soladnet14: Please help! My s2 will start rebooting wherever i switch my Bluetooth on.
I suspect the Bluetooth IC is faulty.
First try to reflash the EFS and/or Modem firmware.
If that doesnt help, 100% the bluetooth IC is defective.
That can only be fixed by high techs. Search for one in your city and discuss with him, you will know from his response if he is good enough

Rajgan4edu: Hello all, I'm faced with a big dilemma now, I don't know which one to choose between Samsung Galaxy s3 and note 2, please ur honest advice would be appreciated,
Also, how do I identify the original or international versions of the 2 phones?? when I check about phone under settings. what should I look for to be sure I'm not buying a clone? thanks
I'm buying a London used o.
s3 seems a better option. If you can lay your hands on the T-Mobile USA version (T999) the best.
You see the intl version and most other versions are fitted with the corruptible eMMC, and the access to boot (in case of repair) is deactivated, while the T999 has a direct access on board.

Dont blame me, im advicing from a Technicians point of view
PhonesRe: Pls, I Need A Solution by mrph: 9:58pm On Nov 08, 2013
Thats a classic example of sudden death in BB phones.
Its fixable, but you will loose all your data.
Its not something an end user can do as you require some pro softwares (which are dongle protected).

Some cases even when PC cant detect it (with/without ba3), its still fixable

I am not a regular on this boards, but just seeing this sub-forum, I wish to assist and offer something to keep it growing.
I am a GSM software repairs expert based in Port Harcourt and am willing to assist those who want to learn or feel I can assist them.

For now, the hot jobs are:

- Repair of Sudden Death (Dead Boot) Samsung Android Phones - S3, S4, Note2, Grand, etc. I fix them in 30 mins.
- Repair of Cracked LCD Screens on most expensive Samsung and Apple phones - s2. s3, s4, Note1/2, Grand, Premiere, s3/s4 Mini. The price to change LCD's of these phones cost about N9,000 - N38,000 depending on model. For this, you can get it repaired for less than half the cost.

NOTE - SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTERS DONT/CANT DO THESE JOBS FOR NOW, as long as I know.

Without sounding like im advertising, these services im willing to offer free to those I perceive as great contributors to this forum.

If the mods allow, I can attach my numbers, but for now, I wont

WebmastersDirect Sms Api Gateway For Nigeria by mrph(op): 8:48pm On Jan 18, 2012
I am in the process of setting up an online business and I intend to integrate SMS sending (users can send out SMS's).

Now I have used about 4 of the top bulk SMS providers in Nigeria at diff times. Though they are good, sometimes they can screw you up with very late delivery.

I also own another online biz www.phone-unlock-codes.com which has 3 APIs tied to it, and I realise that sometimes it takes 1-5 mins for the transition from original gateway to my site.

Bearing the above 2 scenarios in mind, I want to get as close to the main source as possible, as the biz im setting up now has little space for late SMS delivery.

Can experienced guys pls suggest to me SMS gateways which these Nigeria SMS provides use?

Also suggesting a good Nigeria SMS Gateway with API is welcome. Price isnt my issue, but speed and reliability.

Thanks

LOL,
Well, what I was proposing didnt need you have anything except the usb cable Ca-101 (which comes with phone - same as BB).
Before 2 weeks our 2nd server for this particular service will come onstream - dedicated to remote unlock. Was just trying to use it outside of the site (its not public yet)

As for what he said, yes the software is free online, but it requires a bruteforcing-capable PC (which costs about 3000 Euros), and not just that, u need a super cooling system (not ordinary CPU fan) and steady power. If the system isnt cooled, u might just blow up your house. Seriously, be warned !!!!!!
PhonesRe: How Can I Unlock My Nokia N97 by mrph: 6:31am On Nov 01, 2011
Well emmmm,
I had issues with Buteforce unlocking.
I had some access to a popoular server, but they reduced their prices and many ppl around the world jumped in and as at the last count their delivery time increased to about 5 days (from withing hours)
This made me auction the remaining logs access.
We are currently testing another server and so far its very promising, within 2 hours.
If u can afford, give me 1 day more lets conclude and I'll get back.

BTW,
If u cant read the sha, hit me on phone btw 11am-2pm, I will setup something remotely and read the phone from my end if you connect it to a PC, then we move from there

PhonesRe: How Can I Unlock My Nokia N97 by mrph: 7:01am On Oct 28, 2011
By N97 I assume u mean Nokia N97
Its simple. You sign up for free.
There are 2 ways -
1. You have to know what network your phone is locked to (1 suggestion to know is if there is a sim in it, then u look at d name of d network on d sim. You can also know by what we call wake up graphics - that is the name of the network that shows as the phone is powering on, but be careful here, example - u might see T Mobile, but u don't know if its T mobile UK, TMobile USA, etc. This is very important.

But if u are able to positively determine ur N97 network, then after registering on our site, u go to the Place Order Tab, using the drop down, look for the name of that network under Nokia BB5 and select it. The in the IMEI space, type the 15 digits serial number of ur phone (get it by pressing *#06# on ur phone) and then click place order.

Sorry I forgot to add u should have some funds B4 u can do this. So sfter u select ur phone network from the list, u will auto see the amount and duration.
Now u have to pay that amount (or more if u have more phones to unlock). For now its only d bank transfer that is active (atm payment not yet activated )
To pay simply click on the the 1st menu tab, and somewhere there u will see the add funds tab. Click on it, now write the amount u saw for your phone (or more if u wish) select Nigeria Bank transfer as payment process, the system will generate an invoice and mail it to you, and inside the invoice u will see our UBA account number.
Once u pay (with ur sign up name for faster processing) we will credit ur account, then u go back to the site and add d phone and get the unlock code.
Any issues call me 08023079359
PhonesRe: Unlock Your Fones Free Of Charge by mrph: 11:25am On Oct 20, 2011
@Jereal,
Sure. www.phone-unlock-codes.com does support that phone
Use the Option "All Huawei (U7xxx, U8xxx, G66xx, S7, )

But 1 caution:
Please check first if you can enter an unlock code for the Huawei
If the U82XX phone ask for“SIM network unlock PIN” you can order the code.
U81XX/U75XX: Make sure you have "remain times" before you order the code.
This tools only have a "SIM network unlock PIN"

If the phone asks for "simlock block unlock reset key" then u have to use the other option "Huawei Simlock Block Unlock Reset Key"
This tools codes include simlock "block unlock reset key" and "SIM network unlock PIN"

Check it out

@uthamaputi,
Why recommend a foreign unlock server, when there is a Nigeria based unlock server that can do it cheaper? Moreover, www.phone-unlock-codes.com accepts Naira online
PhonesRe: Unlock Your Fones Free Of Charge by mrph: 12:26am On Oct 16, 2011
@habiola7 and bukason,
You cant get restriction codes for those phones free (as it costs money).
You can either take them to an unlock shop or use online unlock servers like phone-unlock-codes.com

PhonesRe: How Do I Unlock Blackberry Phones? by mrph: 6:01pm On Oct 12, 2011
why use european server ?
U can use a server right here in Naija and pay in Naira:
phone-unlock-codes dot com
PhonesRe: How Can I Unlock My Nokia N97 by mrph: 5:59pm On Oct 12, 2011
Those are sl3 phones:

There are 3 ways -
1. By bruteforce unlocking with super computer that costs around 2,000 euros and some pcs of software
2. Some unlockers (like my office) can unlock for you thru a bruteforce server 1-24 hours depending on who u meet
3. U can unlock your self via our online server - phone-unlock-codes dot com by simply signing up for a free account and inputing your IMEI and other parameters, you then pay to our account or thru your ATM debit card (or credit card / paypal - for those outside Naija) and get ur code within the stipulated time.

goodluck
PhonesRe: Help Me Unlock My Iphone by mrph: 5:54pm On Oct 12, 2011
Sorry, didnt ask d model:

2G - Restore with original ipsw,
Restore again with Custom ipsw (will auto jailbreak and unlock it)

3G - Restore with Orig ipsw,
Jailbreak with redsnow (choosing same orig ipsw)
upload both ultrasnow files

3Gs- If u have not saved your shsh blobs or you are not sure , DO NOT RESTORE for now !!!!!!!!!!!!!
If u are sure you had saved it sometime, Restore to LATEST ipsw 4.3.5 (cant restore any other anyhows),
Jailbreak with redsnow latest (using ipsw 4.3.4) - It will be a tethered phone - meaning u will need redsnow to boot the phone if it goes off
Upload both ultrasnow files into phone, Restart (and boot with redsnow)
Restore your saved shsh with relevant software.
Enjoy
Or unlock permanent (and no tether) with a service like our's right here in Naija

iPhone 4 - Same thing as iPhone 3Gs
Only diff is that after booting phone, dont upload anything.
Just unlock phone with Gevey Sim (Temporary unlock)
Or unlock permanent (and no tether) with a service like our's right here in Naija

phone-unlock-codes dot com

Good luck
PhonesRe: Help Me Unlock My Iphone by mrph: 5:45pm On Oct 12, 2011
From tomorrow, you can unlock FACTORY all iPhones (incl iPhone 4) on our server here in Naija phone-unlock-codes dot com

But if u want to unlock this as temporary unlock (each time you restore, it locks back) then you just jailbreak it and upload the 2 ultrasn0w files into the cydia and restart phone 2ice

Good luck
PhonesRe: How Do I Indentify A China Iphone? by mrph: 5:42pm On Oct 12, 2011
Most Chinese phones use same software.
So just take a chinese phone, look at the display and note it
When next u see a phone if it displays like that, its most likely its a chinese phone
PhonesRe: Unlock Your Fones Free Of Charge by mrph: 5:40pm On Oct 12, 2011
