I actually need Man Utd to beat Liverpool. If Liverpool pull away from the pack that would mean 3 spots left to fight for with regards to UCL 20/21
3? cheesy grin

Do you mean 2? Because, City is miles ahead of another other team. Don't let the current league ta me fool you. Liverpool and City has taken the 1 & 2 position already. Other teams are fighting for 3 & 4.

this is wat i told some one that tammy will have 2 either over score kane or kane should get injured for him 2 bench kane in that team and dont forget na captain now nd he is white tammi is dark, i dont see him playing alot
I agree with your post. Tammy will need a Messi or Ronaldo or Salah's first season performance to bench Kane. The guy is the undisputed starting striker for England. Kane, 26, I'm sure he has another 4-5 years at the top. I wish Tammy good luck. Maybe another coach will favor him Kane in the future, or Kane's form will deep (that's not even a guarantee, Vardy on my mind).

Watching Arsenal is like chore. Gladly we got the 3 points, but the football is very annoying to watch. If Emery gets a new contract, e mean say the guy get better jazz man.

Please, people should give Pepe more time. E dey be like that sometimes. Not everybody adapts easily to a new league. Personally, I will give him this year off. However, from next season, no mercy. Hopefully, he wouldn't need that long.

P.s. I'm not saying he should not be criticized when he plays rubbish.

Oh. I have this sneaky feeling Chambers will be a very good DM.

.... Are you kidding me? Today's match was a tactical battle Oga. If we had gone full throttle, we would have paid dearly for it. Rashord's inability to find space for himself today was a blessing for us. Abi Una no see wetin dem do Chelsea? I didn't like the game but both coaches got it tactically. Like or not.
Tactical battle? That match?

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Maybe I was watching a different team. But, if it's the match they played today (Sep 30), Omo I did not see anything that resembled a tactical battle. However, what do I know? I'm only a Nairaland analyst.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by MrDojo(m): 10:40pm On Sep 30, 2019
To be honest, I can't be happy with the nonsense we played today. FFS, can't we play one match this season without playing like cowards? I've not enjoyed on match this season, and slowly, I'm losing interest in watching Arsenal matches. Because, we somehow make every single team better than they actually are.

I understand some fans opinion for wanting to give Emery more time, but they should also realize that the more time you give, the likelier things would go worse. But who knows, he could turn things around (I doubt, especially in terms of out style of play).

Finally, welcome to the EPL, Pepe. I remember when Sane newly entered the league, for the first six months, he was rubbish. But, he picked up from Jan of that year. Hopefully, Pepe will have a similar story. I can't imagine the kinda pressure on him now. And he is not helping his case.

Well, we are just six games in. Things can change around for a player within seconds. I pray Pepe finds his form. If not... Lemme just keep quiet.

Shout out to Saka, Guen and Chambers. They were the only people who looked as if they wanted to play ball. Leno did well too.

I know some people feel our defensive setup is better now, however, I don't agree. Everybody knows United is limited attack wise. A decent team will still show is shege, especially with our so called organization.

As much as I like Unai, please Arsenal use cane push him, Abeg. The guy is not a good fit for us. I can't imagine what will happen when we play Leicester, City and Chelsea. Those teams don't surrender possession to anybody. And we know Arsenal cannot survive under constant pressure.

It will be a fun season. Either we enter level of banter era or we get things right.

Lastly, I hope Chambers and Kola did not pull their hamstrings.

..... Today's game was quite tactical, kudos to both coaches for getting it right...

... I guess Emery knew that Pogba might start hence why he started Torreira yet Baba still found space to do his thing. Quality player that dude.

.... Emery will never go full throttle until we get our fullbacks back especially since Pepe who has yet to get his game right refuses to press. Saka had to come in to help sometimes and Guendouzi became more or less a winger completely. I really don't like his big man attitude on the pitch, he better ups his game before he joins the bench. Very dull display from him and please he should stop with those crosses of his, the thing dey kill morale.

.... We always come alive when we score and automatically seem to disregard the coach instructions but soon resort to default.

.... Xhaka had a good game but Guendouzi should be unleashed and should have more of our ball, he played more like a 6 today and did job his well, bailing us out numerous times but that's not his best position. He needs to brought more into the game else we will continue to struggle especially since we are playing without a ten.

.... Kudos to Auba, like it or not, he has really improved this season and now very deadly, one of the good things of Emery.

.... We play beautiful football when on full throttle but the fear of our defense keeps holding the team back. Leno had a great game. Good game for Saka to build confidence.

... Pepe has to do better, he really has to.
Tell me you're joking. shocked shocked I stopped reading after I saw that. I'm now confused if I watched another match. cry cry

If we don't kill United at OT, Omo e go pain me no be small. This is the worst United team I've seen in my life. Walai, he go pain me well if we draw or lose that match.

I hope Unai can take advantage of the slump in the form of our rivals. 3rd is a real possibility this year.

Finally, once KT regains match fitness, it will be difficult for Kola to displace him ooo. I know he played against a championship sid, but I was impressed.

P.s. Nelson will need to work very hard. The way I see things, Saka might not allow him to get those precious minutes. Chambers has to start against United (if he doesn't, it would be very unfair to him).

Oh, e be like say bench don format Mustafi ooo. Baba dey gather sense small small ooo. cheesy grin

this was one of the things I pointed out too, but folks here were carried away by drab wins against Newcastle and Burnley. He doesn’t set us up to create lot of scoring chances and even bring other players into scoring positions. If Laca and Auba should have an off day lasan no goal be that.

I cried from the rooftop that his methods were not sustainable in long run they said 3 points Na the koko. 8 points out of 15 and the future looks really bleak.

With Wenger the issue was that we were not consistent, with Emery we are consistent at playing drab.
Well, if they sack the man eventually. He can't blame anybody. He is the architect of his own downfall. Very, very stubborn nigga. Imagine playing five different formations 5 games.

Even if he goes on to win the next three games, nothing changes for me. Especially if we continue with our boring buildup.

I was watching Auba's morale after Watford scored the 1st goal and you could not tell he was deflated because he was working just as hard. He was tracking back to defend and start attacks from deep, only for the idiots to ruin all his effort by conceding a silly penalty. I really pity the guy and the guy is so durable with excellent conditioning.
Or course I want him to stay. Like I said, if I were to be in his shoes, never ooo cheesy

Except Lucas's goal, Auba and Laca have scored all our goals for this season. If village people want to finish us, let Auba have injury. That's when everybody will see the nonsense we are playing.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double was canceled because the center-backs of Arsenal had an afternoon to forget in Watford.

Sokratis and David Luiz were guilty for both of Watford’s goals, as three points were lost from timid decisions and lack of concentration.

Here is how we rated the performances of the Arsenal players…

Leno 6
Couple of good saves early on to help Arsenal nullify a solid Watford start. He could not have prevented both goals but he still made some saves in the dying minutes to ensure a point. He will be gutted to not have a clean sheet but he should be proud of his display.

Maitland-Niles 6
Apart from his assist for the first goal, he made a lot of school boy errors and was run ragged by Deulofeu. He has improved defensively but his flaws more than cover his efforts.

Sokratis 4

Horrendous error for Watford’s goal. Complete lack of awareness and paid the ....
