APCLyingBastard: You are spewing trash.
Is it the Nigerian govt's fault that the SA police and govt can not arrest, try, convict and deport the drug dealers?
The SA minister even used a stereotype that all Nigerians are engaged in drug dealing thereby justifying and fuelling more xenophobic attacks.
This your analysis is dead on arrival.
The average black SA especially the mullato class are notoriously criminal minded.
Are Nigerians the one raping and robbing in SA?
The truth is that the Nigerian gangsters are motivated purely for money and not some bullsh!t gang banging ethos.
The Nigerian drug gangs are more successful and this is why they are being targeted.
Let's leave the Nigerian drug kingpins and consider other Africans in SA who are also targeted during such xenophobic riots. Are they also into drug peddling? The black SAs claim that the Zambians, Tanzanians are taking over their jobs.
This is just pure arrant nonsense spewed by the ruling ANC govt which has failed in job creation. The country is already experiencing recession and more and more white SAs are leaving SA for good over the racist policies of the ANC govt that wants to do a Zimbabwe 2.0 on White owned farms and businesses in what can only be described as Marxist wealth redistribution scheme to steal from wealthy whites and give to lazy SA blacks.
You must understand that the xenophobic riots are state sponsored to deflect from the massive failures of the socialist ANC to appease their lazy black supporters.
What is happening in SA is exactly what transpires in the north where their leaders instigate ethno-religious riots to both force a political agenda and to allow their almajiri mob rape and loot to their heart's desire. |

[s] deomelo: Well said.
It's a classic case of need, supply, demand and pure economics, but as usual, they sweep everything under tribalism and other rubbish.[/b] MetaPhysical: We've gone over this issue here before.
Location of airport is not based on federal character. When you build airport it has to generate income and be profitable. It also has to be sustainable.
SE is not gaining population. More people migrate out than are coming in so your net migration is a negative. Due to high rate of crime your higher class population...your elites who could afford air transportation on regular basis and encourage traffic in and out of the airport...are permanent migrants and dont even live in SE, their trip is seasonal. Theyd rather fly in and out of Lagos or Abuja or Kaduna every week for one business or the other than build a pattern of regular flights to Enugu and risk becoming target of kidnappers looking for ransom money.
Your low class ride bus to and fro, and even at that...buses going out run at full capacity whereas on their return trips their seats are hardly occupied.
So who is going to use Enugu Airport? How is it going to generate income if traffic is light?
You all think im joking when i say SE is deficient. [/s]Keep your advice to yourselves. Your skull mining region is in desperate need of attention. |

festacman: The insecurity in the Northern Nigeria has absolutely NOTHING to do with God's test. It has EVERYTHING to do with the failure of the Northern political and religious leaders to reform Almajiri education system.
When I came back home from my NYSC duty at Safana in Katsina State, I told my mother that Northern Nigeria was sitting on a keg of gunpowder given the number of male youths and children whose future have been destroyed and continued to be destroyed by the USELESS Almajiri system.
What is baffling is that till this very hour the breeding grounds of perpetrators of banditry, criminality and insurgency - the Almajiri system is still being encouraged while solutions are being sought where there is none.
If hunger dey wire you, you are penniless and high after sniffing some stuff and then somebody gives you small money to eat and gun to rob, kidnap, rustle for fair share of money realised, only a fool will say no!
Insecurity in the Northern Nigeria is just in chapter one with many chapters to go unless this Almajiri system is stopped and extensive employment opportunities are created in agriculture to absorb and financially empower these young able-bodied men.
For now WE ARE CHASING RATS while the house is burning fast. |
Politics › Re: The Letter That Show How Ojukwu Killed Victor Adebanjo. by mrhowoto: 9:21am On May 07, 2019 |
gidgiddy: The video is Banjo saying that he was arrested while waiting in the ante-room to see the "supreme commander", the title Ironsi went by while head of state. Banjo was arrested by Lt Col Kurubo and Major Anwunah on 17th of January, so obviously, the letter was addressed to Ironsi since that was the same day Ojukwu was appointed Military Governor of Eastern Nigeria. Banjo was in jail throughout the 6 months of Ironsi's regime.
What some people may not know is that Ojukwu actually helped Banjo, and Banjo repaid Ojukwu with treachery. Ojukwu ordered Banjo's release after Ironsi's death, gave Banjo an apartment at Government House Enugu. When Ojukwu declared Biafra, he promoted Banjo to Brigadier in the Biafran Army and charged him with the task of capturing Lagos
Banjo, Ifeajuna, Alele and Abam all plotted to remove Ojukwu. What Banjo did not know was that one of the people he recruited into the plot, Major Bernard Odogwu, was loyal to Ojukwu. It was Odogwu who recorded Banjo and other plotters in a meeting where they were putting finishing touches to their plans and took the evidence to Ojukwu. All 4 men were arrested and faced a tribunal where the tape was played. All 4 men were found guilty of treason and executed
Bernard Odogwu survived the war and wrote a book called "No place to hide: Crises and conflicts inside Biafra"
In this book, Odogwu detailed not only Banjo's plot to overthrow Ojukwu, he also included the transcripts of Banjos trial |

Pappyjim: “...Ghana has abolished VAT on real estate sales. Ghana has abolished VAT on financial services. Ghana has abolished capital gains tax on sales of shares on the stock exchange. Ghana has abolished import duty on spare parts. Ghana has abolished the 1% import levy. Ghana has abolished VAT on domestic airline tickets. Ghana has reduced very significantly VAT on small traders from 17.5% to 3%. Ghana is going to abolish all import duty on raw materials and machineries imported into Ghana.
Ghana is embarking on a massive industrialization drive called One District, One Factory. And there are 216 districts in Ghana. There is now a focus on production.
Now, Ghana has two major advantages: power issues sorted out and a peaceful democracy. Ghana with a population of 28m generates 4,577MW as at 2017. Nigeria with a population of 200m generates 5,000MW. Meanwhile, Ghana is building 2 power plants- a 400MW LNG-fired plant and a 600MW plant being built by Siemens.
Ok. What are the implications for Nigeria? We don't need soothsayers to predict how factories/companies will shut down in Nigeria and move to Ghana. Nigeria will just become a mere trading post for these companies because of our population while Ghana becomes the economic hub of West Africa. Our homes will be flooded with goods made in Ghana.
Other countries are thinking. Rwanda has taken our shine. Ethiopia has put on its thinking cap. Ghana has started an upward trajectory. Nigeria sits with its giant feet of clay. ...”

Unbiased1: Kigali is the capital of Rwanda and should be compared to Abuja. Kigali is being developed with by their federal government unlike Anambra that hardly gets any meaning infrastructure from the FG and u should also remember that Onitsha has a bigger urban landmass than Kigali which requires more money to spread infrastructure evenly across. I don't agree that kigali is bigger than onitsha (metropolitan inclusive ) in terms of landmass. However lagos generates more revenue than a large number of African countries but the city is an isore, dilapidated and a gheto. |

investnow2013: ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH, ONITSHA
The foundation stone of this Cathedral was laid on 9th November, 1949 by His Excellency, Sir John Stewart Macpherson, Governor General of Nigeria. The Cathedral was built in phases. The Lady Chapel was dedicated in 1952 by the Rt. Rev. A.M. Gelsthorpe, the Bishop in Sudan. The glass windows on either side of the sanctuary were dedicated by the Most Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Fisher, Archbishop of Canterbury on 25th September, 1960 and on 9th January, 1965. The sanctuary, High Altar and the Transeptal Tower were consecrated by the Most Rev. Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury. The Cathedral structure stood up sturdily to the pounding of the Nigerian civil war but the furniture was affected. Between 1972 and 1973, attention was devoted to various needed repairs. This was during the time of Rt. Rev Lucius Madubuko Uzodike. The Most Rev Dr. J.A. Onyemelukwe started his ministry as the Bishop on the Niger in 1975 with the challenge to complete the Cathedral. By 1982, the auxiliary offices were in use and considerable progress has been made over the Chapter House. The foundation stone of the Bell Tower was laid in 1991 and the remaining part of the same was completed in November 1992. On 1st November, 1992, the completed Cathedral was dedicated for worship by the Archbishop of Church of Nigeria, His Grace, the Most Rev. Joseph Abiodun Adetiloye assisted by the Most Rev. Dr. J.A. Onyemelukwe and other bishops of the Church of Nigeria. Our pride. Anytime i pass this edifice, I can't help but marvel at the beauty of this cathedral. |
