I just came back from a late night Avengers screening, and all I can say is - it's the joint best movie I've ever watched. For the first time in a long time, no part of the movie bore me, and the last hour of the movie made me feel like a kid again. I've not felt that way since the first avengers movie. I'm going to see it again on Monday or/and Tuesday
Thanos is one of the best badie to grace the silver screen.
It might have taken 10yrs, but it was worth the wait.
Corrosiveman: You will never win Anything....Man city were the team of the season they played beautiful football...Liverpool of last season is much better
I know it's your opinion, but... Do you watch ball at all? A team that has only lost once in the league this season, and is on track to claim 95+ points is not as good as a team that finished 4th last season?
pazienza: The Palace match was a sure 3points match if we fielded our strong team from start. If Emery wanted to gamble, common sense directs that the Wolves game, where even with full squad, we could still lose, should be the match to gamble on.
There is no making of excuses for Emery here, this is exactly how people started making excuses for failing Wenger until defending his blunders became a must for them, since their ego were already on the line and they could never accept that Wenger was no longer fit enough to manage a modern football club aspiring to operate at the highest echelon of European top level football.
The loss of yesterday rests squarely on Emery. No buts, no ifs , lest we enter a slippery road again.
Infact, I'm getting pissed off by the fact that Emery is beginning to acquire wenger ego driven stubborness which led him to stick to and continue repeating an already tried and failed formula, just to not accept the people criticism that he was wrong for picking the formula.
A similar line up to the one that lost to Palace yesterday was used by Emery against Everton. It backfired and Emery was rightly slated by the fans and media. Yet few days later, Emery was repeating the same starting line up, to what end? To prove that he is the boss, that everyone else is wrong but him? Was the ego trip worth our top 4 chances? This is so Wenger-esque from Emery, and if he continues this path, he might end up like Wenger pretty soon.
10/10
After seeing the line y.day... I lost interest in the match. Especially when I saw the midfield pairing. At times I wonder if it's only the fans that see the uselessness of these players. Mehn, those guys have luck ooo... If I was the Coach, I would have banned so many players from the first team.
The part that killed me y.day was when Mustafi tried to blame Leno... I was hoping somebody would rush over and land one sweet slap on his face.
Mehn... That wolves game will be tough. I don't know if we'll win or not. But, I hope we do. In the couple of games we have blown 2 chances to enter 3rd, and we were supposed to have the easiest fixtures
Jodera: Hello Fellow Gunners. I'm new here. Was just watching from sidelines since. On this thread, your either for Guen or against him...
Xavier5: My Avengers: Endgame Box Office Prediction:
Minimum: $1.5B Maximum: $2.8B Worldwide Weekend BO Opening: A Minimum Of $600M. Will It Grossed Over $1B Within One Week? 100%
It may end up becoming the highest grossing movie of all time over taking James Cameroon's AVATAR of $2.7B.
But I don't see the movie making $3B or over $3B. Why do I say so? MCU movies have the knack of slowing down their BO speed after their second theatrical week, they start up fast but slow down around that point. With the speed Avengers: Infinity War grossed over $1B in 11 days, one would expect the movie to gross over $3B going with that same speed within one month but nay, it's just slowed down dramatically after it's second week and ended up at $2.1B. Well that has always been the case with MCU movies and I see Avengers: Endgame towing this part, so that's why i say it's won't gross over $3B, well except the unpredictability of Life decides to work in it's Favour.
Anyways, Goodluck to Avengers: Endgame, MCU, Disney/ Marvel And The Marvel Fans Including The Trollers For Avengers: Endgame Sure Success.
The reason I WAS did not gross over $2.1B was because everyone knew it was not the 'end'. However, it's a different ball game with EG. This is the 'end' of a story that has lasted for more than 10 years. Bro, the hype is real. I don't know if it will smash $3B, but if it does, I don't think it will surprise anybody.
And, if Marvel is hell bent on surpassing Avatar, they should used the same strategy they used a decade or so ago. Give End Game an extended run in the cinemas. I doubt Marvel will do that though.
Eze2000: Fiction requires skill, not keywords, and that skill I have in abundance. I'm one of the best over in the literature section and i kid you not. At my start in 2016, i made over 50k on this forum selling my novels 500 to 1k per copy until only broke people where left (Not many ever managed that). Blogging never paid and i was borke for so long, wasted so many good years at it, and I discovered Amazon so late.
Just check the number of followers I have. and you may understand. That storytelling skill is one reason many cannot do novels etc. For example one of my novels sold five copies in on Good Friday and its not even a good novel by Amazon standards cos its based in Nigeria... it's about boko haram terrorists and the white guys don't like that stuff.
Leave Africa things to Africa... this lesson, among many, I learn the hard way but you got to be really gifted to write the white man's story in a way he will like it, stay glued and my next book is that followed by another and then another. Stephen King is not the only guy with a monopoly on imagination and this is one thing you will never get by outsourcing that's why fiction doesn't sell for you guys
Non-fiction stuff is easy to you but not so to me, particularly that keyword angle. It never quite flowed and I am always short on topics. But Novels... lol. As I am typing i have headache cos i got four novels in my head two of which are fantasy series that will run several episodes
My question now, sir, is, what is the next high sales period cos i just realized i missed easter sales. I also missed a lot of the winter sales period due to emotional depression and ignorance of its existence. I recognized these periods only observing the bump in sales on my dashboard but I was never ready. I wanna be ready for the next one.
Bro, it's good to be confident, but don't be overconfident. 90% of people outside Nigeria won't read 9ja style of fiction. Unlike nonfiction, it is far easier to 'sell' fiction novels (it you know what your doing). My humble advice for you is to publish one of your novels on sites like royalroad and Webnovel... See how other people from other parts of the world will react to it. You don't have to follow my advice though. Lastly, if your want to sell lots of books, either become a famous, or consistent author... Or, target holiday seasons (e.g. when student in America are out of school...)
If possible, write for the US audience. Because, that's where you'll get most of your sales from.
Disclaimer: Fiction or nonfiction, it doesn't really matter. If you can market your book well it will sell. It does not have to be good, a lot authors make serious money from publishing crap (fiction)... I'm not talking about 1-7k here ooo... 20k+
P.s. If your grammar is not good, please get an editor. You can publish without one, but your readers will kill the book via the reviews (if there are errors)...
Maket: A 419 I am currently chatting with told me to pay 500k to get the job. He as a senior officer is receiving 3milla every month. If I pay the money I will be placed on 2milla per month. Should I pay the money?
I just love this club. Everyday, we show the whole world we are the biggest club in the world. After Barca suffered in our hands, Everton is now suffering. I just can't imagine the sifia pains we'll put city through on Wednesday.
My God, what a team! What a performance! I'm so proud to support this team! After the fraud called Moanriho, Ole- Sir tactical masterclass, has come to breathe a new life into our team.
With Ole on the wheel, I can't imagine the new heights we'll attain.
LoRdCaT: Ajax are not joking oo. Have you seen those boys play? They could just beat Liverpool at the finals. That Drake curse is something else, although I don't believe it is real. Just coincidences.
1. LB to fight for a starting place with Kolasinac. 2. RW & LW - not 10-like wingers. We need players that are strong/physical, fast, skillful (can dribble), and most importantly, they can give a wicked cross. 3. CAM or AM - we need a Silva or De Bruyne kind of player in our team. Someone that can create, defend, and score.
I know must people will crucify me for not adding CB. I intentionally omitted it, because even a blind man knows we need one. But something tells me we won't sign one.
Papa... Kos... Holding... Mavp... Mustafi
We already have five defenders ( Monrel is there too), the transfer team may feel other areas need more attention (that does not mean thunder will not for them).
LoRdCaT: I actually see England claiming everything in Europe this year.
For UEL, it's almost 60% certain an English tram will win it. But UCL is a different beast on its own. If Liverpool can eliminate Barcelona, then it's almost certain they will win it. I don't see Spurs or Ajax beating them in a final. Unless Klopps final jinx strikes again, or a Liverpool player takes a selfie with Drake
KevinDein: Piotr Zielinski should be our target to replace Ramsey but I doubt Napoli would sell. Personally I've taken to this 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 system as I think it gets the best out of our key players; allows them to express their strengths without worrying about their flaws. Kolasinac and Bellerin bombing down the flanks is gonna be a thing of beauty. Seeing we do not have as much funds as the Manchester clubs and maybe Chelsea I rather we invest all of the rumoured 100 million pounds on Ramsey's replacement; a CM that suits Emery's system, a Banega type player and a really really good CB.
Give napoli 60 million pounds and we'll probably have Zielinski pinging those beautiful through balls for Laca and Auba to run to.
(Just feel like ranting )
Who knows if Napoli will sell for €60m. But the guy is a fantastic player. By the way, I don't Unai will continue with the 3 at the back formation next season. That is if he signs his own players. He likes to play a 4-2-4-1 formation. Well, anything can happen. A good coach is very flexible. Look at pep's formations through the years.
With our current momentum, I hope we can win our next three games. If we bag those wins, then it will take a huge bottle job for us not to make Top 4.
Meanwhile... I've heard a lot of people praising Pepe, but from what I've seen, the guy is nothing special. A good winger, but I don't see him taking the EPL by Strom. Especially when his asking price is €75m+
He looks like the kind of player that will need a considerable amount of time to adapt to the EPL. I may be wrong though, I just stating my opinion on the guy. Another thing, instead of going for another player like Ramsey. I feel this is the perfect opportunity for Arsenal to sign a Midfield General - someone that singlehandedly dominate an oppositions midfield. We don't have to sign superstars. There are hundreds to thousands of gems all over Europe. Our scouts should earn their wages.
Lastly, Arsenal cannot afford to be slow is this summer transfer window. Because, I see this summer as a summer where clubs will be hijacking deals. A lot of top club will be reinforcing. If you don't do your business early, several clubs will show interest in the player - inflating his price. And, I hope Emery will stay clear of model like players or players with known injury records.
I'm happy Emery is about to prove me earlier prediction of a 5th/6th place finish, wrong.
bimadek: Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 that focuses on Shao Kahn.
Fkhalifa: I don't want city or spurs near that trophy, but should one win, I'll go for spurs,so our fans feel the heat and pains which will be transfered to the club and may translate to the board investing ambitiously in the team.
Unfortunately, Stan does not give a flying fvk if spurs win the UCL before us. If it happens, we'll automatically become the smaller club among Chelsea and them. The thought alone is frightening.
Meanwhile, a lot of people are already underestimating them against Ajax. However, I see Spurs eliminating them. In fact, they might win both legs. Poch had a way of beating teams when the odds are against him. Look at Inter during the group stage & Dortmund during the R-16. But, I feel the winner of this year's competition will be decided on the Liverpool v Barcelona game.
I'm not ruling out spurs and Ajax, buy I feel those two will win it if they get to the final.
Finally, our boys cannot afford to do their usual away nonsense today. If they don't turn up, Napoli will send us packing in the most embarrassing way possible. Emery should pick a team that will settle the game in the first 25-30 mins. If we can survive that period, there is hope for us. Also, he should start a attacking line up. He should not invite pressure from Napoli by being defensive. With our away defensive worse, it will be a recipe for diaster.
Like others pointed out earlier, the first goal is crucial. If we get it, we have a 90% chance of progressing. But if Napoli gets it, it will be a long night for us.
Although it's not the UCL, I feel we have a great chance of winning the Cup. None of the remaining teams are on a superior level. In fact, Chelsea is the last stumbling block, and they are not better than us. If we meet in the final, we have a 50/50 of winning.
Raalsalghul: A video leaked with several major moments from Avengers Endgame:
-Professor Hulk sounds just like Mark Ruffalo, and can speak full sentences. He’s seen wearing a tank top and glasses.
-Scott, Hulk, Steve, and Tony travel to the battle of New York to retrieve the mind, space, and time stone. Steve fights his past self.
-Thor is living with Korg and Miek, getting drunk and not caring about what happened. Hulk and Rocket go to get him, and his beard and hair are messy and grown out.
-Tony calls Rocket “Ratchet,” and Rocket replies “you’re only a genius on Earth.”
-Hulk tried to wield the Stark gauntlet, but it appears to be too powerful for him.
-Steve dual wields his shield and Mjolnir, it’s unclear how mjolnir comes back.
-Sam is the first dusted avenger to come back, we hear him say to Steve “On Your Left,” then we see T’challa and Shuri coming out of a portal, and Sam flying out.
-Big scene with all the Avengers, including Wasp, the Guardians, Spider-Man, vs Thanos and a revived Black Order. It looks like the big fight in Ready Player One, but we actually care about the characters. Captain America finally says “Avengers Assemble!”
-Stark reunites with Peter and gives him a hug
-Carol gets the short hair she has in recent comics, and Peter Parker gives her the Stark Gauntlet
I'm pissed off already. I don't want CM to deal the final blow.
I'm glad the boys proved we are a bigger club than Barcelona. I wonder how De Ligt will join Barcelona or other small teams, after watching our triumphant display.
hakinze00: Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment announced at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago a new third-person action adventure game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on November 15.
ChristineC: you don't have a concrete base. MUFC is both bigger and wealthier than those clubs. If it's for UCL trophies, that would mean a club like Arsenal cannot win a player bid ahead Celtic or Steua Bucharest or Olympic Meseillle for that matter. Yes, it obviously sounds like rubbish to me too.
Let's agree to disagree... Arguing further will only waste our time.
By the way, finding a perfect analogy when comparing football clubs is also impossible.
