What's wrong with : "Yoruba is one of the most successful ethnic group in Africa" or "Yoruba is a successful ethnic group in Africa"?

That he declared Yoruba as the MOST successful ethnic group in Africa translates to him belittling other ethnic groups of Africa.

Why didn't he post it on Twitter? Why Facebook?

Hate and bigotry won’t let you see things clearly. He praised one tribe, he never put down any other tribe. The only issue you all have is that you know it’s true. Had he mentioned some other random tribe igbos wouldn’t have flooded his comments section responding to nonsense. Everyone praises their tribe every day on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

My question always is, why is it always only the IGBOS that have a problem with Yorubas and their success? You lot do realize you’re not the only tribe in Nigeria right? You never hear fulanis and ikwerres having heart attacks on posts like these. Why just the Igbos? Why are they so envious of the Yorubas?

They love to measure themselves against the Yorubas because they know deep down Yorubas are the yardstick for measurement for blacks globally. So when they see people praise the Yorubas, they are naturally envious and jealous.

Not emotional at all. Just telling you the truth. The same way the British own London is the same way Yorubas own Lagos. No amount of immigration will ever change that. But unlike the British, our culture is way too thick and concentrated to be penetrated. Understand this and know peace. See the Brazilians still practicing Ifa over 400 years later across the Atlantic. If you all aren’t careful Yoruba culture will eventually subsume Igbo. If you know you know, it may already be happening. What’s funny is that if it were Bauchi you wouldn’t care less about Lagos. It’s because we’ve built something amazing in Lagos you want to attach by force like igbos always do. The ikwerres are well aware of that. So are the Yorubas.

You lot better go back and build your states before we come there behind your back and take over business and development in your region. Those that are aware already see the southwest firms SE politicians are starting to bring in for construction and development. Once Eko Atlantic finishes no one will be able to compete with our technical know how. Not bragging, just stating facts. It comes from hard work and dedication. NOT attache by force or chest beating. You all still can’t seem to figure this out. I’ve given up on helping igbos see reason, Hausas, fulanis, Ijaws, Ikwerres, are all in Lagos and aren’t half as loud as you lot. What really is your tribe’s problem when it comes to Lagos? Why is it always you all covetously salivating over Lagos?

I'm from Delta but saying every Yoruba have family 'generationally' from Lagos is inaccurate.

Go and read the history of Yorubas, you'd see that before the British came, the people calling themselves Yorubas were at war for years. They're bounding together in Nigeria ti have a larger population to negotiate but these are recent history.

As long as one Nigeria exist, i have the same rights and liberty in Lagos as any Yoruba

Every Yoruba claim to be from Lagos State. Go and trace your root, your home town is not from Lagos State, almost everybody there are immigrants

every Yoruba has family generationally from Lagos. It’s the nerve center and foundation of the culture of modern Lagos. Where are you from? Aba I’m guessing?

Not at all. if Tinubu was more of a burden, why is it far and away the best performing state in the country instead of the FCT? Nearly 2 decades later and no state comes close. But Tinubu is holding the state back right? No sane person will believe that garbage. Of all the oil in the SS, all the focus FCT gets, no state comes close, and yet you say Tinubu is holding Lagos back, and the other governors are what? Pushing their states forward? The other day one of them said I’m confused that what’s the difference between trading and running a business. This is what I told him.

Wonderful development. When people say Yorubas aren’t in a class of their own when it comes to business, continue to show them people like this guy. There are even more other tribes from Nigeria in America, yet a Yoruba is the wealthiest Nigerian immigrant. Soon he will pass every other black american. Only entertainers and Robert Smith are ahead of him. If this company goes public he might pass Dangote. Thank God almighty that the Yorubas are blessed.

I just saw OgbeniDipo got into it with a few of them on Twitter. Apparently they are mad that he hasn’t been supporting their political candidate, and wanted to use this situation to destroy him.

Nairaland spilling into Twitter and I am glad. Tragedy with the girl but I’m glad it’s getting exposed that igbos have always hated Yorubas. Their deep seated hatred has been ignored and unchecked for far too long. I said it before, Tinubu will be the linchpin that exposes these beasts for what they are once and for all. They can’t help themselves to conceal their true nature past this point. And not even the liberal Yorubas would be able to ignore it.
