Thanks man, As much as I know, Buses are yet to be very professional. I think they will bring the image of our service to disrepute. I'v bought some stuff which were delivered by them, and I still remember I how I felt. Above all, most of them force you to go to their dirty offices to pick your stuff, even after they were paid to deliver to your door. Unless there is a very serious bus company, I doubt I trust them |
I am completing plans to deploy a retail eCommerce business in Nigeria and amongst the info I need is the best option for delivery service to the customers. By BEST, I dont mean DHL or FEDEX, but I need a mixture of relatives, eg: National coverage (or at least delivery to most of the important capitals) Reasonable pricing with customer in mind Various pricing options (eg - 1 item or 5 items in 1 order) Quick delivery time etc etc Also any other advice is welcome about setting up and deploying this service |
@Seun, hich are the top sites in Nigeria today? |
This is kinda old, BUT im in the process of deploying an online shop in Nigeria based on magento and im wondering if these info and prices here are still up to date: Is interswitch still 150k setup and 1.5% each transaction ? Is etransact still 120k setup and what are their transaction fees? Is etransact still only on 2 banks? If so, I doubt its worth more than 10K Advice pls |
This may be very late, BUT, I need info on the process and amount involved to get an interswitch (any other?) payment gateway on a site im articulating for online shoping in Nigeria. Have the prices been updated ? |
Possible to integrate with Magento open-source e-commerce system ? I am in the process of deploying an online shop in Nigeria using magento and need the payment system |

Thanks all for ur contributions. I would like to answer some of the Q's iykewin asked: 1. I am d owner of the company, and according to info (or as I believed) the more docs u submit, the better ur chances, and (man) its not possible to get all docs urself. Even u cannot do that, its an uncle that does all my govt papers for me. 2. Hmm, I think this Q is irreleveant. There is provison for "Out of wedding" spouse abi 1 has the right to a kid even without being wedded. Moreover some guys also suggested they would better believe u will return if u have a compelling reason to. I believe a less than 3 year old child is enuf compelling reason to return home to.3. Well, she didnt arrange an IV for wedding prep because she has non (maybe i will start that now -if it becomes unnecessary, then i litter it). And then i just did her introduction (knocking of hand), maybe I will use the pix as traditional marriage !!!!!!! Then again, I still believe that in big companies (which im presenting mine as), jobs are assigned as the CEO cannot do everything himself, hence a staff can go and pay tax clearance for his company. So I tot. Lastly, by "Akawo", I mean a kind of life assurance product by insurance companies where you pay daily (or as much as u can) and redeem it at the end of the year. Just like akawo, only that if the person dies, the next of kin is paid the total amount that the daily contribution was suppose to be. |
@Akolawole, Thanks for d reply, I have not submitted the lawyers letter (which primarily refered to the fake Tax CC) nor the new application. I am here to see the pro's and con's. I trust u should have something tangible to contribute, even as per the other Q's !!!! |
Hi all, I seem to like it here. Proudly Naija, My Spouse applied for a Visiting UK Visa october 2008 and was denied by the following reasons: She stated that she wants to travel so she can shop for our wedding. She included almost all docs: Employment letter 2 promotion letters salary slips her hotel accomodation payment slip in her email a fat bank account (more than 2x M) and covering letter from her emp[loyer my own company bank statement (less than 1M) my companys Tax cerificate (FAKE - I didnt know - made by an uncle) Her personal bank account (above 1M) Her Childs birth certificate and some other letters here and there The ECO's decision I have refused your visa application on this occasion because I am not satisfied, on the basis of probabilities, the you meet all the requirements of paragraph 41 of the immigration rules. This decision was made on the merits of this application. I have also considered your application under section 320 (7A) of the immigration rules which states that an application is to be refused: Where false representations have been made or false documents have been submitted (whether or not material to the appliaction, and whether or not to the applicants knowledge), or material facts have not been disclosed, in relation to the application. They went on to state that the Tax Clearance certificate was found to be forged, and when I confronted my uncled that did it for me (when I applied for a company registration for contracts), he confirmed it wasnt really good for Visa application, only for local coonsumption. etc BUT, HER CASE DOES NOT CARRY A FULL RIGHT OF APPEAL and they stamped something on her passport as follows: 447957 UK ABUJA 20/10/08 Now some agent there at the plaza in Abuja advised her to get a lawyer to write to them explaining that it was my staff that did the fraud and that they should pardon her and bla bla bla. Now we are preparing another application with an original Tax clearance and also attaching her 1 year Insurance "AKAWO" paper (which has clocked over 550k and is due Feb, 2009 - we forgot this d last time) I have also got a lawyer to do the write-up and it looks and sounds nice. NOW MY QUESTION: Q1. what are her chances of success ? Q2. Does the stamped code on her passport mean anything to u guys ? It seems she was denied on 2 reasons: 1st reason: The fake Tax Cert (I have made the original myself from FIRS) Q3. Is this enuf ? Will they still refer back to the old forged one ![]() 2nd Reason: where the ECO states "I am not satisfied, on the basis of probabilities, that you meet all the requirements of paragraph 41 of the immigration rules. This decision was made on the merits of this application." I googled to know the paragraph 41 and got this: ------------------------------ 41. The requirements to be met by a person seeking leave to enter the United Kingdom as a visitor are that he: (i) is genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited period as stated by him, not exceeding 6 months; and (ii) intends to leave the United Kingdom at the end of the period of the visit as stated by him; and (iii) does not intend to take employment in the United Kingdom; and (iv) does not intend to produce goods or provide services within the United Kingdom, including the selling of goods or services direct to members of the public; and (v) does not intend to undertake a course of study; and (vi) will maintain and accommodate himself and any dependants adequately out of resources available to him without recourse to public funds or taking employment; or will, with any dependants, be maintained and accommodated adequately by relatives or friends; and (vii) can meet the cost of the return or onward journey.; and (viii) is not a child under the age of 18 -------------------------------------- Q4. How can 1 be sure that she has met all the requirements of this paragraph 41 ? It looks vague and seems not to have a clear-cut explanation, as any1 can see it in different ways !!! Q5. Any other advice ?? Thanks in anticipation |
