Seafarers and project crew are reportedly missing following an explosion which occurred onboard a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening and it was also learnt that the unit belongs to Shebah Exploration and Production Company Limited (SEPCOL) located in Escravos area of Delta state. Instagram comedian, Sunday Joshua Martins, popularly known as Iam Degeneral has regained his freedom. The skit maker confirmed his release via his Facebook page. The prosecutor had told the court that the offences committed by the convicts are contrary to and punishable under section 11 (c) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ACT CAP N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 The prosecutor further urged the court to sentence the two men as prescribed by section 356(2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015, having pleaded guilty to the charge. But Justice Osiogor ruled that the volume of seized drug found with DeGeneral was minimal for which he could not sentence him and William. He therefore cautioned them urged them to go and sin no more.

President Buhari has urged Nigerians to send suggestions to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), so that they can reflect and plan well for a better outing in the World Cup. In the statement he shared on his Facebook page, he said "Even though the Super Eagles did not live up to our expectations in the AFCON match last night, they all, officials and players alike, deserve commendation for the tough fight they put up. Indeed they gave everyone the confidence that they were up to it, and I am sure it was something they could have achieved. Nonetheless, we should not write them off. She was kidnapped on Dec. 2 and killed by the school's proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko, and he recently confessed to the crime. Noble Kids Comprehensive College is located at Kwanar Dakata in Nassarawa local government area of Kano. Kano State police spokesman Abdullahi Kiyawa on Monday, Jan. 24, disclosed that angry youths set fire to the school in the middle of the night. He said there was no casualty in the incident, but parts of the school’s building were razed Kiyawa added that the police are yet to arrest any suspect in the incident. Reports say Tanko only rented the building to run his school. The structure belongs to another person who has not been implicated in Hanifa's alleged murder. Locals have been urged to desist from taking the law into their hands. Kano State Government last Friday ordered the immediate closure of the private school where Hanifa was abducted on December 2 by her teacher, Abdulmalik Tanko, who is also the proprietor of the private school.
