draw. But if you think otherwise, that's your opinion. |
Dreamswayne:Broda, that place is a slaughter house. If we can get a point, Omo we try. Our record there in recent years is very miserable. If monreal and AMN play, forget it, the game will be hard. Don't forget Xhaka will turn to daddy showkey once someone presses him, and Liverpool are the kings of pressing in EPL. Instead of going toe to toe with them, let's play on the counter. However, knowing our defense, I doubt they would be able to survive the continuous onslaught. I'm not expecting much from the match. A draw would be a very, very good result. |
TechCapon:What did I just read?!!! |
solomonbrown64: Even Messi and Ronaldo can't do that. I understand what you're saying, but I wish he was more clinical. If he can, score 30 EPL goals is not beyond him. I think he ranked 1st or 2nd on players who missed more chances last season. And he still scored 22. The guy is really good. If he was younger, he could have challenged Henry's record. |
Fkhalifa: Honestly, it's hard to predict something like that. You football is an unpredictable game. But I understand what you're saying. |
Fkhalifa:With VAR, Dean can't channel is attention seeking white mode. The only way the guy can fvvck us up is him he doesn't want to ref in the EPL again. Apart from that, VAR will handle him. |
solomonbrown64:No one can blame anybody for criticising Auba. Just imagine, baba misses a lot of sitters, yet he still has such a frightening stat. Imagine if he buries most of his chances. Mehn, I don't see any striker in the EPL that will come close, unless someone has a monster season like Salah two years ago. |
I hope everyone will be available for the match on sat. I wish we can transition from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3. That's the formation most top clubs use now, and we have the players to play it. However, if Unai can keeping with 4-2-3-1, then who am I to complain. |
sod09:My broda, I'm not happy with the lineup at all. Disappointed, but not surprised at all. Hopefully we win, if not.... |
ANGELINAX:See ehn, Unai does not know what will happen to him of he misbehaves this season. I was seriously praying we won't see that lineup, alas, Unai disappointed me. Hopefully we win, but I expect a lot of sideways passing. |
Spy360:Attack----Midfield----Defense. They are all rubbish. If I was the Newcastle manager, and I see that lineup, I'll fancy my chances of getting a win. |
sod09:Unai can do it ooo... I want us to play our strongest lineup. But my mind is telling, that might be the lineup. |
Since Ozil and Kola won't play tomorrow, Montreal and Wilock will step in for them. I've a sneaky feeling we won't see Pepe, Cabellos and Luiz in the starting 11. --------------------Auba---------------- Nelson --------Wilock----------Miki ----------Guen-----------Xhaka---------- Monreal-----Papa-------Chambers-----AMN --------------------Leno------------------ This might be outline up tomorrow. (If Laca is fit, then he will replace Nelson or Miki, but my money is on Nelson.) P.s. I don't want to see this lineup against Newcastle. Mahrez played today, Mane yesterday. So there is absolutely no reason for Unai not to play our big guns. He better not start nonsense with the first game, because the 3 & 4 game will be very difficult. |
Fkhalifa:Bro, don't let the fact that these teams concede against 'big' teams fool you that there defense is not good. Apart from A. Madrid, Barca has consistently had the second or third best defense in the league. Man for man, A. Madrid backline is not better than Barca's, but due to DS's system, they're all look like Goliaths. Since Pep took over City he has not dropped out top 3 defense in the league, Liverpool only beat them by one goal last season. In the last four years or more, no team in Germany has a better defense than Bayern, as in, no team comes close. In the last five years, PSG has a better defensive record than any other team, losing out twice by three goals. Bro, if you really think these guys only have a 'C' ranked defense, then truly I'm surprised. Fergie famously said, "Attackers win you games, but defenders win you titles." To me, I don't think he is wrong. Buying Coutinho is not a bad idea, but it would be reckless if we don't plan to strengthen our photos defense, first. I've read, let's win games buy 6-5, 10-9.... My answer to that is, what if we meet a rugged defense? What next? We score 1, and they score 3 or 4. Somebody mentioned Rodger's Liverpool, they had everything except the defense to win the league. They scored 101 Gail's and conceded 50!!! City on the other hand scored 102 and conceded 37. Imagine what would have happened if they had a better defense that year? If we setting up to attack, attack and attack this year, I'll enjoy bit as much as any other arsenal fan. But, at the back of my mind, I'd expect some thorough thrashing along the way. P.s. you have a right to your opinion, bro. And, this is not an attack, I'm just stating my opinion, too. |
iamoyindamola:I was just about to mention this. Tactics is the difference when two teams with similar strength meet. In fact, if used well, an underdog could blow away the favorite with 'good' tactics. I'm surprised that some people think tactics is somewhat overated. Especially in modern football. If Barca had a tactically sound coach, there is no way Roma or Liverpool would have done that nonsense to them. In my opinion, if you're not prepared tactically before a match, then you have lost that match already. Gone are the days, managers gather players and tell them to just play. |
sammymarvin:To be honest, AMN is not a rb. When he comes up against real wingers, they usually show him pepper. We need someone in that position. The guy is trying Sha. It's not easy playing out of position. With the number of players in our midfield, I doubt he'll ever get a chance there. |
Dreamswayne:Boss, it will be a 10/10 window. If it happens, Unai has no excuse to finish outside the Top 4, and should expect a sack letter if he does. |
