Even though I don’t like given poor folks idea’s of making money or “ Hammering” using Niaja lingo for sudden money or wealth!!! Against a man of God, What OF if this poor lady from Imo State sues the Pastor, she would probably win, anyway I hope she does not? lipsrsealed

Why would she sue when she was paid by the church to say "shes a winch for Jesus" . Religion has been turned into a means of achieving selfish goals for different people in Nigeria.  so called christians use it as a means of making money while muslims use it as a tool for intimidation. < my two cents.

Good idea, but will Nigerian parents allow their kids to take food from outsiders? I remember growing up in lagos i was trained to never take food offered to me by outsiders (cousins and family friends included).
Business / Re: Have You Collected Your Xmas Rice? by MrMechEng(m): 7:04pm On Dec 16, 2011
Management organized xmas party at a lounge with free finger food and drinks included, asked staff members to sign up if they will come. so far only 12 people signed up out of a staff of >100. grin
NYSC / Re: Corpers' Lodge: Ask Questions & Share Your NYSC Experience by MrMechEng(m): 6:52pm On Dec 16, 2011
Bimmykins:

Hi,
I have lived in England all of my life and after graduating from university I feel it's time for me to take a step into the unknown. Nigeria has always really intrigued me and although my siblings and friends who grew up in Nigeria yet are currently schooling in the UK are adamant not to return I really want to discover my native-land. I am kinda nervous about NYSC though. Lots of my friends say that I will be exploited and made fun of seeing as I've never been in Nigeria longer than 3 weeks, vaguely understand the language, and have a very strong english accent. Are people really that mean to international students? and does anyone know if one is allowed to stay at the camp by day and go home by night?

strong english accent - this might work to your advantage. most Nigerians would want to be friends with "omo yankee"

How old are you, genger and do you have close family members in Nigeria who you are close to and can rely on for help?
Politics / Re: The New Ikeja Mall. Pics. Another Eko O Ni Baje Moment. by MrMechEng(m): 6:33pm On Dec 16, 2011
Eko o ni baje.  i cant wait to visit lagos in February,  unlike some of you pessimist in this forum, i applaud Eko-ile for pointing out these great developments to us living in the west.  These kinds of private investments and developments in the commercial sector of our economy is a great way to reduce crime and provide employment for the youth.  More grease to your elbows our dear Action governor.  EKO O NI BAJE!!!
