PoliticsInec: Mahmood Yakubu Promises That Election Result Wont Take Long Than 2015 by mrox4d(op): 4:45am On Feb 21, 2019
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the timeframe for result declaration of the 2019 Presidential Election. The commission assured that the results would not take longer than the 2015 elections, in spite of the number of presidential candidates, size of the result sheets and increased voter population. INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu said this on Wednesday in Abuja while briefing journalists on the state of preparedness of the commission for the polls. Yakubu said the commission was working to ensure that it does not keep Nigerians waiting for days without declaring the results. He said the time limit would not exceed what obtained in 2015. Recall that in 2015, while the Presidential Election held on a Saturday, a winner was not declared until the following Wednesday. Mahmood said: “Even though this time around we have more presidential candidates than in 2015, we have more registered voters than we had in 2015, the size of the result sheet is bigger than we had in 2015, but we are committed to concluding the process for the Presidential elections roughly about the same time that we concluded the 2015 general elections.” “We will do whatever we can to ensure that we speedily conclude the process but we won’t sacrifice accuracy for speed”, he declared.

PoliticsFact: See How Atiku And Obasenjo Political Friendship Started by mrox4d(op): 4:34am On Feb 21, 2019
A new book has revealed how former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, saved ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president in 1999. Atiku and Obasanjo According to the new book, entitled ‘’Too Good to Die: Third Term and the Myth of the Indispensable Man in Africa,’ Atiku made all his resources available for Obasanjo’s presidential campaign. The book, written by former chairman of National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, and Ayisha Osori, author of ‘’Love Does Not Win Elections,” also revealed how Obasanjo beat late Alex Ekwueme to the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 1999 election. Quoting an account from Atiku, the authors said the trio of Ibrahim Babangida, Theophilus Danjuma and Abdulsalami Abubakar wanted PDP to adopt Obasanjo as their presidential candidate “because they considered him the best person for the job.” “Implicit in their position was their belief that they knew how to manipulate Obasanjo and the fact that Obasanjo did their bidding in 1979. They felt secure that he could be managed again,” the authors wrote. Atiku was reportedly asked to join a team to Ogun to inform Obasanjo that he was going to run for the highest office in the land. “When Atiku and Obasanjo discussed the call to serve as president, Obasanjo said he could not be president because he was a nearly bankrupt ex-convict. Atiku, through General (Aliyu) Gusau, paid money into Obasanjo’s account to begin his financial rehabilitation. “Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar helped out by granting him an unconditional pardon. Atiku put everything he had at his disposal to support Obasanjo’s emergence as the PDP presidential candidate and, when he joined the ticket as the vice-presidential nominee, continued to make his assets available to Obasanjo and the campaign. “During a campaign stop in Atiku’s village, Jada, Adamawa State, Obasanjo spent a night in Atiku’s home. When he woke up the next day, he reportedly asked Atiku when he built the house and, to Atiku’s response, reportedly retorted: “(I) will never be poor again,’’ the book recounted. Atiku served as vice-president to Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007. He aspired to succeed Obasanjo in 2003 but the elder statesman went ahead to complete another term. By 2007 when Obasanjo’s second term ended, both men had fallen apart. Obasanjo’s plan to go for a third term was also said to have worsened their dispute. Obasanjo recently kicked against Atiku’s presidential ambition, saying the former vice-president “can never enjoy” his support for a political office.

CultureIdentity Is A Responsibility by mrox4d(op): 11:48pm On Jan 17, 2019
We find ourselves in a capacious but yet a clandestine world as a result of blithering embracement of western culture and values called civilisation. Why should we tend to embibe foreign cultures that are drastically distinct from our mother's culture? Why should we believe that english language is more consequential and alabastic, that ours is antique and unallure, this is why we find our languages absconding to extinction. Cant you see they are trying to sell their culture to us at an expensive rate and buying ours for free? We find our artisteries in their museums and tourist centers where tourist (including nigerians) visits and pays, while we dont value them over here. Have they not succeded? Of course yes, do you want to know how? Ok see how many nigerians can actually speak their mother tongue and how many britians can speak theirs? Well axiomatically 100% of educated britians can while less than 40% of educated nigerians can manage to. That is why they know our tribal, ethnic, local & national secretes because all this are in their books written in english language, how many of our books of history are written in our local dialects? As if this was not enough, i also learnt that the federal government has scrapped History and our local dialects from schools sylabus because of insufficeint suppy of teachers in this disciplines. Is this not a stigma? Before colonization we were interacting and trading with each other in Nigeria, within africa and the world at large, what was the shenanigan? ...WELL I AM OF THE CONSTRUE THAT EDUCATION DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULDN'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE,WHERE YOU ARE FROM & WHERE YOU WANT TO GO... Feel free to drop your post-mortem advice or solutions to this antsy corrigendum.... thank you my fans...i remain your one and only MR OX4D

This is a bugaboo of a bragadoic senator who sees his personal affluence and capacious grandiloquence as vintage to the privation of the masses. This reminds me, are you to accentuate your assset in the public? That means you are making mockery of the people you are representing that they dont have what you have...this is cupidity.

THE RECENT DECLARATION OF INTENTION BY buhari TO RUN FOR THE ELECTION IS A DROP OF WATER IN AN OCEAN TO ME AND OTHERS WHO SUPPORT MY CONSTRUE. THE LOW PEDIGREE OF REACTION FROM NIGERIANS IS A BUGABOO TO ACCENTUATE THAT THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT LIVE UP TO EXPECTATION OVER THEIR PROMISE AND IT IS CERTAIN THAT BUHARI IS GOING TO WIN THE SUBSEQUENT ELECTION BY POWER OF INCUBENCY AND SHOULD NOT BOTHER DECIEVING THEIRSELVES THAT THEY ARE WORKING FOR THE MASSES BECAUSE WE KNOW THEY ARE WORKING FOR THE MIGHTY
