garfield1: How na? I thought Enugu north zone has 6 lgas dominated by nsukka while Enugu east has 6 lgas dominated by ngwo and wawa while Enugu west has 5 lgas which are udi, ezeagu, aninri, oji and awgu Prior to the creation of Enugu state in 1991, Isiuzo local government was part and parcel of Nsukka zone. The sentor that represnted Nsukka in the second republic, late Isiah Anih was from Isiuzo. After the state creation Isiuzo was carved into Enugu east senatorial zone, together with Nkanu, Nike and Enugu Ngwo. By population, Nkanu is the highest, reason why almost all elected positions have been occupied by people from that axis. |

Nwaetche: LIES! LIES!! LIES!!
These Agbadorians think that we would not have the time to watch the clip.
1. A PDP house of assembly member Naheem Abiodun Balogun campaign bus was seen campaigning with the LP campaign train which clearly shows the trend of using Obidient banner to campaign.
2. A handful Agberos were seen dragging the banner from the back of a pickup truck and asking the campaign to leave the area and not to campaign i their localities. 3. there was no mention from any Agbero about Lagos not been someone's Land as the reason for asking the team not to campaign in that particular area.
4. The majority of the people actually cheered the big open campaign bus that GRV was riding on to the chagrin of the Agberos. One can see that they are obviously angry that the people are receiving the message of redemption.
5. I did not see any Epe youth but a handful of Agberos that are not up to 5 in number.
I therefore ask all Nairalanders to make time and watch the clip. This show was obviously a setup by overwhelmed urchins to disparage and slow down GRV momentum Can you open a separate thread to counter the misinformation by Tinubu’s urchins. |

In Ebonyi, the APC won the three senatorial districts. In the House of Representatives, Apc won 4 federal constituencies, PDP won one (Afikpo), while Labour one one (Ohaozara/Ivo). Ironically Ohaozara is the federal constituency of the state governor dave umahi. |

Jorussia: This number is not correct. For example here in Edo 2 house of rep seats is going b decided next Saturday. The only rescheduled election in Edo is esan/igueben fed constituency which i gave to Apc when i compiled the list. In the event the election goes in favor of lp or Pdp, the number of seats Apc currently controls may shrink to 175 from 176. |

Politics › Re: APC May Become The Minority In The House Of Reps by mrhowoto(op): 7:05am On Mar 03, 2023 |
Dsalvo: In the list you produced all Parties, from NNPP downwards, will work with the ruling Party because APC has the political Carrot.
Sitting and elected Politicians in Nigeria, from Governors to legislators, usually only always join the ruling Party, or work with it, because it gives them affinity with the centre which is everything in Nigerian politics and often the difference between success and failure.
This is why Tinubu struggled for two decades to get to the centre. It is why Umahi and co will always join the ruling Party rather than the other way round.
Lastly, politicians are not like you and most ordinary Nigerians. They are not in office to fight silly and fruitless battles.
They want success and actualization of their permanent interest. This is often gauranteed by been close to or working for/with the centre rather than fighting the ruling Party. No one is talking about fighting the incoming president. Everyone knows that politicians are only interested in their pocket. This thread is premised on the opposition parties coming together to elect one of their own as the speaker of the 10th house of reps. |
Politics › APC May Become The Minority In The House Of Reps by mrhowoto(op): 6:42am On Mar 03, 2023 |
After last Saturday’s National Assembly election, below is the composition of the house of reps. APC - 176 PDP - 120 Labour - 35 NNPP - 19 APGA - 4 YPP - 2 SDP - 2 ADC- 2 The total number of members elected from the various opposition parties are 184. If the opposition parties work together, they may produce the speaker and principal members of the house of reps. |

[s] KenOne: Every tribe in Nigeria is lazy except the Igbo tribe.
If Hausa offends the Igbo's, you tag them as lazy and parasite.
Yoruba offends Igbo's same lazy people and dirty.
Ijaw offends Igbo too as usual they're lazy and drunk for their wives to carter for the family.
Now Ikwerre said we are not Igbo's they're lazy too and confused.
The Igbo's obsession with the Ikwerre's will be their undoing.
A country with over 200+ tribe and non is good with only one tribe the Igbo's, can one tribe be right and over 200+ wrong.
The Igbo's should check themselves something is really wrong with them.
Nigerians are hated abroad no thanks to the Igbo tribe, left to other 200+ tribes that makes up Nigeria getting a Visa to any Western country won't be a problem. [/s]

Muna4real: Well I have some suggestions for the ikwerres. The first two may look funny but No 3 is very important.
1) since you don't like igbo and don't want anything to do with their identity, then you should restructure yourselves. You claim you come from benin. Then you should adjust your language to suit the Benin identity. You can ask the Benin kingdom to help you with that. I'm serious ,this is not a joke. Let everything about you reflect Benin. You can even choose to throw away all languages related to igbo and adopt the Benin language. I think that's even the best thing to do. You can't be romancing with igbo and be igbophobic.
2) let your personal appearance reflect Benin. This is a humble request please. Don't wear our isiagu clothing or red cap for identification purposes. If you want to represent ikwerre, then adopt another clothing for yourself. Same goes to every original igbo identity.
3) Don't use our identity for political purposes. Some nigerians say igbo in politics bring bad luck, but I wonder why the ikwerres cannot use hausa, or Yoruba identity for their political ambition. Why must you claim to be igbo when you are looking for Abuja slots? Please use ikwerre henceforth. |
