You can start by ensuring that the panels are actually performing optimally and that the battery is truly receiving those amperage. It would have been easier to diagnose if the battery has a smart BMS
Monsieuryankee:
Please you guys should help me

I installed
Sms (sunmate) 4.2kw inverter
Haisic 8kw lithium battery
600w jinko panel × 5 in series
Problem now is that, the inverter charges the battery very fast even when the weather is very dull, and it discharges very fast.

It can charge to 100% is less than an hour an hour and it discharges so fast.

I installed this setup with 400w x 6 elsewhere and experienced the same problem. Initially I thought it was the low voltage panel that was causing it.

But I'm still facing the same problem with this new installation in a different place entirely.
What could be the problem?

Modified:

The load range between 250-300w

Ok. How do I reach you?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 11:48am On Aug 11, 2025
You only have to change your bulk and float to 28v on your inverter and you are good to go.
Paschal007:
I have a 24v system with 2 tubular batteries and I want to upgrade to lithium. My installer is recommending Taico 5kwh but...

Anyways, is my 3kva felicity inverter compatible with this 7.1kwh and can they communicate or will the settings be done manually? Thank you

Except that REPT is an older brand, which is better largely depends on preference. Hithium for instance, quotes longer cycle but no one has used it for that long. REPT on the other hand quotes slightly shorter cycle but also in excess of 6000.
FEGEITOK:
Which is better Rept or hithium cells?

I am going lithium for the first time

Except I am misunderstanding your concern, the scenario where you will get 23a current from your single 600w panel will most likely never happen. You might never see 20a sef.
xzynwa:
I'm just concerned about the max solar input which could go up to as high as 23A.

Should I go ahead and not be bothered about it 🤔
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 11:04am On Aug 06, 2025
For now, the 24v I have are the 3.9 and 7.1kwh

Good Afternoon Mrreed,
Whats the largest 48v battery you currently produce with metal case that has tires?
With Bluetooth BMS.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 10:22pm On Jul 27, 2025
Bread without a doubt.
FerrariBaron:
Please my fellow lithium enthusiast, between a SRNE 2.56kwh 24 lithium battery and a Bread 5kwh 24v lithium battery, which should i go for since they are both within my budget. I dont know if the SRNE and the Bread lithium battery have smart BMS.

The total watts i want to use the system for is below 700 watts, thank you
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 5:51am On Jul 21, 2025
How about a 25.6v 7.1kwh for 820k (wooden case) or the same battery capacity in a metal case for 900k?

If you would also like to DIY, I have
REPT 280AH 82K
Eve 150ah 57k

Jbond:
Thanks boss for the input, i wanted to go for a 5kwh 24v but because they are all over 1.2m is why i settled for 3.8kwh 12v.

But this evening i saw a deal of 5kwh 24v bread brand battery for 880k, and i want to go for it, please is the battery size too much for the total load which is under 600 watts? And is bread a good brand? Thank you
Technology MarketRe: Diy Lithium Ion Like-minds by Mrreed(m): 8:55pm On Jul 20, 2025
Yes I do.
The ones I have in excess for now are:
Brand new
Eve 150ah 57k

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 4:50pm On Jul 18, 2025
Can you check the individual voltage of the cells in your battery bank ? One of the cells getting to 3.65v before the others wil also stop charging
ask4bk:
Hi guys!

This SRNE 10kva inverter has kept my battery charge stuck at 53.2v. That's far from full. There are 6kwh solar panels connected to it. But right now in hot sun, only the sun is carrying the load of the building (as set by user), and battery isn't discharging as we can see on the inverter.

My first guess was the float was set to 53.2v and that's why its like this.

Entering the settings, battery type is set to Li4. I changed it to USER and set bulk and float to 56.0v (thats my personal setting for all my LFP). Yet, nothing changed. Inverter still only getting the sun it needs to run the house and not charging the battery to set 56.0v.

Settings is such that only solar panels runs all loads.
Charging source is set to solar too. Though there's NEPA, the inverter is set to ignore it.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Battery is cworth 20kwh.

Need help for who understands this SRNE behavior

Usually, the wattage you see on those Chinese air fryers and blender is just for marketing(since their target market thinks higher power draw automatically equates to better performance ) .
The actual consumption is usually lower.
dollarnaira:
Alright, thanks but do they surge?
It is just that I mostly find air fryer from 2.5kw. May be I will extend my search further.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 2:22pm On Jul 06, 2025
HB already gave you the best advice.
Bread 3.5kva will cost 320k if you are buying directly from the company. I think one of their marketers is on this forum.
kewhos:
Good day everyone, please I want to start my solar journey. I’ve been following this thread for a while and I appreciate your contributions.

I need the system to power a load of 600w and my budget is N1.7m, please guide me on what do. Thank you
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 8:13am On Jul 05, 2025
They have always been available I think. See this one for instance

ask4bk:
Just curious.
Why are lithium LFP batteries not common for car batteries to replace the traditional lead acid car batteries that after 1-2 yrs is bad.

I know that cars use high cranking amps to start a car and that may make it hard getting an LFP replacement. But i believe there are special high discharge LFP cells that can be hit with 300-1000A discharge in few seconds just to start the car.
If that is possible, then a special BMS that can chest such high amps discharge can be used.

If such LFP cells exist, which i believe they do (never researched on it yet), and such BMS created, i think we can replace our car and truck batteries with LFP lithium and enjoy our batteries for 5-10 years.
Plus it'll be lighter.

Does anyone have info or research on this and why it isn't happening yet or becoming common, apart from the obvious challenges I've anyway mentioned?

Bad deal it is
He made a financial mistake, you shouldn't.

*One of my customer bought 4 units of DEYE 5kwh lithium battery* 2 months ago and the customer he was supposed to use them for suddenly started prosponding the job and the problem is he purchased the batteries with his own money and now he urgently in need of cash so he decided to sell 2 units out of the 4 units @1.450m each because he bought them at 1.7m each but he is willing to give it out for 1.450m

Is this a good deal?
