Welcomed development |
The suffersticated developers. Economy builders. Land of millionaires. Where exactly are the Igbos? Let it be Lagos they will be attacking Lagos, Tinubu and Yorubas all up and down. They are avoiding this like the plague. The people have trashed Biafra for 400 NAIRA?!?! CHAI! |
Tonim:wow these are gorgeous. |
The West and their imperialism has started again! They’re trying to prevent Ethiopia from industrializing and becoming a world power themselves. With the Renaissance dam that’s near completion, they would be a NET EXPORTER of electricity to neighboring countries, by about 50% of its electricity! They want to keep Ethiopia and Africa DARK as a result. So that people don’t get smarter and start demanding for their OWN natural resources. Instead of giving it to Apple, Microsoft, etc. at such cheap prices to make their computers, tech, and other products for western economies. When Africans realize they are poor because they are not building their OWN Apple, Microsoft, Nestle, etc that is syphoning off Africa’s natural resources for the west, and keeping that wealth for themselves, the west will plummet and likely enter a period of an African centered hegemony they may never be able to recover from. They are doing to Ethiopia what the west did to DRC, and tried to do to Zimbabwe and other countries. When the EFF in South Africa wins more elections, a party for black South Africans, and when they give the people back their land and Diamond mines, the west will come after South Africa next. I promise you white people are the most wicked people on earth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0iXlqy2qnM |
sherlock229:They know this. But they try to manufacture and change perception from reality to make their case. You should be medically insane to try to compare Aba with Ibadan. But they are crazy. |
Yorubas unmatched when it comes to software engineering. Kudos to her! |
Yorubas really don’t need any other group to be successful. Let’s face facts. Yorubas have billionaires in oil, telecoms, fashion, etc. And have quickly become the wealthiest in tech from Paystack to Flutterwave. We honestly dominate the entire continent when it comes to music (Wizkid, Burna Boy, Fela, Olamide, Davido, etc). Same with movies. Even have a female billionaire in Fashion and oil (Folarunsho Alakija). So whether it’s oil, Banking, Tech, Fashion, music, movies, we have everything we need. So why join another country? I would rather have an ethnically homogeneous country like Japan that hasn’t had any political strife basically since WWII. And that’s because they’re extremely restrictive with immigration. I would like Yoruba Nation to be the same, and also have a place for other Yoruba decendants in Benin, Togo, Brazil and other South American countries to come and visit to get back in touch with their roots. If only more Yorubas were in this page, it would be a wonderful sight to see. |
Ghana must go part 2 loading. |
Vaughanlanrewaj:I find it interesting as well but have found the answer. Someone else said it on this forum, that’s because Yoruba is a religion. Not just a tribe. Once I heard that it all makes sense. Our way of life supersedes cultures / religions so much so that foreign religions/cultures often bend to the Yoruba culture. Whether it be Santeria in South America, Hoodoo in the U.S. south, or the strong roots of Yoruba culture in Brazil after centuries, the Yoruba culture always survives wherever it goes. The culture is very strong. |
OneTemplate:This is the answer. If we can all accept this and be ruthless in pursuing what you laid out, we wild be better off. Fashola understood this long before anyone else and sent people packing back to their region. We need MORE of that. Not just on the state level but the regional level as well. Employment should be based on papers and state of origin. Much like how other countries operate, indigenes should be prioritized for all the jobs both skilled AND unskilled. |
OneTemplate:We definitely are unfortunately. But in order to remove ourselves from this situation we only need a small and strong group of 10% that evokes the ethnocentric and Machiavellian ideals we want to see replicated, chastise those that don’t act in this way (this is the most important part), and we’ll start to see changes. These traitors care more about what people think about them than anything else. We need to be the loudest group in the room to make them shift to supporting the group or be labeled the traitorous agents that they are. |
TheSupleemLeada:I agree, I’m always one to point out rising minor issues before they become major ones. But even right now, the young Yorubas are WAY too liberal. And that NEEDS to change. |
OlogoJ:This is very very true. It’s only a matter of time before they start getting called out for the Yoruba Traitors that they are. |
LegendHero:I’m seeing it as foolishness as well honestly. |
Asgard73:First of all, there’s no tribe that holds their corrupt politicians to task like Yorubas. The thing now is that people have begun to fabricate corruption and criminal charges on people like Tinubu/ Sanwo Olu with ZERO evidence or proof. And Yorubas are busy swallowing it like chicken. Meanwhile you have investigative journalism PROVING Obi committed a crime, he even admitted to having a business overseas to evade tax and not declaring it while in office (which is a crime), and igbos are boldly saying he’s innocent. There’s a difference between the two. |
I’m just sitting here wondering about the Peter Obi scandal. Not declaring all of your assets before getting into office is a crime. Period. And it’s quite clear that every Igbo on earth is making excuses and supporting this man. But my question is, when did Yorubas become so naive, and so traitorous?!? The Northerners have shown that they will NEVER turn on their own powerful politicians no matter what crime they do. The Igbos have shown they will NEVER turn on their own powerful politicians no matter what they do. So why is it only Yorubas performing SOPHISTICATED slowpoke AND BEING TRAITORS to other Yorubas by throwing Tinubu, Sanwo Olu under the bus? And when did this start? Does anyone have an answer? On Obi, it is clearly against the law to hold office without declaring all of your assets. Because when you DECLARE it, the government can ensure you are not using your position to give your business more money. If it is undeclared, how can it be tracked. But regardless, stealing or not, not declaring it before taking office is a crime. Just see the people below making excuses for this crime boldly and shamelessly.

nisai:exactly my point. If people want intellectuals, maybe they should go to university. This is politics. And no emotions will change that. |
stanluiz:Your candidate should turn their state into Lagos before even thinking of contesting. Can’t develop a community talk less of a state and they want to govern an entire 210 Million people. Can you imagine?!? |
Initially I was on the fence. But now I’m taking a liking to Tinubu. Yorubas need a STRONG MAN in presidency. We saw what happened with Obasanjo. Too many SOFT & SPINELESS Yoruba politicians. Let a strong and powerful Yoruba man get a chance. We see what he implemented in Lagos. Let him try his hand at the country. |
Tajbol4splend:This is the real truth. It actually started with Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to be more accurate in his early days of Radio Biafra. That Biafra war talking point came from him. He was the one that infected the Igbo tribe with the Yoruba hatred. Maybe because he was in the UK and is surrounded by so many thriving Yorubas, lots of well paid Yoruba doctors, professors, restaurant owners in the UK. He probably began to have inferiority complex. Things were fine before him. He started with the whole “Yoruba Demons”. He would have broadcasts denigrating Yoruba people. Calling Yorubas bastards and slaves. Igbos would parrot him. Then after a while of turning the other cheek Yorubas began giving them responses back. People who were here long enough know this. The damage has become irreparable. |
You can rationalize the south east governors actions as strategy all you want. But the fact remains that they are slow moving and have yet to act as a group. There is no strategy. 2 governors have already stated a stance against it. That shows there’s no stance or strategy, and if there is they’ve already shown they’re against it. Unless they go back on their word and support SS/SW. |
NubaVertigo:You can say whatever you want, but with how Wike has emerged as a leader in the region and his sentiments on IPOB, it’s clear that there’s no way he’ll agree to any Biafra of the sort. If a referendum is called the leaders set the terms. Biafra won’t even be an option. It’ll likely be a vote for South South republic or Nigeria. But time will tell. Wike is like a Phoenix. And chosen by the people. I think he’ll be a wonderful president of a South South nation. I don’t even see Europeans able to turn him into a puppet. His spine is made of steel. |
