Have u forgotten the ban will affect other citizens with dual Citizenship, like a British citizen who is also a citizen by birth in Iraq? Or a US Citizen who is also a Cituzen by birth in Syria?

How does removing Nigeria from the lottery program stop Nigerians from obtain Visas in whatever category to travel ti the states. How does it affect parents who are citizens from filing for their children, how does it stop Permanent residence or green card by way of marriage? My stop bothering me with baseless rants

He was of the opinion that it getting to parliament would mean that the UK government would back track. They wouldn't. They've been playing International politics for centuries. In fact, they set the rules others are following. So, if one uninformed hate-filled lefty thinks a signed petition will downgrade Donald's visit, that person needs to smell the coffee.

We need to understand that there's a difference between criticism and blanket-hate.

When Obama barred Iraqi's for 6 months from entering the US in 2011, there weren't these many protests and petitions. Of course, there was opposition, but it was constructive and structured. This isn't.

There are parts of the executive order that needs straightening out. But a lot of these people don't want to converse, they just want to bully the Trump presidency into submission. That wouldn't work anymore.

May went to Washington and was able to convince Trump to give his word that torture isn't coming back, and that the US will back NATO 100%. She did that without sounding like the millennial in Canada. I'm a center-left, but I'm completely disappointed in the response of Liberals to Trump.

We need to keep him on his toes not degrade him like all the stop-inauguration calls, impeachment calls, and anti-Trump rhetoric. The left HATES Trump. The right NEVER HATED Obama (he was admired by the right even when they battled). Where is the fairness in that?

My point is that we can get Trump to compromise but not by hating his guts. That's just going not going to cut it. Ironically, the LEFT never learns. This is how we antagonized the Brexit supporters without providing any satisfying response to their concerns and antagonized Trump supporters before the exit vote and US election respectively. It didn't work then. It wouldn't work now!

We need to get our act together, the age of bullying people to accept opinions is long gone.

May sided with the goverment during the campaign and QUIETLY supported the Remain block because she was a top official in the govt. of Cameroun who was a staunch Remain proponent.

But remeber that the Exit block called for Cameroun's resignation immidiately after the referendum because of his glaringly anti-Exit stance , which May was never known for. By making such a broad, blanket ban, Trump has actually stopped people who were already in the US legally with H1B visas and Green Cards (aka permanent residents), got those by having multiple degrees from top schools, and are doing important highly skilled work at companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft and many others. If these people happened to be overseas at the moment whether visiting family, or on a business trip, or on vacation, they're getting stopped and not allowed to come back to what has been their home for at least 10 years in the case of Green Card holders.

To obtain an H1B work visa, you go through a pretty stringent background check already. To obtain a Green Card, you go through a 6 months FBI led background check. Having been through this process, it is extensive and daunting.

These people not only are not terrorists now, or at risk of becoming terrorists later, they are contributing immensely to USA. Many of them had unique skills that their employers could not find in the US(similar to what Facebook said in his post). For an employer to hire someone and sponsor them for a Green Card costs upwards of $20k more than just hiring someone local, and way more than that in inconvenience and time. They don't do this unless they don't have other options.

So this is not a well thought out and temporary move. It's a disaster for thousands of families who have been living in the states and contributing to the society, just because they happen to have been born in one of these countries.
